Yo, just uploaded my updated collection pics, I have some amazing games and I wanna share these pics with people who appreciate them, so check them out and let me know what you think, also upload your own pics, I would love to see peoples collections and rare games/systems, thanks for your interest and get in touch with your pics etc,...
Okay, so basically I dont have enough time to play my favourite games, Im an electrician in London, UK, so its a demanding job time and energy wise so I dont really get the time to settle into an RPG and with a full time girlfriend it can get really difficult
Its not like my school days when I would take days off of school to play Final fantasy 7 and 8, now I actually have to go to work so I can feed my hungry RPG collection, one thing is, I just bought Elder scrolls III Morrowind Game of the year edition and thought "Jesus, when will I ever get the time to play this AND Oblivion, I just wont, but its all about balance although I never was any good at walking the tight rope.
Oblivion is a game I can pick up at any time and just play cos if I get stuck on one part I just start another part until the part I got stuck on becomes easier and I go back and do that, sometimes I replay through old games I've already comepleted for old times sake, like final fantasy and chrono trigger, at the moment I am playing a fair few games at one time, Xenogears, Disgaea 2, Vandal hearts, Morrowind and of course Oblivion and I'm touching on a few others........
Anyhow, we all know RPG's are time consuming and deprive us of doing something a little more constructive like peeling potatoes or washing grannys squirrel statue but I'm sure they are worth the time, most of them, good luck with your gaming, any views on Morrowind or Oblivion, then let me know, dont be shy..
I really wanna collect all of the rpg's for the ps1 and 2, I feel that they are not only a wonderful thing to collect but they are also perhaps a very good investment, I am, however apprehensive about the speed at which technology is advancing allowing games to be downloaded onto a pin-head, I know that my Rpg collection is for myself but I'd like to think that future games were always released as a physical format and not exclusively downloadable, this would be a massive kick in the teeth for collectors, the only comparison I can make is that of music on vinyls, people still collect these religiously but that doesnt mean that the rise of the ipod has caused a mass exodus from this popular hobby, I believe games developers have defineatly (especially for you guys in the states with growlanser generations and FFXII being released in deluxe collectors editions) latched on to the growing consumer trend for collecting as well as playing, I find this encouraging and long may it continue, in my opinion games should be released on disc and then there should be downloadable content only available to the holder of the genuine game disc with its encoding for on-line verification, its very much this way now but is the tide turning, I really, really hope not, I'm proud of what I have collected so far, I like to look at it and touch it (:-) I dont want a hard drive filled with retro classics, it means nothing to me.
