And I say to myself, What a Wonderfull World...
Anyway the studying paid off, I passed my 7 interviews and it looks like I'll be getting the job offer next week! Of course that assume I don't have some unknown warrant out on me from something stupid I might have done in my twenties or something that will kill the background check. SO, even thought its not been a great father's day by any standard, kind of down and gloomy but no big deal, the Lord has been more than kind to me and my family. My hopes that He has bless you and yours.
Gots Me a Penny! Only need $99,999.99 more to go!
Woot iI got a Tag or Emblem i mean! a Nice Shiny New Penny, and a FRIEND!
Now, I'm not one to complain, but i can hit level 20 in World of Warcraft in 2 days and it's taking me 4 days to get 25% into level 2! WTF! Seriously if Tv.Com ever expects this site to beat out WoW there gonna have to ratchet down the level grind a bit!!
So, i got my first penny, then i went and checled other peoples emblems, and died a little inside. All in all it simply shows that the site is made to reward, steady continuous posting and contributions. Speaking of contributions, thank you kalsirsk, i know having a newb post a bunch of first time contributions to have them all denied because he didn't format correctly isn't fun, but you were very helpful in explaining how to properly submit them.
Anyway today is a big day for the family. Idont usually write about myself but here goes:
My wife and children live in Blue Bell PA. They moved up there a year and a half ago because our 4 year old son was diagnosed with a type of Autism. We lived in Puerto Rico ( Nice low 80's sunny cahne of rain all year round type of place) up until that point. After going to docotors here and specialist in the states it was brought to our attention that the best palce for our son, or better said the areas witht he best succesfull treatment and support services was Mongomery county PA. So 2 months later we had an apartment, a tons of new furniture, another car (2 adults 4 cars total, somethings wrong here) and a darstically depleted savings account! Wife also had to go to full time mom and advocate for our son, there's also our cute 1 year old dughter she takes care of.
I am the CIo and Founder of a samll tech consulting company in Puerto Rico, Appteks Inc, since the money was made here and things were going well, i choose to stay and help the company grow till i could stay up in the staes full time and be with the family. Unforunately, as the senior engineer, the more work we got, the mroe work I had, and over 18 months ive only spent 9 weeks witht them. Not enough. Now supporting 2 housholds, the PA one and the PR one is dam expensive, so just flying up and finding a job wouldnt work since our cost of living is HIGH because of the dual houshold thing and medical, so i kept trudging away down here till i got to the breaking point. It dosn't matter how much money i make down here, without them ith me it's pointless, hell i do it all for them anyway i don't care about the money, the company or success, i care about them and keeping them well and safe.
So, we decided tat this summer i would leave the company (my partner is my best friend from college, hes the vp and now he'll be running it) move up to PA and well figure it out with God's blessing.
Thankfully the company is solid, i can leave and have it with enough contracts to cover operating expenses and payroll (minus me) for 3 years. But i would be doing a break in which i would be without income for a while.
So out of he blue a recruiter calls last month to see if i was interested in a Sales Engineer job in PA. We'll hell yeah its what i do right now right, cake. Well i have experiance with one of their 4 product lines and the background they need is very broad ( think networkign guy with telecom, security and flow control, but all focused on appplications). Well the interview process has been tough, and i haven't ahd a regulaar "job" for over 9 years! Well now, 5 interviews in the bag, i have 3 more today, one sales (cake) and 2 techs. The techs are gonna drill me from how many bits in a MAC adress to Cert exchanges and application headers.
If i pass the 2 techs i get the job and move up to PA with a starting salary and bonus thats more than enough to cover everything.
SO, lots and lots and LOTS of studying over the last 2 weeks. I'm nervous as heck about this.
Wish me luck!
Big Study Day
I'm 75% of the way through an interview process for an Engineering position in the North East. GOt 2 big online tests tomorrow to finally qualify so today is a big study day as i review networks, Interconnects, DNS, 802.11ad, 802.1q , x509, SSL, Apllication headers and God knows what else!
Wish me luck!
FInal Theory, for now anyway
NipTuckSean posted this yesterday on the boards and it says wht i think better than i could:

"Sopranos" finale: What really happened.
