2 Rap/hip-hop icons, 2 albums, 2 reviews, 1 to win it all?
Hey everybody or anybody out there, well, after looking for some new music material, listening to some songs and suggestions from friends and people, have read some critics and reviews, i end up getting a copy of the album "Relapse" from Eminem, and "Before i Self Destruct" from 50 Cent; see, we are talking about 2 famous rap/hip-hop artists, veterans of Dr. Dre, 2 different rapping sttyles, 2 different concepts, 2 different musical records, but 1 genre, and that's rap/hip-hop but mostly rap.
So this is it, Eminem vs 50 Cent, "Relapse" vs "Before i Self Destruct".
Before i start, my review criteria is based mostly on sound quality, then on the music tones, rhythms, beats and sttyles, and maybe the "creativity" factor, which applies for funny lines and funny samples.
First, i will go with 50 Cent with his latest production "Before i Self Destruct"

1.- The Invitation - 2:54
2.- Then Days Went By - 3:44
3.- Death to my Enemies - 3:46
4.- So Disrespectful - 3:39
5.- Psycho ft. Eminem - 4:45
6.- Hold Me Down - 3:19
7.- Crime Wave - 3:44
8.- Stretch - 4:08
9.- Strong Enough - 3:01
10.- Get it Hot ft. Lloyd Banks - 2:59
11.- Gangsta's Delight - 3:14
12.- I Got Swag - 3:34
13.- Baby by Me ft. Ne-Yo - 3:35
14.- Do You Think About me - 3:26
15.- OK, you're Right - 3:04
16.- Could've Been you ft. R. Kelly - 4:19
Well, as one of 50 Cent fans, who owned and listened to every album he released, i might say that his latest album is a really good one. 50 Cent is back with his dark and tough gangsta stlye, as his lyrics are from his hard and tough thoughts and swagger earned from his living in the streets, nothing wrong with it, but nothing new and special about it, that's where he looses part of his creativity, but then, on certain songs, 50 sings like not being serious about it, like on "Crime Wave", so with that, i don't mind if 50 is performing like before. Now, lets take a look at the musical scores, which are sick, great, and fits nicely with 50 Cent's sttyle the album makes a good start from its introduction "The Invitation" to its twelfth song "I Got Swag", then it ends kinda lame with its 4 latest songs, where it gets less aggressive, which is dedicated mostly for those women fans of him, something that is very characteristic about him. The whole album which sounds just right, has just a right and cool sound quality that i think could have been better. So, all things considered, i say that 50 Cent latest album is just good, but in comparison to his previous albums, i say "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" did a whole better job from the rest, ithen, "Before i Self Destruct" felt and sound like his other album "The Massacre", somewhat like its moody twin, so if you're also a 50 Cent fan, this album won't dissapoint, but if you're a looking for a great rap/hip-hop fix you might check other albums from other artists, or go with "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" if you don't have it. Oh, and i almost forgot, my favorite song from 50 Cent latest is "Death to my Enemies", you might kinda love it too.
Now its Eminem turn, with his latest album "Relapse"

