Basically the games I'm looking foward to coming out in the next year, 'hopefully.'
-Brutal Legend. I have been looking foward to this game since it was announced mainly because it's the game coming after the masterpiece that was Psyconauts, and Tim Schafer is great. Also, I wanted to support this game to keep Double Fine alive and to give a finger to Activison.
-Alan Wake. Not much of this game has been shown, but so far it looks really intresting, Max Payne 2 was a great game, and I have trust in the developer that they will not pull a Too Human, by working on a game for years and have it just be 'meh.' The story is the main grab here, but I also want to meddle with the light aspects, and how they affect your foes.
-Fable III. I loved Fable II, and I hope that Fable III continues with excellence that has been following this franchise. Nothing excpet a few concept pictures have been shown, but I'm already stoked for this game.
-Star Wars: The Old Republic. I have never played an MMO before, and I think this is the best place to start off. Bioware has made ecellent games, especially KOTOR. Just the expanded story alone will make me want to play this, but they also seem to not be falling into the same pitfalls that Galaxies fell into by making every cl@ss unique and intresting to play.
-Mass Effect 2. I liked the first Mass Effect a lot, but there were a ton of serious problems in it. Whether it be game breaking glitches, hiccups in the framerate, pop in, or long load times, I still had fun with the game, despite numerous issues. With Mass Effect 2 it looks like they are both fixing those problems and making the overall game better. My only wish is that Bioware will hurry up![]()
That's my list, and I think it's pretty good. So what five game's are you stoked for?
I just thought I would make it official and write in my final blog for Gamespot, I'm not really doing this as a farwell to anyone but rather just to confirm for myself that this will be the last time I blog or visit Gamespot on a regular basis.
I have enjoyed my time here and have met some great and intelligent people, unfortunatly however the past few months some of you may have noticed my participation level on this site has dropped significantly. This has to do with a number of things, one of the biggest things is the downfall in the Gamespot community tournaments which I enjoyed participating in, the lackluster reviews, late reporting of gaming news and just the sheer quality of the website with the changes. On a personal level my workload is ever increasing and my priorities have shifted away from blogging and activly participating on a community forums such as gamespot.
So that's it really, maybe I'll be back some day but for now I bid Gamepot farwell!

Well i have yet another review up, this one for assasins creed. Now i am not sure if anyone actually reads this blog but it just gives me a bit of satisfaction to post this stuff. As promised in issue 11 here are my impressions for my two new games - Final Fantasy XII and Kingdom Hearts i'll start with Kingdom Hearts.
As most people have i grew up with the Disney versions of classic fairytales and watched many of their original movies i.e tarzan and the lion king etc. Having not played many Final Fantasy games beside III and XII i was not amazed to see all the classic charecters excluding Cid. I am currently in the boss fight against Cerbureus. However this is my second trip to Olympus Colliseum (you don't have to fight him right away) and have done the first warp ring. The platforming is terrible and the camera is not that much better. The gummi ship sections are not that bad in my opinion. Yes they are nowhere near as good as the bulk of the game but they remind me of Starfox which has some nostalgia value. I enjoy it but the shadow this next game casts is just too big for this to hold a candle to it.
FINAL FANTASY XII
WOW! The story - epic, charecters - involved and you can see where this is going. This is the most value for money i have got in a while. Oblivion is one of the other two which gave me this much value (kingdom hearts being the other) i could go on all day about it but i won't so i am going to go play some now - i have just got out of the barhiem passage and i am building up my level before leaving rabanstre via the aerodrome.

I make it no secret that im a huge Need For Speed fan. Need For Speed 2 was the first racing game that really caught my attention, and Ive been hooked since. After enduring 3 NFS Underground clones, it seems like theyre bringing it back to its roots, and real arcade racing. My biggest dillema, it seemed, was which system to buy it for. I was happy to find that there was demos on both the PSN and XBL, so i downloaded both. Heres what I found.
Quite simply, the PS3 demo was the ugliest racing game ive played on this generation of consoles. Running in 720p, there are jaggies like you wouldnt believe. Looking down a straight road hurts the eyes, as everything on screen seems to mesh together to form a horrible Jackson Pollock painting. The 360 version looks so much better. The lines are smooth, the textures are sharp, and most importantly, the framerate is twice as solid as its PS3 counterpart. There were points in the PS3 demo Where I felt like I was playing an animated slideshow, rather than a game.
How could 2 versions of the exact same game be so different? Is it that the PS3 has inferior shading capabilities (in technical terms, it actually has less shading power than the 360)? Is it that deveolpers have it out for Sony, and want to sabotage them? Is it just that it takes so much longer to write game code for the PS3 that devs choose to cut corners and release the games on time, rather than spend money polishing a game for a system that has half the userbase of its competetor? I choose to believe the latter.
I realise its just a demo, but this seems to be a bit of a trend. It always seems like the PS3 versions of multiplatform games have horrible framerates, and less appealing graphics. I urge anyone with both systems to download both of these demos, because the difference is truly staggering.
