Tonight's the night, the night leading up to Deathly Hallows!

Yes, after what seemed like an eternity, the night which leads to the release of Harry Potter's final adventure (although not altogether decidedly his last ever) is here! Tonight, exactly one minute after midnight, bookstores everywhere will open, no doubt bursting at the seams with fans already eagerly awaiting in line for their chance to receive a copy of the book--a line, that sadly for me, I may not be a part of.

I had truly let my hopes reach an alarming height that I would be present at midnight outside of a bookstore for the release, but it seems like that may not be the case at all. My mother has refused point-blank to take me as she works double on Sunday and she is reluctant to leave me alone until midnight somewhere (even though I've said many times that I would no doubt be with many, many dozens, if not, hundreds of otherfans and not alone, waiting for the book) and she would not be able to pick me up at such a late hour. She took me to the midnight release of the fifth Harry Potter movie almost ten days previous to today, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, so I am finding little room for complain about her desition. Nevertheless, nobody in my family seems to understand how much it would mean to me if I could make it there tonight anyway. But I do not want to argue the point, as my mother is as much an unmovable boulder as she hasever been (though I do not mean this as any kind of insult, I always understand she has solidly good reasonable reasons behind her desicions), though I really wish she would have allowed me this, which would probably be one of the most memorable moments of my life.

I truly love the Harry Potter series, and although I have not been a fan even for a year, I've truly and honestly become so very attached to the story, the characters, the world, everything. And I think I may just cry tonight, or tomorrow, or perhaps in some distand day of my life, when I think back to midnight tonight, and find thatI was not there, waiting amongst all those fans for what is surely to be one of the most legendary books of the century, one of the most anticipated, and one of the most--if not, the most--memorable in many people's lives. I feel sad that I could not have been here sooner. It would have been so enjoyable if I could have shared the space of time between book one and book seven just a little longer . . . The time during which each book was something brand knew, when each one caused that exhilarating thrill before each of their releases. But I have, unfortunately, only been here for what seems likethe last few seconds of a very beautiful rain of shooting stars. And it would be very nice if I could one day look back and say even though I missed most of all of that, that I was at least there, at that moment when everything was almost over in a way, waiting forthe final starto pass.

And though this is the final day of waiting, I will not stop hoping, not until the last second, that perhaps there is still some way thatI will be able to make it tonight and be amongst all those fans queuing up for the release.

I have never been so exited about anything before, and I don't mind if anyone thinks I'm making way too much of a big deal about this, because it means this much to me. I am very sorry for having shoved this wall of text at the nose of anyone who clicked to this blog and I will completely understand if you skipped from the first line to this final bit. But I just wanted to say I may be gone for a while. I haven't been around much lately anyway though, so I don't know if it will make any difference at all. It's the final book, and I don't know how sad I will be by the end of the last chapter. I don't know how much mourning I'll go through, or if there will be any tears, after this seemingly last installment. JK has not declared thoroughly that it is the last time we have heard of Harry's world . . . or Harry himself. . . .

I give my wishings of good luck to all the fans who read this and may be going to the midnight release, and to every other fan as well, because I know if may be just as emotional for all of them as it will be for me! I feel as though we are about to dig in into the end-of-term feast at Hogwarts in our own way, and I know we'll all enjoy it to the very last second!

More Harry Potter info!

I really should've probably made this blog post this morning, but I didn't feel like it. Anyone who watches the Today show will most likely have seen this already, but the cover art for the Special Edition of Deathly Hallows for the US was released this morning! According to someone-or-other whom I can't remember, the person that wanted this scene portrayed said it was his favorite scene, so it may be a very important part in the book, or just a particularly cool one. Anyway, the picture won't fit here, but the link's below.

Harry Potter fans, sign here. Harry/Luna fans, have a cookie!

Edit 2: DANIEL RADCLIFFE (actor that plays Harry) IS A HALUNA SHIPPER!!!  *does a dance*

Okay, well, if any of you who clicked on this blog are Harry Potter fans, you were probably expecting some new piece of information, or cool pictures, or something, but unfortunately, I have none of that. I don't really have the ability to keep up with new stuff. I made this blog because lately I've been having one of those Harry Potter spasms. Yeah, I know, that doesn't sound right . . .

But anyway, it's not just my craving for new Harry Potter stuff, it's also my complete obsession with Haluna (I've never heard/read anyone refer to Harry/Luna as that, so I'm going to asume I came up with it. ). See, I've been through fanfiction.net, and whilst I still have a few pages of Haluna left to check out (and there are only like 19 on the whole, I think), I think I've already hit and read all the good ones (mostly oneshots, since chaptered stories are often abandoned and are made-up by the authors as they go along, though some are quite good, you should check up on "Jen Summers", she's really good, but that's beside the point. Or isn't it? I don't know, give me a break, grammar is hard!).

So I'm not exactly sure where I was going with this, but the point is I'm REALLY going hysterical for new Harry Potter stuff! I'm out for summer so I don't even have the Harry Potter books to keep me up (I checked them out from the school library and I've not gotten around to going to a public one).

So I guess I want to know, is anyone out there going through the same thing? Any and all Harry Potter fans, sign below! And if you support Haluna, take a cookie. I've bewitched them to turn into deadly poison should you take one and not be a Haluna shipper, so watch out! Muhahaha!!!

I mean, er, cookie?

Edit: Oh, and Anthea, if you read this, what happened to your Frappr account?

Birdies outside!

Well I wish. there's a nest outside my front door (on a hanging basket) and it has four baby birds and they are sooooo cute (and the mama bird yells at me for seeing them). Anyway, I felt like posting a picture of my feathered nephews.

Isn't that cute?

*hyperventilates*

First, I would like to make use of the cry smiley.

Now that THAT'S over, I would like to say why I used it. I SPOILED MYSELF BY WATCHING THE NEW KHII SECRET ENDING! I wanted to wait until I had the game and earn it but I couldn't help myself . . . And it looks awesome. US might not get it though so it'll probably stay a "Japanese exclusive." GOSHDARN IT, LIKE THEY DON'T HAVE ENOGH OF THOSE TO HOG TO THEMSELVES?!?!?!?! The first Kingdom Hearts sold more than TWICE the number of copies it did in Japan, INCLUDING the first Final Mix, why the heck don't they want to release it here?!?!?!?!?! You know, it's only been two days since the new Final Mix came out, and already one third of the supply has been sold (that's 100,000 copies!!!!!) and I'd be willing to bet ANYTHING that HALF of those sales were imports to the americas! Grrr . . . darn you Square Enix, stop being such squares and SEND US THE GAME!!!!!!!

Well on a related note, to anyone who wants to spoil themselves by watching one of the MOST AWESOME BATTLE SCENES EVER, below you will find a link to a website where you can watch the  new extended secret ending, and see three Knights fight a battle that, although lost, is lost in THE COOLEST WAY EVER!!! So here you go!

Website

When you're there, scroll down to headlines (it's right there, almost at the top). Then click on "Complete Sunset Horizons Movie" and get ready for a super-awesome cutscene and the most spoilers you will get from Kingdom Hearts if you've never played it before. There's a video of the same scene with subtittles for the Japanese lettering, but it's lower quality so I wouldn't really recommend it. Also, this video only has the music of it added, there is as of now no sound to it (ex: sound of footsteps, clanking armor, falling stuff, etc.).

So anyway, enjoy!

Update: You can see the movie with sound and everything here, only with slightly less quality.