1.- Dr West - 1:29
2.- 3 a.m. - 5:19
3.- My Mom - 5:19
4.- Insane - 3:01
5.- Bagpipes From Baghdad - 4:43
6.- Hello - 4:08
7.- Tonya (skit) - 0:42
8.- Same Song & Dance - 4:06
9.- We Made You - 4:29
10.- Medicine Ball - 3:57
11.- Paul (skit) - 0:19
12.- Stay Wide Awake - 5:19
13.- Old Time's Sake - 4:38
14.- Must Be the Ganja - 4:02
15.- Mr. Mathers (skit) - 0:42
16.- Deja Vu - 4:43
17.- Beautiful - 6:32
18.- Crack a Bottle - 4:57
19.- Steve Berman (skit) - 1:29
20.- Underground - 6:11
Ok, to do this a honest and transparent review, i gotta tell you, this is the first Eminem album i completely listened to, as a matter of fact, i'm not an Eminem fan at all, but then i liked previous productions made by him alongside with Dr. Dre. "Relapse" tells a story of an Eminem getting back on drugs addiction, something that it really happened to him, but just once, so the sttyle and concept for this album from Eminem is more about his characteristic insanity than anything else, something that's very familiar with his previous albums, so Eminem fans will feel right at home with this album. The music scores and productions are, in my opinion, excellent, as this is material proof that Dr. Dre still got it when it comes to music production. The album has a dramatic introduction with its intro "Dr West" and the song "3 a.m.", that dramatic feeling is simply very characteristic of Eminem, and it did just good; then it gets better and more intense with songs like "Insane", "We Made You" and "Old Time's Sake", until reaching the profound and moody ending with "Underground", which it sucked in my opinion, rather than ending the album with "Underground" it could have been ended really really better with "Crack a Bottle" instead, but well, mistakes are human; but then, Eminem's insane and acid sense of humor plays a cool role in the album for the sake of creativity more than anything. Now, the sound quality of this album is crystal clear, the whole album including the short skits sounds very good, smooth and detailed, no song will sound louder nor softer than the other, so you might listen to the whole album with the same volume without any problem, and thats one of the good reasons i get to take or buy a music album. So overall, whether you are or not an Eminem's fan, this is a great album that will grow on you while you listen to it, you will really like it, and yes i say "will" and not "might". My favorite songs from this album are "Deja Vu", "We made You","Old Time's Sake" and "Crack a Bottle"
So here i'm done with these 2 albums from these 2 rap icons educated by Dr. Dre, in short, i strongly suggest you to get or buy the album "Relapse" from Eminem, have extra money to buy two albums?, then buy also "Before I Self Destruct" from 50 Cent for more rap/hip-hop goodness.
Sorry if i wrote wrong S-T-Y-L-E with 2 ts, the problem is that gamespot has a code problem with it and you can't write s-t-y-l-e because it ends up like this ****
More music and games reviews soon...
Back to gaming!!
Yep, finally i got my new vid. card which is an ATI Radeon HD 3600 ready to test some new games, so, new game reviews coming soon..
Be the part of a Jilted Generation!
Hey out there again, i came to do another music album review, once again, is from "The Prodigy", which i reviewed its first studio album "Experience Expanded" as an excellent electronic/techno music album, now, if you got the album and heard all of its songs, and getting into their music, you didn't listen to their whole music at all, not even the half part of it, because there's another album which is considered one of their best albums ever, and i gotta tell you, that they may be f**ing right!, because this album got the hardest and most explosive beats ever heard from the band, and i talking about "Music for the Jilted Generation" as it's their second studio album, let's take a look.
%2BMusic%2BFor%2BThe%2BJilted%2BGeneration.jpg)
1.- Intro - 0:46
2.- Break & Enter - 8:24
3.- Their Law - 6:40
4.- Full Throttle - 5:02
5.- Voodoo People - 6:27
6.- Speedway (Theme from Fastlane) - 6:23
7.- The Heat (The Energy) - 4:27
8.- Poison - 6:42
9.- No Good (Start the Dance) - 6:17
10.- One Love (Edit) - 3:53
11.- 3 Kilos - 7:25
12.- Skylined - 5:58
13.- Claustrophobic Sting - 7:12
Well, what can i say?, this album is yet simply the magnum opus of The Prodigy (though others say is really the album "The Fat of the Land"), is like the evil twin of the "Experience" album, as the band decided to bring a dark and aggressive underground tone and concept, it doesn't matter if you like it or not the Rave/Electronic music genre, because this album is simply amazing. Wanna try like a piece of it?, then go ahead and listen to "Break & Enter", "Their Law", and "No Good (Start the dance)".
Also, they re-released this album with more remixes and other versions of the original songs with a 2-disc set which is called "More Music for the Jilted Generation", but i just recommend you to get the original album, cuz the best is on the first disc.
Addicted to The Prodigy
Hey everybody out there, it's been a long time i didn't play any games since my vid card showed its end, as i'm getting a new one in a couple of weeks. Anyway, i'm bringing another kind of music review from my musical preferences and point of view (doesn't have to be "of sound"?) thanks to some friends recommendations and a new musical genre preference, and this time i'm talking about one of the pioneers of hardcore techno, electronic, rave, and breakbeat, "The Prodigy", which is a group of british musicians; which I may or not compare its music with the dj Tiesto ones, but in the Hardcore Techno and Alternative Electronic music, these guys excels and are amazing on whatever or whichever song they do, remix, and/or release. (NOTE: if you aren't a techno and/ or electronic music fan, or you don't want to get to or listen to it, then stop reading and look around for other things)
So, i got an album recommended and borrowed from a friend, that after listening to all of its song, it made me rush to the store to got an copy, and i'm talking about :
Experience Expanded: Remixes and B-sides