Well it's been quite a few days of post-"Sopranos" speculation and chat. I did five radio interviews on Monday including 40 minutes on "Talk of the Nation" and that finale was, indeed, the talk of the nation. No doubt the finale will live on in pop culture history as a great debate. Did Tony live or die? I love that it has prompted so much discussion and creative (insane?) deconstruction. And now I'm on the verge of being very much over the whole thing. Time to move on. But before I do, a few final thoughts and a debunking of some "Sopranos" myths:
- I still believe, as I wrote, that it was a brilliant ending. As the days go by, it only gets better. For those people who felt cheated and/or betrayed by the ending, well, it could be you were watching the wrong series the entire time. Remember the good times and move on.
- I also still believe Tony's alive and that the camera simply stopped - our glimpse into the machinations of both Soprano families is over. I think the ending leaves room for precisely one other theory: That Tony was killed. It's certainly valid and if you choose to believe it, good for you. David Chase has allowed reasonable people to disagree. Now, onto debunking some popular theories:
- A viral e-mail message has made a lot of believers out of people who either don't check their facts or have Mulder's "I Want To Believe" poster in their rooms. It details who was in the dinner and why each would have a reason for killing Tony. So many people have seen this e-mail and forwarded it to me as "proof" or asked if I believed the logic. Well, no. Because there is no logic. The message states that the menacing guy at the counter was billed as a "Leotardo" and was Phil's nephew from a previous episode. In fact, he's not a Leotardo and is billed in the credits as a guy in a Members Only jacket. It was the first acting job ever for the guy who played him. The e-mail also states that the two African-American guys who come in the diner at the end were the same characters who tried to kill Tony in Season 1. Wrong. Tony killed one of them in that Season 1 episode and the second was tossed out of a car, also presumably dead. Everything else in the e-mail is speculation that makes no sense. And this theory that no "bell" dinged when Meadow walks in is wrong. Play it back.
- Wake up. It wasn't a dream sequence.
- This notion that "Chase killed the audience" - that was us going dead to black - is partially interesting in a metaphorical sense, but has a couple of real flaws. First, who killed "us" and why? The guy in the bathroom? Uh, what for? Chase? Do you really think Chase wants to be tied into a theory that he killed the people who were most faithful to his art? He's already got enough people outraged at the abrupt part and has stated very clearly that he didn't do it to piss people off. Listen, you don't intentionally piss off or "kill" your audience. It defies logic.
- It's been both fun and funny reading some of the interpretations of the end. People are creative (insane?) and it certainly speaks to the beauty of the last scene in that it allows people to imagine what they will. Endlessly. I love that. My colleague, Alan Sepinwall of The Star-Ledger (Tony's paper) has been doing some excellent blogging on "The Sopranos" all year and was wise enough to get Chase to agree to an exclusive interview after the season ended (which I'm sure Chase regretted). It's an interesting piece and Alan is a pretty dogged questioner so you know that he got what he could from Chase, who is notoriously uninterested in talking about theories. But people should be careful about wantonly interpreting Chase saying "Anybody who wants to watch it, it's all there." It's doubtful that he's giving you a wink about hidden clues. It's more likely that he's telling you the episode is pretty clear about what's going to happen.
- And this is a good point to make something very clear: All we know for sure is what we saw. And nobody saw Tony get killed. Theorize all you'd like, but he's alive when we last see him.
- Now, quickly to the idea that Chase may be telling you it's all there. If you watch again, and put all Big Ideas and Murky Mythology aside, you'll see an episode that has Carlo flip to the Feds, Tony's lawyer concede that the process is in motion and Tony, at the end in the diner, tell Carmela that Carlo is going to testify. If you believe Tony is alive and life goes on for the Sopranos - the window shuts on their world - then the biggest of the myriad unanswered questions is, "Does Tony get indicted and found guilty and go to jail?" We'll never know. And we don't need to know. Closure is for broadcast television and tiny minds.
