They all seem to ballpark it. I've actually been following vgcharts and nexgenwars for a while now, and consoleccount is new to me. I can't tell you who's accurate, but it seems vgcharts is the most inaccurate. There's no way the 360 sold only 80,000 consoles since Jan.

As they all show roughly the same figures and gaps does it make a difference, didn't VGChartz do a summary recently that pegged their PS3 sales figure as being withing like 1% of Sony sold (not the usually announced shipped) figure?

The numbers (and gaps) have changed a bit since I posed those numbers. Now, more than ever, there is some question about who might be leading in console sales soon.

NexGenWars lists the following: - Xbox 360 - 11.8 mil - Wii - 9.4 mil

VGChartz lists the following: - Xbox 360 - 10.32 Mil - Xbox 360 - 10.03 mil

If you believe NexGenWars, then the Xbox 360 has more than a 2 million lead over the Wii. If you believe VGChartz, then the Wii is only slightly behind the Xbox 360 and is poised to take the lead in the next few months (which probably won't happen in September as Halo 3 will be relased spurring sales on the 360).

So, the differences in sales numbers on the sites are becoming more interesting -- especially as the Wii gains on the Xbox 360. I'd expect to hear from Nintendo the very minute that they gain the lead.
