Trapped by School lol

Hey there. I am trapped by my strict school schedule lol! I work four nights a week, work out daily, teach Sunday School, and volunteer as a Big Brother on Mondays. ALL my spare time apart from those commitments is pretty much dedicated to Calculus, Global Issues, French, and Spanish! To be truthful, I am getting awesome grades. However, I find it stressful that I never have time to just relax, play a video game, maybe drive somewhere, or just take a nap. I don't think I will keep on taking four courses each semester, considering all the other things I do as well. Plus, if I join Reserves next year, I will need even more time to myself... so, perhaps I will just take three courses per semester starting next year lol!

Life is going great, though. It started to snow here on Prince Edward Island, which is actually not unwelcome because I kind of like the winter. My car is awesome, my grades are awesome, and my volunteer projects are going awesome. I am also in Layaway for all of November and December, which is great because I enjoy working back there. I have to start my Christmas shopping ASAP lol, and I am also getting restless about waiting for LOST to start Season 6. January is not too far away, though, so I just need to be patient. I also bought a video game online this morning -- "Hitman Trilogy" for PS2. I hope it arrives, but the website I bought it through is not a store with which I am familiar. It is called "Video Game Plus", and it is a Canadian business. I read a lot of positive reviews, plus they have both a Facebook and a Twitter page, so I kind of think they may be reputable... but we will see lol!

I hope you are having a good month so far. TTYL!

Army Reserves

Hey there. Today I had a lot of calculus work to do for school, plus a French class, a Global Issues class, and a Calculus class. I had dinner with my parents, too.

I'm still thinking really hard about joining the Army Reserves. I can't see myself wanting to be deployed until I have my Bachelor of Arts, though. How much choice will I have, if they approach me to go overseas? I could say no, but then they might decide to let me go, since I wonld not be a valuable investment anymore... but then again, after a bit of time serving with the Reserves, I may want to serve overseas. I'm personally pro-army, and I think they do a lot of good work overseas... but thinking about it, and doing it, are two different things.

I should not think about serving overseas or anything, right now. The Army Reserves are not about that. They are about training, working here in Canada, and maybe opening some doors for myself. I think it would be a great opportunity, so I'm probably going to think seriously about applying by January!

Gotta run. School work time, work out time, and then time for bed. TTYL

University Keeps Me SO Busy

Hey there. It feels it has been so long since I last posted! Let's see, what's new...? Well, I'm doing really well in university. It keeps me so busy, though. I barely have time for anything else between work, school, church, and Big Brothers. I kind of think that, next year, I will cut back to three classes per semester, instead of the four I am taking now. Especially if I decide to join the Canadian Reserves!

Speaking of which, I am leaning strongly towards applying for the Canadian Reserves early next year. There are a few obstacles and questions I still have to resolve, but I think it could really shape me into a great man. Unfortunately, my current job (at a store I will not name, but will refer to as Mart) has given me a couple different answers whenever I ask about taking three three weeks off next summer for BMQ training. 1) They say I would essentially have to quit and get re-hired, meaning I would lose my full shareholder's cheque as well as my investment account; and 2) they say that I could have three weeks off, no problem. I need to know which answer is correct lol!

I'm having a good time teaching my new crop of Sunday School kids, too. I am teaching two grades this year -- Grade 1's and 2's -- and they can get pretty wild. We did a craft last Sunday which involved a cut-out of the human body, and drawing their hobbies and interests around the body they received. By the end of the lesson, there were a couple bodies (all from the boys in the class, of course) that were peeing, sprouting chest hair, had genitalia, and had MONSTROUSLY sized nipples. I tried to tell them it was inappropriate to draw stuff like that at church, but I was laughing so hard that I don't think I did a very good job lol!

Well, I gotta run. Time to finish my homework, brush my teeth, and climb into bed. TTYL!

Having a Good Month

Hey there! I'm having a pretty good month. I'm busier than ever with school, work, and church. Big Brothers Big Sisters has not started yet, but I ran into my Little at work the other day. I'm pretty excited to start hanging out with him again! He's a good kid, and makes me laugh a lot.

I am teaching Sunday School this morning, and then hopefully picking up a few hours at work. Unfortunately, I have to work Sundays now. With school, I'm not able to work a lot throughout the week, so Sunday is a great day to get in the hours I really need.

I'm doing my best in all my classes! Spanish is great, and my favorite course so far. Global Issues has improved a lot -- the professor has not been swearing as much, and even caught himself saying 'gosh darn' the other day. I appreciated him choosing not to use that language lol! French is tough, but I'm not bad at French. I had my first test in that subject this week passed, and I hope I did good! Also, Calculus is still really interesting, and the professor rocks.

After work today, I'm going to pick up one of my friends. Her grandpa died, and she will be at his wake all day, shaking hands with people... I hope it isn't too rough for her. Her grandpa lived at home with her, so he was more or less like a father figure. I am taking her to Dairy Queens so she can relax a little bit, and maybe talk if she wants to do that.

Gotta go! Have a great Sunday. TTYL!

First Week of University Finished!

Hey there! I wrapped up my first week of full-time university today! I am loving school so far. My favorite subject is Spanish because the professor is really out-going and cool, and I love the language. This is my first time studying Spanish so I'm not amazing yet -- but some day lol! I also love French because I feel like I'm one of the best students in my class. It's a nice feeling lol! (That may sound egotistic though lol!)

I still can't stand Global Issues though. The other day, my professor decided it would be appropriate to tell all of us his sexual orientation. Gee, he's gay -- how nice for him. He also still loves to curse, use the Lord's name in vain, and he has no respect for the army. Great! Why did I have to get him as a professor lol? Oh well!

I love Calculus too. My professor is funny and really nice. He's very smart too! I like math a lot, and he makes it really interesting.

I love having the school-work-church balance in my life again. I'm excited to see what the rest of the year will bring! TTYL!
