Yes, it is Independence Day, and I haven't been posting blogs in a while. But I have a lot to update. I'm moved into the new place, and adjusting. (Actually, this place is bigger than our old home.) And I was having trouble w/ this old dude on YouTube, so I have a lot to talk about that.

But I found and made some graphics. Hopefully they show up, or are animated, cause the doll should say "I'm Patriotic enough, but... Happy 4th Of July!" with blue & red dots. I'm having trouble posting pictures, so I hope these post. Today I'm going to Summerfest, cause you can get in free between 4 & 5. And free admission is the best.

It's been over a year, but...

I got a new person editorship. My 50th too. For the band Flyleaf. Yay! I'm glad.

For those of you who don't know Flyleaf, this is them. They have better known (All Around Me), but this is my fav.

Also, this week I celebrated my 4 year anniversary here on TV.com.

I am seeing Easy Virtue this weekend. For the beautiful Ben Barnes. And I like period pieces. I was gonna see it today, but I overslept.

All for now folks.

Fly In My Ice

The title explains the point. I was drinking a lil glass of Diet Coke with an ice cube in it. After the soda was finished, and the ice had melted a bit, I drank the water and was about to break the ice apart to have that. I thought I saw a lil piece of lint on it, until further examination. It was actually a lil fruit fly that was somehow on there. Well, now I feel sick. That wasn't pleasant. My guess is that the fly landed in the ice tray not long before it was filled with water, and got frozen in there. Eww.

I want to get a 50th editorship for a person, but it seems harder than before. I have to submit a lot, and the mods are tougher. Which is a good thing, cause I remember how terrible some of the subs used to look. But I have to find really good stuff, since not just anything is accepted anymore. Last year, when I was trying to get my 50th, I was beaten out. Maybe I'll have better luck now.

I realized I should go outside more this summer and be more active, but I dunno what to do. And I still have my issues with being in the sunlight to long. I could ride my bike, but I dunno where I'd ride. Actually, I live like 1 to 2 miles away from the rich part of the East Side, and always wanted to check out those houses. We shall see...

New Again...

Yeah, I haven't blogged in 2 weeks. I've been getting lazy. But I am still around. Yesterday I put together furniture. Sadly, there were uneven parts. But I finished it as best I can.

I have reached a milestone here, which I had been tracking, but stopped. I have made over 25,000 posts. Why do I have so many? Well, when I was still in high school, I'd kill time by coming on here. And I've been a member here nearly 4 years (June 15, 2005 if I am correct), so I'm at an average of 6,250 posts per year, or 17 a day. Now it might be somewhere between 3 and 10 cause I don't post as much.

Well, last week, I got Taking Back Sunday's 4th CD New Again, hence the title. I'm listening to it now as well, and couldn't come up with a title. I wasn't sure how I'd like it, since it is a different sound, but I do enjoy it a lot. The songs are great. My top 5 songs are Everything Must Go, Summer, Man, Sink Into Me, Carpathia, and Capital M-E. I love the lyrics and the emotion in EMG. That's why it is my fav.

What else? There are so many articles I seem to read about casting couch directors and producers. And I'd love to know who they are, since I've heard some are big names.

Oh, I've filled out 2 job applications. I don't wanna work at either place, but have little choice. I'd love to work at the alternative boutiques in my area, but ya need 2-3 years retail experience, which bites.

Since it is summer, there aren't many movies I plan to see. I know I'll see Easy Virtue next week. I wanna see Bruno too. In my city, Public Enemies is a big deal since some was filmed here. But I dunno if I'll see it, mostly cause I wanna go to one of the premiere parties here for it. They range in price from $50 to $200.

And I may have plans already for my 21st bday. blink-182's reunion tour stops here on my bday, and my stop has Panic At The Disco and Fall Out Boy. But I'm quite bummed we're not one of the cities that gets Taking Back Sunday. I want up front tickets, but those are so expensive. Oh, am I a blink-182 fan? I do like some of their songs, and I've seen their other bands, and they were both good. I mostly thought I could see PATD again.

Well, that's all for now.

What's my age again?

This is something I forgot to say in my last blog.

I find this funny. When I was 16, I could get away with saying I was 18, or at least college age. I once left school early, went to McDonald's for lunch, and 2 cops asked me if I was a UWM student. I said, "Yeah, I'm a freshman there." I thought that was something, that I was apparently older.

Now, that I am 20 going on 21, I am getting younger. People seem to think that I am 16/17. And when people learn I am in college, they think I am a freshman. I honestly question how I get younger. My mom told me though that when she was 27, she would still get carded, and people thought she was in college. I now feel this weird need to make it clear that I am in my really early 20s, and not still a teenager. At some concerts I've gone to, people thought I was a teen, and they were surprised to learn I was in college. (Some teenaged guys actually thought that was cool)

Though I've been told that now it seems offensive to be thought of as younger, but in like 10 years, it'll be flattering.

Oh, I wanted to make sure I clear something up from my last blog: my mom does support my career choices. She does however think I would be good at an office job. I think I'd get bored at that. It all reminds me of this test I took when I was in high school. One of those career tests. It said I should be in entertainment or something where I can express my creativity. And what I should not do is anything where I help people, cause apparently I wouldn't be good at that. I thought it was funny. And my friend got the opposite, to help people, but stay out of the show biz. So I guess I'm someone who only cares about myself? That sounds bad, and untrue now that I think about it.
