This is a classic album which varies between fast, intense, insane and bloody fast. This album is what thrash is all about, four men with a knowledge of how to turn controversy into album sales cut their fingers open on guitar strings and break their hands on drum sets. Raining Blood, angel of deathg, peice by peice, agressive perfector, take your pick every song is classic.

You think you've heard all that motorhead have to offer once you've heard ace of spades? Your wrong. Overkill, too late too late, snaglettoth and everything on the no remorse album is perfect.
Kiss of Death could well pass itself off as a geatest hits compilation through the insane briliance of sword of glory & sucker.
The acoustic opening of God was never on your side awakens you (and me) to a side Lemmy never had. It is beautiful. Buy this album.

I never owned any metallica albums before this, I got a tribute album free with kerrang! magazine and thought it was the best album on the face of the earth until I got the original. it blew me away that a 20 year old album could still sound a hundred times better than anything on Earth. Or in the solar system.
