Climbing Up the Walls

Climbing Up The Walls is a very dark song, yet, to hell with that its bloody awesome and why is it bloody awesome? Because it is just so creepy and spinetingly...the song builds up to a powerful conclusion which involves Thom Yorke pretty much screaming at the end.

Instrumently also the song sounds really interesting and contrasts wonderfully with the song that comes after it: No Surprises...

This song makes OK Computer trully amazing for me, no doubt and the fact that it actually sounds different along with all the other songs on the album which congeal and thrive together to make this awesome album.

A trully great song.

One of The Cures best albums to my reckoning. Disintergration does not have a bad song on it, and i like an album that has consistancy...but then trully dont we all...from the tragic sounding "The Same Deep Water As You" to the happier stuff like "Love Song" that said dont expect anything too positive this is The Cure after all.

Hail to the Thief

Hail To The Thief is a really good album, something i didnt quite realise for the first few listens. Yet, im pleased with the large variety of different sounds on the album, many of the songs sound really quite different but having said that, still remain to be radiohead. Lyrics wise the album is on top form and once again the words reverberate Radiohead's cynisism to the modern world.

This is not a weak album at all, and deserves being listened to enough for people to realise the sheer quality of the music.

Radiohead seem to be highly underappreciated which is almost criminal considering their consistancy to make good music and their ability to make each album sound different. Many bands choose a formula and work it through all their albums: Coldplay for example, and i dont mean to hack at them too harshly but come on, the recipe and sound is pretty damn similar throughout their albums...thus far anyway.

Radiohead though are an odd band, underappreciated at times then highly appreciated at others, perhaps to the extreme. One poll conducted by channel 4 placed Radiohead's Ok Computer as the number one greatest album ever...hmm, make of that what you will.

In any case, Radiohead deserve to be checked out, especially if you're in to emo or a little cynical about things...Radiohead certainly are, but at least for once this band is being completely honest about things, and doing what they want to do without refering to a constant recipe which works time after time.
