Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and Full usage

Both of these machines are technical power houses right?

Well, why do people (especially those who don't know a lot about computers and their architectures) continue to say the same thing over and over again "The PS3 is so difficult to program for, it'll take years to tap into all that power and the 360 has been out a year longer than the PS3 it's already reached 100% hardware usage"?

I personally don't think many of these games have been programmed for Multiple core usage yet, as for starters, most PC games now can still run well on a single core.
Programmers are STILL finding Multiple core CPUs difficult to program for even though MS for example give Game developers an easier ride for programming "Apparently"

No, i think they've reached the limit with 1 single core CPU of the PS3 and 360, especially if they want to lighten the load on a processor Multi core programming would help, i know that much.
As for the PS3 and 360, i think there's a lot more untapped power in both consoles.
and all these people need to stop saying such crap like 360 has 100% power tapped.

About Me

When it comes to games i like what i like the feel of.....looks don't matter a lot to me, if a game is well made, then it shows, Brilliant graphics are no substitute for a poorly made game. I personally like Metroid/Prime because of all the exploring you get to do, Metal Gear Solid, Zelda series, i LOVE FPS games, like Quake, Painkiller Unreal and Doom, also a big fan of Retro Gaming, and SNESing never goes out of style, millions will agree with me there, also liking the DS scene...wow...a handheld that takes Gaming to a new level of simplicity, I've played 4 DS games so far and completed 3 of the 4 i've played. I've played Trace Memory - Perfect game even if slow and short, Wario Ware Touched - Manic minigame madness fun, Super Princess Peach - her 1st full blown game YAY, and my latest game: New Super Mario Brothers: Fun games never felt so easy to pick up and play....which is what gaming is all about and not complex games which are so confusing they make you want to return the game to whence it came. Also, When it comes to games consoles...i'd most likely go for a dozen unknown games consoles with a dozen games each that are going dirt cheap, rather than go for a brand new console with only about a couple of games which would take my fancy, be they 8-bit, 16-bit, 24-bit, 32-bit Etc etc and it wouldn't bother me...hell, i'd prolly buy that Infinium Labs Phantom really cheap if it came to a really cheap price, even now i'm waiting for the Gizmondo to drop to £30....and i'll be there to buy one, you know just to see what they're capable of doing (i'm curious like that....heh)
