I was gone for a day! You know what that means!
Yes! I have finally got my hands on a copy of Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. And boy do I love it! The story is one of the best in Sonic history and everything about the game is great. The art style is beautiful and the characters aren't too bad themselves. Bioware has done a great job integrating the touch screen with the gameplay....especially the super-fun POW moves.
The dialouge is great! You can question almost everything a character says, and all of the characters seem to have a third dimension to them. For example, Amy isn't all over Sonic 24/7(and thank God!). Actually, there was one dialouge thing I laughed at the most*extremely minor spoilers*.
Amy: It's too dangerous! Even Sonic can't take on a whole battalion of robots and echidnas!
(Snarky comment)Sonic: Hello, I'm Sonic the hedgehog, have we met?
I was laughing for a whole minute! God I loved that line.
This little bundle of joy is so addicting....and I can't get over the story....wow.
I'm on Chapter 5. This game is great! I'm not so excited for Sonic Unleashed because Sonic Team is making it....
If you buy this game, you are going to have a great time!
*Sighs* Again it has slipped......
Through some very elabortate circumstance I was not able to get Sonic Chronicles today(I really don't feel like explaining) and I have calmed down from my rage. I will definately get Sonic Chronicles tomorrow unless for some very odd reason I can't. I would just go after Scholastic Bowl practice to pick up the game.
Still, I wish I had the game in my hands now. I mean, seriously, I pour my money into this(I make very little) game and it is denied to me the day of release. Gamestop confuses me sometimes...maybe things will clear up once I get a job there.
What I'm now anxious for is GS's and Xplay's review of the game. I would really like to know what they think of it(did you know Xplay LIKED Too Human? 0_o).
For those who were wondering, my most anticipated future games are(I will include Sonic Chronicles)
1) RE5
2) Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood
3) Animal Crossing Wii
4) Fallout 3
5) Castlevainia: Order of Eccelsia
6) FFXIII(Give me a release date and THEN I will hype!!)
7) Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 days(Same reason as above)
The Last Remnant
9) Fire Emblem DS
10) Pikmin 3
Very diverse list(did you see I got rid of Fable 2? HA! The game is all hype.)
Have a good day! I'll review Sonic Chronicles when I beat it(Sunday or Monday).
That's it, give me my knives, my machine gun, and my rubber chicken. This is WAR
GRAH!
You all know what happens when I'm denied a game, right? BAD THINGS! VERY BAD THINGS!
Today I called my gamestop and in a cheery tone asked when they closed, after they told me I said I'll be in to pick up Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.
"Actually, that game is being released tomorrow."
WHAT THE ****?
First of all, it was due in TODAY! Second, I called yesterday to double-check the date and they said, "Yes, it will be here."
Pfft. I bet they already have it, and they're just going to release it tomorrow. I'm sure gamers are just walking in there right now and getting the game while I'm stuck in my house not knowing what to think! They did the same thing for Rock Band Wii but I still came in and it was there! I am so pissed!
Now I have to wait another day.....ugh! My 2nd-most anticipated game slipped from my grasp! Grrrrrrrrrrrr........
Sonic Chronicles TOMORROW!
Yes yes yes! On Sonic Chronicles eve I am more excited for the game than EVER! I should get it by 7:00 tomorrow night leaving 3 hours of awesomeness before I have to go to bed. However, some blogs have given mixed reactions. And I want to respond to a particularly negative one.
Chocolate said in his blog that he didn't like the game. Whereas Hyper loved it(thank you for keeping my spirits up). Both blogs contradicted each other when it came to story, control, and gameplay. Chocolate said he didn't like the game because he wasn't to good at it and based everything negtive off that. Some comments on his blog thanked him for the heads up. I shook my head, he doesn't like it because he's bad at it is what I'm getting. The Sonic Chronicles forum suggests the game is great(AU and UK owners posting commented on how the game was). Chocolate's blog is great, I just feel that(again, what I got from his blog) if he doesn't like a game, he should just say that instead of saying it was bad.
Also in game-related things, a Gamestop is opening a mile away from my house! Right next to a BWWings! EPIC WIN! When I'm 16 I'm applying there and after work going for some chicken! w00t! w00t!
I will leave you with three words:
SONIC
CHRONICLES
TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!1
P.S. Eagle Eye still pwns. Go see it nowz!
Eagle Eye= TOALLY EPIC MOVIE!!!!!
Okay so after 5:00 mass last night as a spur-of-the-moment thing I shouted, "Let's go to the movies". Of course my parents didn't want to but my friend did. So my dad drove us out for the 7:30 show. Upon arriving I got some popcorn, we found a seat and made ourselves comfortable. Another one of my friends(whom the friend I was with didn't get along with.....) showed up in the row behind us so that put me in an awkward position. Anyway, all of the awkwardness went away once the movie started.......
Spielburg strikes again! In this movie Shia La Bouf plays a twin whos brother(who worked for the army) was killed recently. Upon checking his bank account one day, he finds a large sum of money (750K) deposited in there and upon returning to his apartment finds enough weapons and ammo to conquer a small country with. The FBI invades his home after recieving a call from a mysterious woman saying, "Leave the house in 30 seconds if you want to live".
This is the story. Along with the mysterious woman talking on the phone, he's got the authorites and another woman with a similar predicament alongside him to deal with. The movie lasts 2 hours and is is simply fantastic. No dime was spared in the making of this movie. What it really does is make clear how big of a role technology plays in our lives. The story is amazing, with twists and turns you'd never expect and a fantastic ending to wrap it up. You'd be stupid to miss "Eagle Eye".