Disc 1
1.- Jericho - 3:42
2.- Music Reach (1/2/3/4) - 4:12
3.- Wind it Up - 4:33
4.- Your Love (Remix) - 5:30
5.- G-Force, Pt. 2 (Hyperspeed) - 5:16
6.- Charly (Trip into Drum and Bass Version) - 5:12
7.- Out of Space - 4:57
8.- Everybody in the Place (155 and Rising) - 4:10
9.- Weather Experience - 8:06
10.- Fire (Sunrise Version) - 4:57
11.- Ruff in the Jungle Bizness - 5:10
12.- Death of the Prodigy dancers (live) - 3:43
Disc 2
1.- Your Love - 6:02
2.- Ruff in the Jungle Bizness (Uplifting Vibes Remix) - 4:16
3.- Charly (Alley Cat Remix) - 5:21
4.- Fire (Edit) - 3:24
5.- We are the Ruffiest - 5:18
6.- Weather Experience (Top Buzz Remix) - 6:53
7.- Wind it Up (Rewound) - 6:21
8.- G-Force, Pt. 1 (Energy Flow) - 5:23
9.- Crazy Man - 4:05
10.- Out of Space (Techno Underworld Remix) - 4:44
This is Techno and Electronic mixed at its best, this is The Prodigy basics and sort of roots, but don't let the simple looking cover art, nor the bizarre song names fool you, as i said before, this is one of "The Prodigy" techno masterpiece, which music scores, tones, vibes, beats, and mixes, sucks my hear senses to the maximum (and maybe yours too). Wanna just listen a piece of them?, go ahead, and try downloading or listening to "Jericho", "Your Love", "G-Force, Pt. 2 (Hyperspeed)", "Weather Experience (Top Buzz Remix)", and if you liked them, then buy the "Experience" album, and be another addicted or fan of "The Prodigy"
PS: The Prodigy's other albums such "Music for the Jilted Generation", "The Fat of the Land", "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned", and "Invaders Must Die", are other nice albums that i may recommend, but you definetely must have the "Experience Expanded" album then listen to the best of the techno and rave music from The Prodigy, if not, the compilations "Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005" can be a great album worth to have.
Great and Must buy Hip-Hop/Rap albums so far by TheCrapp
It was very long since i posted my last blog topic, but what i can say?, i'm really lazy to do blog posts, so i'm not the kind of blogger who speaks a lot, but im tryin to keep it real you know am sayin? you knowdoing quality over quantity, hehe, so; By many recommendations from my pals and friends, and many mp3 songs that i heard from the Internet, i grabbed various Hip-Hop albums and listened to every of them many times enough to have conclusions and release my most favorites and really good Hip-Hop/Rap albums that deserve to be purchased even if you're not so much into hip-hop/Rap music.
1.- Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor

16.- Outro - 12:13
This is simply one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums i ever heard, this album is even better than "The Cool" which was the latest album by Lupe Fiasco, so why "Food & Liquor"?, because it has everything, it has the rythm, the music, the styl and the creativity enough to be a Hip-Hop success, wanna know that I'm right or do you want to check a piece of it?, Then download "Kick, Push" or "Real", and if you liked both, then buy the full album, I highly recommend it, and even if you don't like this album, which I highly doubt it, there sure will be a girlfriend or friend who will like it.

This one, is a special one, because I hardly chose this album over "The Red Light District" which is another great album from my favorite rapper Ludacris, now, why "Release Therapy"? Because this album was made by the best singles of Ludacris like "Tell it Like it Is" and/or "Slap" which are great songs., anyway, the other songs with featured guests are also Hip-Hop/rap top notch like "Mone Maker" and "Ruanaway Love", so overall, a very great album.

20.- Diamonds From Sierra Leone (Bonus Track) - 3:58
21.- Late (Hidden Track) - 3:50
Forget those other albums "Graduation" and "808s & Heartbreak" for a moment cuz this is where Kanye really shines as a great rap/hip-hop singer and producer, with great quality songs from beggining to end, if you want to listen the best, the real deal of Kanye, this is the album you must have. Feeling skeptical about it, then try downloading "Gold Digger", "Crack Music", "Diamonds from Sierra Leone (feat. Jay-Z) and you will get a better sense of it.
Runners-Up (Other Albums if you have that extra money to spend)
There's also other great Hip-Hop albums that are very likeable and good to listen to, which also packs great songs from bottom to top, which are:
1.- 50 Cent - Curtis
50 Cent is one of my favorite rappers, but that doesn't mean that I putting his latest album "Curtis" for nothing, because this album, is a really good one, with a lot of cool songs that liked really much from bottom to top, and is the best album of his discography in my opinion. You got to hear at least "My gun go off"
2.- Nas - Hip-Hop is Dead
Never heard of the rapper Nas and his album "Hip-Hop is Dead"?. You have to, because this is one of the best albums of him in my opinion, listen to "Hip-Hop is dead ft. Will.I.Am" and you will see what I'm talking about.
3.- Lupe Fiasco - The Cool
Nothing compared to its predecessor "Food & Liquor", this album mixes cool songs, but you may listen a not so cool ones, but that doesn't mean is a bad album, otherwise, is a great album too with a really good Cover Art.
And also...
4.- Ludacris - The Red Light District
5.- Kanye West - Graduation
Other Games and Music Albums reviews coming soon...
Great Movie so Far!!: Batman - The Dark Knight
Well, yesterday i went to the movies to watch the so good-mentioned Batman movie, which some friends told and recommend me that was the best Batman movie so far, and after watching it, i was completely agreed with them!!.
Batman: Dark Knight follows the story of Batman itself on the fight against the crime and against the Joker, his worst enemy, all in all in a great, exciting and action-filled movie from beginning to end, even if your not a Batman fan you will love this movie just like me and just like any other, so if u got a little dissapointed with the Batman Begins movie, is because the producers saved the best for this outstanding sequel and to make the backtrack story of Bruce Wayne before and after becoming Batman on the Batman Begins movie, but on The Dark Knight is where the things get very chaotic and action filled just like the comics of Batman.
So, all the perfomance from all the characters were simply great where the best who perfomed on this movie in my opinion was Heath Ledger as The Joker (too bad he died this year, RIP man) and all action effects and scenes were really great. Also let me say that this movie comes with a great lenght of 2 hours with 53 minutes (152 minutes) including credits (not that i did watched them though).

