Hey, everyone.

Wow. I haven't blogged in well over a year.

Does anyone still read this? How have you all been lately?

For true love.

The distance maims my life,

For every hour without you is an hour unspent.

When I look ahead to the future, my spirit is uplifted:

I see someone whose divine laughter launches my heart forward,

In the direction of a paradise that is reachable, its gates wide open.

If our troubles could be abandoned, and the flames of our abuse extinguished,

I would run with you until the world itself collapsed beneath us.

Even after speaking it, the word still lingers on my lips:

Love, undeniable and indescribable.

Forever will I recall the smile that crept across my face,

Rendered speechless when I heard you speak.

Forever will I recall the violent beating of my heart,

When I could say with certainty that I was enamored of you.

Skeptical I am not, for I have still the conviction of youth within me:

Everything is here to stay. What we treasure today will be seen tomorrow

You amount to all, while the world is little more than an unwanted distraction.

And, upon my deathbed, when memories blind and assault me:

Your name will be whispered, and so will I smile.

Smile and depart with the knowledge that I could experience true joy

And, when I did, nothing else held importance.

Project.

My printer isn't working currently, and I can't e-mail this to my teacher, so I'm posting part of my project here so I can copy it from school tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding.

me

And it just blows me away

I've never been this close to anyone or anything

I can hear your thoughts

I can see your dreams

I don't know how you do what you do

I'm so in love with you

It just keeps getting better

I want to spend the rest of my life

With you by my side

Forever and ever

Every little thing that you do

Baby, I'm amazed by you

The smell of your skin

The taste of your kiss

The way you whisper in the dark

Your hair all around me

Baby you surround me

You touch every place in my heart

Oh, it feels like the first time, every time

I want to spend the whole night in your eyes

Chorus

Solo

Every little thing that you do

I'm so in love with you

It just keeps getting better

I want to spend the rest of my life

With you by my side

Forever and ever

Every little thing that you do

Baby, I'm amazed by you

I would categorize Amazed as a love song because of how strongly the man feels about the woman he is mentioning, and he knows that their feelings for each other are genuine and meant to last. The singer constantly mentions that he is amazed by his partner, and he finds himself deeper in love with each passing day. I know that he is in love because he is telling her that he wants to "spend the whole night in her eyes", and he would like her to be at his side "forever and ever", showing that the two are inseperable and feel that their relationship is meant to last.

I would ****fy this particular relationship as "love at first sight" and "soul mates". The singer was "blown away" completely when he set his eyes on this woman, and he knows that she loves him passionately. He also believes that they share a deep connection, because their closeness allows him to "hear her thoughts" and "see her dreams". No arguments are mentioned in the song (the singer only speaks about how much he adores his partner), meaning that their relationship is mostly free of disagreements and shouting.

I would think of this relationship as healthy, even though others could argue that the singer seems obsessed with his lover. His words show that he both respects and appreciates his partner, but not to the point where he completely depends on her. From this, I can conclude that the two highly value mutual respect, because they love each other to the point where no argument could strain their relationship. The song includes lyrics that only show the singer's undying dedication, meaning that the two want to be together for a long time.

EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT: Wedding Song.

My love,

There's only you in my life

The only thing that's bright

My first love,

You're every breath that I take

You're every step I make

And I

(I-I-I-I-I)

I want to share

All my love with you

No one else will do...

And your eyes

Your eyes, your eyes

They tell me how much you care

Ooh yes, you will always be

My endless love

Two hearts,

Two hearts that beat as one

Our lives have just begun

Forever

(Ohhhhhh)

I'll hold you close in my arms

I can't resist your charms

And love

Oh, love

I'll be a fool

For you,

I'm sure

You know I don't mind

Oh, you know I don't mind

'Cause you,

You mean the world to me

Oh

I know

I know

I've found in you

My endless love

Oooh-woow

Boom, boom

Boom, boom, boom, boom, booom

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom

Oooh, and love

Oh, love

I'll be that fool

For you,

I'm sure

You know I don't mind

Oh you know-

I don't mind

And, YES

You'll be the only one

'Cause NO one can deny

This love I have inside

And I'll give it all to you

My love

My love, my love

My endless love

Project: Love Songs

Amazed - Lonestar

My mother's wedding song was "Endless Love" by Lionel Richie. In the song, it seems that the woman has complete control over the man, as shown by his words "I'll be a fool for you" and "I can't resist your charms". This means that the relationship lacks balance, meaning that one partner has more power than the other when it comes to romance. It's obvious that the singer values his lover, and he's certain that she feels the same way, but he's missing the self-worth that's needed for a successful relationship. Unlike Amazed, where it's clear that the singer and his lover care deeply about each other, the man in this song may be forcing the woman into something that she does not want. The woman may also be using him to gain something, because she is using "her charms" to attract the man.

About Me

I was dubbed Matthew shortly after I emerged from the womb. I am an avid gamer who appreciates a solid RPG whenever it presents itself, though I have recently caught the FPS fever, a genre that I seldom played in the past. I accept all friend requests, although that doesn't apply for most guild invitations. I will not accept an invite from someone that I do not personally know, since that oftentimes leads to me not being active.
