Stardate 2950.3.3
Two days have passed since leaving Byrrd behind. Capt Christensen has tried to contact some friends about your discoveries, but you are moving out of range of the interstellar transmitters within the Blase system. He would prefer not to bring the ship to a halt to use the high-gain transmitters. He has spent a lot of time in his quarters, talking to each crew member in turn. You all know it is in the strictest confidence.
The computer finally made some sense of the data accumulated at the frozen world, and much of it is not good. The energy pulse sent from the surface was of such magnitude it could theoretically carry to the other side of the galaxy. Or enter the deepest layers of Metaspace. Within the pulse was a definable signal of some kind; a message or a warning? The entities on Byrrd were too similar in their energy patterns to be natural. Unfortunately, most of the data about the underground structure was lost during the backing up of the computer's files.
Conversations with an alien (sort of)
"You are not expected here. Greater care will be used in the future."
"Care from detection. My... ship should not have located here. There are no other vessels in sensor range."
"My identity is not what you would understand. You can address me as Pyzates."
It raises its hands to show it is does not mean you any harm.
"Yes, my ship, but you should not have detected it. The hull is... not that it matters. This is an archeological mission. This planet has been set aside for further study."
"My mandate does not allow for interference by Homo Sapiens, Commander Hansen. You are free to investigate the planet, but I must restrict your progress into the channels by any means necessary."
RPG Intro
Since the invention of the metadrive, humanity has spread relentlessly among the stars, the cultures of Earth finding new identities in the vastness of the galaxy. Five centuries after mankind set foot on the soil of an alien world, the expansion has faultered. Almost every planet capable of supporting life is occupied by settlements of dozens to teeming metropolises.
The border of the Confederacy is a dangerous place for anyone entering it unprepared. It is considered a 'no man's land', where territories intersect and alien species reign. Remaining close to their homeworld, humans of the Terran Confederacy are thought of poorly by the more daring empires Cargos, Olfas and Xlannad. It is time to prove that Terra maintains a sense of adventure and discovery...

Imperiate RPG: The Basics
Stardate: Imperiate RPG
Stardate: Races of the Empires #3
Match-up 3 is between two of the more obscure human races.
Borech Technocracy
Devoted to and inspired by technology, the tough Borechites live the furthest from Earth. The fleet is heavily armed but slow, depending on their ability to blast the way out of bad situations. On the ground, they are wear power-assisted armour and wield exotic lances. The elite among them are the Mercan Hada, highly trained leaders that know no fear.
Graelitus League
Originating in India and south-east Asia, the Grael have only recently settled into life on other planets. Their starships are very fast, and are rumoured to possess technology copied from the Auta. A caste system provides the basis for the League's government, with a whole tier geared towards combat. The Grael are not renowned for valour in battle.

Stardate: Races of the Empire #2
Match-up 2 is another pair of human cultures.
Olfas Emperium
The senate is formed of members from all the Imperial clans; Lion, Bear, Lizard, Eagle and others. The fleet is thinly spread but powerful, easily matching larger ships. Ground forces are skilled but lightly armoured, relying on their speed and agility in combat. They are admirably lead by the Battletrines and female Battletrixes.
Xlannad Dictorate
Descended from Japanese and Pacific colonists, the Xlannadick use a variation of Bushido and the Samurai code. The Dictorate starships are renowned throughout the galaxy for their balance of offensive and defensive systems. On land they are held in awe by those that aspire to their dedication to battle. The Dictors demand respect in combat and politics.
Stardate: Movie update
The director would by Alex Proyas or Jonathan Frakes.
Ziyi Zhang as Suli Harikotha, the Xlannad Dictor. You haven't seen her yet.
Jeri Ryan as Ereia Kijane, Olfas Lion clan JAG.
Stardate: Races of the Empires #1
Time to choose sides. It's Empires match-up, human vs human, round 1.
Terran Confederacy
Centred at Terra/Sol, the Terrans retain democracy as the prevailing government. Their fleet is extensive and well-armed, though battle-ready crews are hard to come by. Ground forces are predominantly light- and medium-power armour, bolstered by the impressive Warguard, who wield AT rifles and assault cannons.
Cargos Imperiate
Claiming Cargos/Athuna as their home, the oligarchal Imperiate is dominated by the military elite. The fleet is fast, powerful and superbly trained, deploying across a large frontier. The orders of Cargosian knights are renowned for the no-nonsense approach to battle, using the Knights Erantus to soften up opponents before the Vengus and Imperiatus are deployed.
Stardate: Teammates
For those that don't know the team setup in the Imperiate, it goes like this:
Vel 'Tremor' Ricarlo Treomor - Imperiator, commander
Bade 'Butterfly' Lexon-Treomor - Imperiatess, wife and advisor
Megina Erin Giothanta - Knight Gynus, infiltrator
Malahan 'Maul' Lormar - Knight Erantus, field officer
'Ogre' (can't find his real name at the moment) - enforcer
'Shieldman' (same problem as above) - protector
