Gustav

Hello :)

Hurricane Gustav is making his way towards the Louisiana coast - where I happen to live - so that sucks :P We're not evacuating though, unless in the next couple of days the storm gets even stronger and seems to be coming right toward us. It feels wrong to wish it not to come here (because then you wish it on someone else) but this hurricane thing is getting old :roll: Hopefully it won't be too bad and we get our electricity back within a few days. UPDATE: So looks like Gustav is pretty much coming right towards us, so we'll probably be evacuating by tomorrow. Spent all day packing more clothes than I actually need, putting everything in our house that we are trying to save on high shelves, and making a plan on where we're gonna go. Last thing we're gonna do is try to do something with the computer, so this is my last update and I don't know when we'll be back. :?:?:?:?:?:?

I was hoping to do a whole Buffy blog on Monday - basically just my opinion about the show, and characters, and plot lines :P - but I guess I'll have to put that on hold. I'm almost done with the show though, I get my last ever Buffy disk in the mail tomorrow :cry: It's gonna be weird, I've been watching since April and now I'll be finished. :(

Lastly, I started school on Tuesday. I think I'm really going to enjoy my English cl@ss this year. The first day we listened to "Born in the U.S.A." by Bruce Springsteen and then interpreted the lyrics. I always thought of that song as patriotic, but it's actually really depressing and . . . unpatriotic. :lol: So that's what my first paper will be written on - writing about a song of my choice :D And while at work on Wednesday, I sat there and willingly read my English text book for six hours (yeah, very slow day). I've never WANTED to read a text book before :P And they had really interesting essays in it about "Buffy", "Grey's Anatomy" and "Veronica Mars".