- Lastly, to those who believe Tony was killed, which I've already said is one of only two solid theories: I know that you can spin this theory forever and lots of details will encourage you. For example, some actors have allegedly said the final scene had the guy coming out of the bathroom and advancing on Tony. Nothing yet about a gun. Nothing about a shooting. Just coming out of the bathroom, moving toward Tony. And others are beginning to comment about the two other alternate (fake?) endings and what they could infer. That's all fine and good. But they didn't happen. Whatever they may show, tell or imply - they didn't make the director's final cut. Maybe Chase even had in his mind that, ala "The Godfather," the guy comes out of the bathroom and kills Tony. That's a big maybe given that it never happened. (Besides, Chase likes to wink at "Godfather" references but I doubt he'd want to steal something and be accused of a lack of imagination.) And if you're into possibilities, consider this: Chase changed his mind in the end to leave everything more nebulous and open to interpretation. It could be that Tony really was going to be shot. But all we know for sure is what we saw. And he's alive. Still, if you like that Tony-is-killed ending, go for it. But where's the motivation? If the guy is not related to Phil (he's not) then who sent him? Butchie had already brokered a peace and the power vacuum in New York doesn't leave a climate for organizing such a hit. And the diner was not Artie Bucco's place. It's not a Soprano hangout. So you have to stretch and believe this guy, who we've never seen before, somehow follows Tony then kills him. Could it happen? Sure, why not. But that dismisses all of Tony's survival skills. Come on! Tony got Phil first, when a ton of people saw it going the other way. Tony's a survivor. If indeed you want to believe that Chase would use a character you've never seen before - not at the New York family hangouts, not flying in from Italy - to walk in on the final scene EVER of "The Sopranos" and cap the lead character without explanation, then so be it.
Day 3
Well day three on Tv.com and i must say im very pleased with the site. I always used it for reading but never to actually post on it.
As i promised i will sum up my theories on the Sopranos ending but first i'll give ya a copy paste on a nice qupte i found online.:

Theory No. 1 : Chase is using the final scene to place the viewer into Tony's mindset. This is how he sees the world: every open door, every person walking past him could be coming to kill him, or arrest him, or otherwise harm him or his family. This is his life, even though the paranoia's rarely justified. We end without knowing what Tony's looking at because he never knows what's coming next.
Theory No. 2: In the scene on the boat in "Soprano Home Movies," repeated again last week, Bobby Bacala suggests that when you get killed, you don't see it coming. Certainly, our man in the Members Only jacket could have gone to the men's room to prepare for killing Tony (shades of the first "Godfather"), and the picture and sound cut out because Tony's life just did. (Or because we, as viewers, got whacked from our life with the show.)
Well i for one always thought Tony Died, plain an simple. The reasons being that:
1. I felt there was way too much buildup and tension in the last scene to leave it at nothing
2. The members only guy got more camaera shots and btter quality shots in the last scene.
3. He goes to the bathroom ala Godfathe One
4. Meadow takes forever to park, for what reason I really dont know but her running to the family adds to the sense of urgency.
5. The whole cut out, rigt in line with what Bobby commented on as to what happens when you die. ( sure we can talk about subsonic ammunition but generally if the shoot you in the head with no warning you dont get to hear it. Of course if someone yells at you, or they dont kill you instantly well then i assume thats diffrent but..)
Now i feel that it mght be diffrent. I'm gonna watch it again. 4th times the charm right? and then see what i'll put down here.
Take Care
Day one and Tony Died
Hi and welcome to my rant!
So, i started an account today based on the ending of the Sopranos. I have trolled the boards here for over a year and use the site heavily for the episode recaps, but I personally have neveer felt the need to create an account.
Shows I watch are Lost, the Sopranos, Til Death, and the pretty much anything on HBO, Discovery or History Channel.
Anyway today i managed to get into a flame fest with a guy from New Jersey who was posting how another Philly boy was a hate monger for pointin out that the averagejoe thinks that people from North Jersey can park for their life. this persons strong and way too overly sensetive response was just enough to make me want to open an account and put in my 2 copper.
You can see the thread here

Anyway I'll post my theory on why Tony Sopranos is dead tomorrow!