So i posted this blog to say to all of you who didn't watched this movie, to GO and WATCH it!! because is a really great movie, far far far better than the Hancock movie, which wasn't so bad but neither so good. So i gave my impressions, and i waiting for the DVD to grab it.
This year, PC goes DESTRUCTIVE!!
It was announced, it was Confirmed, no rumours nor speculations, two great titles are coming to PC, what they seems to be the most destructive games graphically, what i'm talking about is:
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

With an August 31 of 08 as the confirmed release date, Mercenaries 2 is a game set in Venezuela (southamerica country), were armed and political conflicts comes as a especial opportunity for the mercs, Mattias Nilson (The Animal), Chris Jacobs (The Leader), and Jennifer Mui (The Femme Fatale), to gain some money and blowing all the s*** up. Now that i told you a little brief about the story, let me tell you about the gameplay, which will be awesome and a hell of a fun; if you played the first Mercs, you know how the gameplay will be, but for those who didn't played, Mercenaries, is a free roam (GTA- like) game, where you can go anywhere and do anything, blow up buildings, fire big guns, hijack military and casual vehicles, order drops in of special vehicles, ammo, and bombs, and more, more, more!. I'm trully excited with this one, not only because the graphics and features, is because i want to see how they recreate and renders Venezuela, because i travelled almost every place of it, and to be honest with you, is not a paradise, but it has some sweet spots and places around to join just for a while. Can't wait to drop a big Nuke all over Caracas!! heheh..

A vast array of vehicles will race and go wild on a PC game called Burnout Paradise, which is a destructive racer, were every screw and every part of the car, counts!, it just looks awesome and will be awesome!. No confirmed release date, where i presume will be released it at November, if not December, or October maybe. Check http://www.criteriongames.com/ for recent updates about this game.
UPDATE: Well, as no official release dates has been comfirmed, most of game websites like gamespot and gamestop has posted a possible release date in 1Q 2009 (First Quarter of 2009). Is sad it won't be released this year, but is a safe bet that the game will be a real deal when it comes out
So, that's it, two great games that will destroy a lot of PC's this year (literally, nuff said), that i believe they will earn scores from 9.0 out of 10, to beyond the 9.0 either. Can't wait for them!
Rage On!: Rage Against the Machine (Music Review)
After hearing some great songs like "Bombtrack", "Killing in the name of", "Bulls on Parade", and "How i could just kill a Man", i said "WTF?!?" (in a surprise way) and i bought 4 Albums of them, and all i have to say is, they ROCK!, man, is a great Alternative Metal band wiith great killer songs, and i suggest to buy and listen to these albums:

10.- New Millenium Homes (3:45)
11.- Ashes in the Fall (4:37)
12.- War Within a Breath (3:36)
Is a good album, few great songs, but the band seems that made a leap over their Alternative Metal to a more likely Alternative Rock which sucks but not so much.
Renegades (Year 2000) ..........Great (5 out of 5)
1.- Microphone Fiend (5:01)
2.- Pistolgrip Pump (3:18 )

12.- Maggie's Farm (6:54)
13.- Kick out the Jams [Live] (4:31)
14.- How i Could just Kill a Man [Live] (4:30)
A Great Album, seems that the band mixed the best part of their three albums to make this a hell of a great one, all songs are great in exception of a few ones like "The Ghost of Tom Joad" and so on, but overall great and worth to listen
Well that's all, if you like Rap and Metal, when you mix it, you have a great combo named Metal Encore or better known as Alternative Metal and this band performs it greatly, just buy one or two of their albums and give them a shot, which one of them that i definitely recommend is their first album "Rage Against the Machine" which i loved, and sure u will love too.

My Fav. Gun: The P90
The P90 is a submachine gun developed and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN Herstal). It is characterized by an extremely short barrel and a 50 round magazine that is loaded into the top of the gun. -wikipedia.org-
You heard that?, 50 rounds magazine!!...thats to bring a hell of a firing, and also has a pretty design, but its a inaquarate weapon also, but i don't care, i like so much that weapon.
