Blue Album Review.....

Anybody who thought this was a song lyric, please go and swallow a knife right now. As some of you know, some of you may not know, I don't really care, I recently bought Weezer's The Blue Album. And well, here's the review:

Starting with the cover, these guys look like total dorks, especially the last one. I just hadda say that. Now for what I thought of the songs:

1. My Name Is Jonas - I liked this song. It's got a nice opening riff and its probably the hardest song on the album, which is good because I can't stand stuff that's too soft. 8/10

2. No One Else - This song had some decent lyrics, but for whatever reason, I just couldn't get that into it. It starts off like it's gonna be a hard rocker, but then they slow it down. I as slightly disappointed.6/10

3. The World Has Turned And Left Me Here - This just simply isn't my type of song. I listened to it once and then didn't listen to it again, I didn't like the vocals and I didn't like the guitar lines. 3/10

4. Buddy Holly - This is when the album starts to get pretty good. This one is very catchy and the lyrics are impressive. I listened to this one several times and the only drawback is that sounds just a bit too poppish. 7/10

5. Undone - The Sweater Song - Now, the chorus of this song is great as are the verses, but what bothered me was the opening part where the guy is just talking to his friend at the concert/party. That part was so freaking stupid and pointless. Other than that, good. 7/10

6. Surf Wax America - This one had the best guitar riff on the album and it is really catchy. Surf Rockish I guess is what you'd call it. 8/10

7. Say It Ain't So - Seems to be Weezer's most popular song. I already knew it from Rock Band and I thought it was OK. The lyrics could be better I guess, but overall a good song. 7/10

8. In The Garage - Definately my favorite. I loved the lyrics and I liked the references used. It doesn't get a 10 though, because nothing's perfect.   9/10

9. Holiday and 10. Only In Dreams - I can't remember these song too much, but if I liked them, I'd have remembered them. So for not being memorable, these song get a 5/10

Ah yes, the band itself. Well, the lyrics aren't bad I guess, not that good, but not bad. The singer while not great seems to be competent enough. The guitar(s) were pretty lackluster I thought other than My Name Is Jonas and Surf Wax America. The rythym section was good and I don't see many flaws there. This is a good album, worthy of buying and listening to. Even though alternative is not my thing. Overall, it gets a 7.5/10

Well have fun.

That little f*ggot with the earring and the makeup.....

Yea buddy, that's his own hair. That little f*ggot got his own jet plane. That little f*ggot he's a millionaire."

Not sure if you guys will know this one, its cl*ssic. Shadow or Jacob might. It is also very appropriate considering the rant that I'm about to go on.

There's something that's been bothering me for awhile. It is a band (if you wanna call it that). The Jonas Brothers. Girls ages 8-18 pretty much adore these little b*stards, and they've got virtually no talent. My sister for one, she is 9 and she can't enough of these "teen wonders." She watches they're stupid TV shows and she buys their CDs, shes even got a T-shirt. I even know of some boys that like them. It disgusts me because these guys call themselves "rockstars." What is even more disturbing is the fact that the generation will probably grow up believing that the Jonas Brothers are what rockstars are. OK, sure, maybe they can sing OK, but PLENTY of people can sing OK. I can lol. Kids adore these long haired, talentless, little kids. And that's all they are is little kids after all. It's basically a teenaged backstreet boys. Me and my brother made a unbreakable pact: If we ever see the Jonas Brothers in person anywhere, we WILL punch them in the face, all 3 of them., regardless of how many security guards billyclub us. Who knows what I'm talking about? Let me know will ya.

Well, have a list:

Top 10 songs of the 90s

1. Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

2. Jeremy - Pearl Jam

3. Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden

4. Losing My Religion - R.E.M.

5. Creep - Radiohead

6. November Rain - GNR

7. One - U2

8. Enter Sandman - Metallica

9. 1979 - Smashing Pumpkins

10. What I Got - Sublime

Notice I didn't put any band in twice.

Have fun.

A new blog??? No, it can't be.....

Well, it is. I've been tagged and therefore must try to psot some things that yous probably don't know about me. Yous already know the basics. But here it is.

One: I believe I am one of less than 10 people to be a regular member here and at TVRage. The only otehrs I know of are Calicow, Mad Buck, Shade, and Kametsou.
Two: I am a huge sports trivia nut. I can tell you who won every World Series since at least 1950.
Three: My top 7 favorite bands in order: Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Guns N Roses, Smashing Pumpkins, White Stripes, The Doors, Billy Joel.
Four: My ultimate goal in life is to one day run onto the field during the middle of a game at Citizens Bank Park (the Phillies stadium). I'm not kidding, I'll seriously die unhappy if I never do this.
Five: I work as a lifeguard.
Six: Concerts I've attended: Billy Joel, Allman Brothers, The Who, Genesis.
Seven: I graduate from high school in June.
Eight: Sports I've played over the years: baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse.
Nine: I was at the Live 8 concert in Philly in '05.

