Someone tell Collin that the TGS design looks fantastic, fun, funtastic, and fun.
We've just launched our annual Holiday Specials guide so you can keep up with the tried-and-true classic antics of Rudolph, Frosty, and Jack Frost! As well, we'll point out the non-traditional programs that the networks trot out, hoping to jumpstart new holiday viewing traditions - such as the Harry Potter films. Some primetime favorites will also get into the holiday spirit, so we'll make sure you know when to tune in for those.
Take a look at it here!
Also, create a video greeting card and send it to a friend - try it out here!
Happy Holidays!

People always asked me why I kept a poster of Network in the office.
"...they're invented in boardrooms by souless, self-aggrandizing executives looking to make a fast buck by tricking you into thinking you might actually have fun playing their latest science fiction themed action thrill ride -- but this is the reality: this here, in fact, clearly could have been game of the year material just weeks ago, as evidenced alone by the slight shift in the frontalis, coupled by the abnormal tension in the zygomaticus."
Hey guys,
Just launched a small site on the side with a small team and we're looking for a group of beta users to play around with the site and give feedback.
The Site:
The Lowdown:
Thinkingsmartr is (hoping to become) the world's largest, collaborative suggestion box. The site allows you to create any topic you want (by default, you become the editor of each topic you create) and encourages you and others to collectively make suggestions that would improve the topic.
Each suggestion is voted on by the community and the best suggestions float naturally to the top while the least important suggestions fall to the bottom. The hope is that with enough passionatte users discussing their ideas to better a topic --- people will take note and the best suggestions will actually take foot.
For instance, say you have a bunch of ideas to make TV.com better. Go ahead and start the TV.com topic and post some suggestions to help make TV.com a better place. Others can then come in and vote on your suggestions (as well as make suggestions of their own) and with any luck your suggestions will actually be implemented on the site (please note -- this is not a garauntee that all or any suggestions will be fulfilled -- but I will personally be keeping an eye on that particular topic
).
What we need:
A passionate group of users to play with the site and give us feedback on features you would like to see as well as bugs you come across as you use it. We also encourage you to spread the word --- as more get people involved, the more interesting and fun the site will be.
Thanks guys
Including a, shock, lower price tag.
Check out the details here, and tell us what you think.
Neil brought tears to my eyes. He was sweet, funny, sincere, humble and couldn't be more down to earth. He is so happy to still be doing what he loves and thanked all of us for our and support in coming to see him.
Being just 10 feet away from Morrissey while he took part in an uncomfortable interview with David Fricke was mindblowing. I was sitting next to his fan/friend Winnie who he kept talking to during the interview. What a brilliant, witty, brutally honest, good hearted man. Oh, and he's not celibate anymore!
It was interesting to see how drastically Moz's persona changed from the man writhing and rolling his eyes during the interview and waiting for it's end, to the peformer last night at the Austin Music Hall who took of his shirt (twice!) and paraded around the stage (again making snide comments about Bush/bombing Iraq) singing his heart out. I think I lost my mind when he busted out, "How Soon is Now" and "Girlfriend in a Coma". He encored with "Last Night I Dreamt".
Its a free radio thing. Type in the name of a song or artist and it will play a song of theirs and then follow it with a song the site thinks you will like. Hard to describe, just try it. Its great.
For example, I entered "Reel Big Fish" and their song One Hit Wonderful played. Next it played Rhubarb Pie by Five Iron Frenzy, then Go by Mustard Plug, then All Outta Angst by NOFX, Boyfriend by RBF, and it kept going. Try it, trust me.
