A lot has been happenin'
There is much that has happened to me about music. I've been getting into more political hip-hop, like The Coup, Immortal Technique,Dead Prez, and others less so like 2pac, Hit em up is a classic. I've also been getting into Reggae, The Abyssians,Jimmy Cliff, Steel Pulse, Burning Spear. Of course I still think The Clash is the best, I've been listening to more Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros as well. Thats all i have to say right now

Well since im at college I havent had too much time to get any more albums or anything, but lately Ive been having an interest in Spanish Music, the Mexico variety as well as some spanish rap. I was at a protest for the Coalition of Immokolee workers who are being treated like slaves. anyways one guy got up and started rapping in spanish, it was quite great. Im hoping to get some spanish music, but dont know where to start looking. Also im hoping i will be going to ozzfest this summer, tickets are pricy, but my friend said he might get them, the two main bands are Ozzy(ofcourse) and System of a Down, its definitely a must go. well I have a radio show as well, its from 7-8 on Saturday, on 90.7 WVKC Galesburg. you can listen to it online at www.wvkc.org
Hypnotize
Hypnotize the newest album by system of a down came out on november 22nd and met all my expectations plus some. It fits perfectly with mezmerize, as it was recorded at the same time. Its a great album with tracts ranging from the armenian genocide,Iraq war, to the fakeness, and BS involved with hollywood. I recommend all the tracts but if i had to pick a few they would be, attack, hypnotize, U-fig,Viscinity of Obscenity, stealing society, she's like heroin.

Very innovative band, hardcore punk, mixed with dub. Very interesting mix of reggae and punk, recommended to all the punk lovers out there!

One of the few modern rap albums that isn't focused on women and alcohol. Very politically conscious, communist rap. A lot of guest appearances, and jabs at the current political climate.

This album is very different from all their other albums, but has its good rock songs, and its dub. Its a good cd to listen to when hanging out and relaxing. It is like a mix of Sandinista and London Calling. Very Chill album

Disc 1- Much more mellow than disc 2, really relaxing, great songs like junco partner, Magnificient seven. Yellow good on road trips
Disc 2- Much more political album with songs like The Call Up, Washington Bullets etc.. also much wierder with the song Career Opportunities that kids sing, quite strange.

This is, many people argue the best album of all times, that is arguable but it isnt arguable that is definitely one of the greats. So many great songs, great lyrics, the best song I believe is Death Or Glory. of course London Calling is an awesome song. This album cannot be passed up!
