Ok! Now, im strating a new line of blogs, that will be called Next Gen Ranting. Ok! Let me explain myself now. In this generation, I can't seem to find a favorite console. A first, I took for Playstation..... Then for Nintendo, but it seems that in this generation, I can't find antthing making me wanna buy one console over the other! So, i'm gonna blog my thought here. To start off today, i'm gonna talk about the xbox 360.... Please don't be mad if I insult it...... I'llk insult the others too anyways! So, lets start!

Xbox 360: The American way....... NOT

Ok! So, let's re-cap! Im the c.e.o of microsoft and I have to make a review of the original xbox. I would have to say it what total.... Crap! I'm sure that everybody knows that the xbox was overshadowed by the ps2..... And around a table (i'm guessin' they do their mettings around a table... It just seems more conveniant), they decided that the 360 was gonna be..... Well.... A copy! Ok! Let me explain myself! Im gonna name just onething that was copied.... Cuz I would have to write for a while xD.......

1. Mtv Endorsement: That's funny! Many of you might not know this one! At the time of the ps1, sony was lacking American popularity.... So, they made anassociation with mtv! The next music awards they gave out were called: The mtv music awards presented by the sony playstation. They really got a lot of popularity in the U.S.A fr that move..... And guess what? Xbox did the same thing... Kinda sucks to know that the richest company on earth had to copy to get publicity!

Well, let's continue.... Now, we are a while before the launch and in my mind, I ask myself one question: What about the original xbox? Well.... The answer was simple... It was dead! They had totally stopped even talking about the xbox.... That is very stupid.... They could have pulled some cash out from the rest of the console's life.... But what am I saying! Microsoft doesnt need money! They have too much to start with! So.... Why are they still selling stuff? Oh well..... I don't think i'll get an answer for that one soon

Now! The xbox comes out! FRENZY..... And personnaly, while some were paying the big price to get one, I was waiting.... Actually laughing at those who bought it full price.... And I had a reason... But that will come later.... Well, there is another reason: Some of those 360's drives were not well made..... Making it really easy to scrap disks! This was easily repairable, but, some didn"t get that news. Personally, I know a guy that had that problem.... And he deeply regretted buying a 360 from the 1st wave! I'm not saying that only microsoft had something bad on their first line.... Just that it really looked bad in their case... Cuz they were rushing the 360 off anyways!

So..... Now... A while has passed.... And now, i'm thinking about the games.... Well.... Just after the console got out, I thought all the games sucked.... I tried PGR 3 and I was totally dissapointed.... So, when xbox could have won my money.... They just sat there and did not much.... I'll come back on more recent games later now! But now, ot's time to talk about a problem that started to show when the original lineup was all out: The ring of death. Well... I know some people that got it! And it sucks..... Let me tell you, if a cosole breaks after 2 months of use, there is a serious issue! And what worse, not only 2-3 consoles were breaking, a lot were breaking! So.... I was laughing harder at microsoft... Ans they still have the problem!

To come back to games, well, I fell that microsft really did not plan their games well enough! Look, on the 360, I can see a few good games. First, there is Oblivion. Only one problem, that game plays better on the computer and it's a multi-console game. So no advantage made there! Then, there is Geras of War. I really was looking to buy a 360 for this game at 1 point but, I learned a pc port would be made! So, no adantage here either! Then comes Halo! Never liked halo! So, they can't get me there either! Rainbow Six, Graw and Bioshock were good games too.... But I can both get them on other, less expensive hardware! Forza never interested me.... Perfect dark:S:S..... Really not... I have already talked about PGR 3.... And last, Guitar Hero 2 is on ps2! You see.... The way I see it, Microsoft's line-up.... Just sucks... I really ain't attracted by it!

Now.... The last part of my rant will be about the Elite... They just had to make another 360.... I kinda liked the black skin, but when I saw the price... I said: Yeah, xbox are going towards the sony approach again here! And... Really.... The features are really not that useful.... At first.... I thought it would contain an hd-dvd drive.... It would have been quite a deal! But no, it had to countain the old dvd! Aww... They really could have gotten people.... Crap.... 0/10 for this one Micrsoft....

To conclude, let's see the facts:

1. The 360 was rushed off for sure.... With all the problems they are having...

2. They are losing a lot of money again! A billion for the guarante... And what about the devellopment costs? Wow! With the elite, they probably have spent double their original budget!

3. The games are not exclusives... They are all coming to pc! So, i'm Xbox 360 shielded for a long while!

Ok! So let me explain the events that lead to this blog! So, this summer, I spent all my money on various computer parts and didnt raise a single cent for my driver's license....... So my parents werent very happy... But I worked one last week and now, I had about 160$ fot it. Then, they told me they would pay half (of about 500$-600$) so, I needed to raise about 100$ more. So, one day, one of my friends came up and said: If you ever want to sell your Playstation 2, i'm willing to buy it! And it hit me.... If I sell my ps2, that would be quick money, plus with the games, it would cover me for my driver's license! So I did it! I sold my Playstation 2! And, as of now, I have 3 games sold and 2 others that are almost sold. If you are ever interested in buying a game from me, just ask me, I can give you the list of games I own!

So, I decided to honor the ps2. I decided to make a top 10 of the nicest moments of the ps2's still going life. This is a personale list, so please dont say its missing stuff!

10. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 gets a perfect score on the ps2!

I will always remember gow happy I was... That game got high scores everywere and, it got even higher on the playstation 2. I remembe, at the time, how sad I was of having a pc. I don't own this game on ps2, but I love to play it now and then! I have a friend that owns it!

9. Naughty Dog + Insomniac Games + Sucker Punch

Wow! What can I say here.... Just that these 3 companies really helped sony reach the top! They always had something good to give. Ok, at the end, Ratchet and Clank and Jak got kinda outta proportion, but they still remained some good games. I will always remember these games.... Ratchet for the fact that he was the funniest dude around.... Jak for his serious to crazy kinda attitude.. And Sly Cooper for making stealth a funny thing! These game will never be featured on a best-seller list.... But they should.... They are masterpieces!!

8. Thanks for trusting us sony! We now give you the best seller you wanted!

Now... Let me explain the story! On the original Playstation, the gta games sucked.... Well, when they came in the new generation, only sony wanted of them (and of course, it was on the computer). But, it came out..... And it was a major hit! After that, for the rest of the Grand Theft Auto series, the games first came out on the Playstation! How many times did I hear: I wanna ps2, xbox sucks, still no grand theft auto! It eventually got out, but the damage was done. And this game and its two brothers sold many Playstations here! So now, we can only thank Rockstar.... And, they gave bully to the ps2 too.... I almost forgot that

7. The ps2 rocks on until 2010!!

What better announcement for a console to make than the fact that it's life will be pulled to a whooping 10 years? Nothing! This is another reason why it dominated the xbox: Sony made long-term plans for it and they made it clear early that they would be going on with their second console for a long, long time! You see, the ps2 will be getting Guitar Hero 3 and maybe Rock Band... That just tells you that Sony were dedicated! They didnt just leave the second one behind. They said: We will pull all the juice we can get from you before you go to your grave!

6. Harmonix rocks the gaming world with Guitar Hero!!

Ok! This has to be one of the best games available for the ps2! This game made parappa the rapper look silly! And, it gave the ps2 an edge, because it was not featured on the original xbox. Sure, the second is available on the xbox 360, but it remains that in its generation, its the only console to have ever hosted a Guitar Hero game. And, with the announcement that there will be a Guitar Hero 3 on the the ps2 coming this fall, it's still looking like the ps2 will rock on with even more songs! Last, but not least, I have to say that this is one of my personal favorite games... And i'm so totally gonna get it when it comes out on the computer!

5. Another big play by Sony: The Slimline!

Ok! Lets talk seriously about the ps2 slimline. It was a life saver for sony, and it pushed the sales to the maximum they could ever have been. And, they did something xbox did not do: when they fot the slimline out, they cut the price by a big part.Xbox was still stuck with its high 180$ price and the fact that it was still as big as always! What should xbox have done? An xbox slimline! First of all, it would have opened many people's eye to the fact that the xbox still exsisted and, they would have gave a chance to reach at least 5 years with the xbox as their number one console. Some say microsoft got hit by surprise, some say that they just wanted to get out of the generation, but it still remains that the slimline owned in every way (except graphics) the xbox.

4. FFX-2.... Well..... I had to put something like this in my top 10 xD......

Ok... So I totally don't really like this game. It's an rpg, and that's not my favorite still of game. But, this game really has something special: The girls that are in the game are really, really sexy! I really have to say that I had good moments with a picture of those girls in my bathroom! Ok! So now that that is said, let's do back to the regular and very serious second part of Gambit's best ps2 moments!

3. Finally, a good Need for Speed on a playstation console again!

Well, we waited an awful long time to see another decent Nfs game on a Sony console. But when this game came, it proved, once again, that the dominators of the acarde racing world were still EA! This game just rocked really hard! You can't get tired of playing that. And, one of the best new features in the game is the free mode, were you can ride for an unlimited amount of time with cops on your back! This is probably the best game that EA delivered for the playstation 2. And overall, I fell that its argueable that this is the best need for speed game that ever touvhed a playsation console!

2. Gran Turismo 3 and 4 rock out hard, and sell over 25 million copys together!

There had to be some Gran Turismo in this..... But at least its not number one.... But these games really deserved a high place in my list! They are by far the best racing games on the Playstation 2, and the 3rd was the best racing simulation for at least five years after it's release! Gran Turismo 3, on it's side, is the best-selling playstation 2 game of all time. Gran Turismo 4 might not be the best and was thought to be not as good at Forza, but for me, these are, by far, the racing games of the generation! Hey, even the the prologue for the fourth game sold over a million copys!

1. Xbox gets owned by the Playstation.... And by that, I mean destroyed!

Wow! I still can't believe how much the original xbox got owned by sony! Its kinda unbelievable that Sony beat that macine... It was more powerful... It had great games..... But, in the end, Sony came out on top.... This had to be my number 1..... Because, Microsoft has a big number of billions in their bank account... Sony has way less budget and that.... And somehow, wth the big help of certain 3rd party companies, they totally rocked to beat the hell outta microsoft and its xbox.... Now, the only thing to know is this: Will Sony beat microsoft again? Will microsoft have learned from their mistakes? Or, will Nintendo get its reign back?