There ya go, 9 facts. But one of these facts is not a fact at all. One of them is false, can you guess which one? He who guesses will win a fabulous prize!! Go Flyers, Go Sixers, and Go Philiies! I'll do another list soon for you guys to enjoy.

Oh yea, and I shall tag: Lamoldgreg, DI-17 (still here?), and Sky

have fun.

Dee, Elmis, hp, hf, Shadow and Robo, get ready to argue.

As some of you know, I've benn extremely busy lately with school, school retreats, lacrosse, my family, my job, and some other things and haven't really found the time to blog.  Senior year is flying by, so has high school, now that I actually think about it. It's this f*cking site, it took me 30 minutes to do this blog and the format still isn't f*cking right.

25. Soundgarden 24. Jefferson Airplane 23. ZZ Top 22. Journey 21. The Byrds 20. The Ramones 19. Allman Brothers Band 18. R.E.M. 17. CCR 16. Red Hot Chili Peppers 15. KISS 14. Updates and another music list.

It feels like its been a while since I last blogged, even though its only been like 10 days or so . So what'd everyone get for Christmas? I pretty much just got some DVDs and CDs and junk. This site's been pretty vacant lately it seems. The SP forum's been quiet and Sky and Robo haven't been around in a while. I'll do the song of the week tomorrow or later today cuz I'm at my dad's house and his computer is annnoyingly slow. Instead, I'll leave you with one my world famous lists. Have fun.

song of the week and other random crap

Well I looekd in my inbox the other day to find 2 TOS violations. Hooray! I lost points for one of them so I should be at level 35 right now. I believe I know exactly who is behind it. It's the same person who's responsible for getting another user banned. Obviously I can't mention any names, but there ya go. X-mas and New Years are coming! Shoudld be some awesome times. Yesterday I joined TvRage. It's a nice site, not as good as this one though. I got to talk to Zug again and a bunch of others that have left this site in the past year which was pretty cool. But anyway, heres your song of the week as requested by Dee.

Spanish Castle Magic - Jimi Hendrix

Its very far away
It takes about a half and a day to get there
If we travel by my uh, dragon-fly
No its not in spain
But all the same you know, its a groovy name
And the winds just right.
Hey !

Hang on my darling
Hang on if you wanna go
Here its a really groovy place
Its uh, just a little bit of uh, said uh, spanish castle magic.

The clouds are really low
And they overflow with cotton candy
And battle grounds red and brown
But its all in your mind
Dont think your time on bad things
Just float your little mind around
Look out ! ow !

Hang on my darling, yeah
Hang on if you wanna go
Get on top, really let me groove baby with uh just a little bit of spanish castle magic. yeah baby,
Heres some
Yeah, ok babe, ok
Its still all in your mind babe
Oww !
Yeah !

Ah !

Hang on my darling, hey
Hang on, hang on if you wanna go
And its happening, oh no, damn hey ! thats right baby, listen
A little bit of spanish castle magic
Hey !
Little bit of spanish castle magic
Hey hey !
I cant uh, sing this song, no
Yeah, ok baby
Get on baby
Yeah
Its all in your mind baby
Little bit of daydream here and there
Oh !
Yeah !
Ooh ! yeah !
Ow !
Evrythings gonna be alright babe!

Have fun

song of the week.....

Hey everybody. I've been busy as hell this week, nothing interesting, actually for the most part the week sucked. But oh well, sorry for taking so long with this. Here's the song, it was requested by Josh. It is very appropriate since the Mothership is upon us.

Dazed And Confused by Led Zeppelin

Been Dazed and Confused for so long it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Lots of people talk and few of them know,
soul of a woman was created below.

You hurt and abuse tellin' all of your lies.
Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize.
Sweet little baby, I don't know where you've been.
Gonna love you baby, here I come again.

Every day I work so hard, bringin' home my hard earned pay
Try to love you baby, but you push me away.
Don't know where you're goin', only know just where you've been,
Sweet little baby, I want you again.

Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Take it easy baby, let them say what they will.
Will your tongue wag so much when I send you the bill?

Now try and guess these lyrics:

"We are the priests in the temples of syrinx."

"Hold my breath as I wish for death, Oh please God wake me."

"If I catch you comin' back my way, I'm gonna serve it to you, thats not what you wanna hear but thats what I'll do."

"Don't look back, my memory is breaking, it's been so long since I've felt this way."

Have fun.

I'm off today and will probably go and get effed up tonight then take it easy tomorrow cuz I'm goin to the Eagles game on Sunday! Woohoo. And here's the song of the week. I'm now taking requests for song of the week, so if you have one, just PM me with it. This week's song was requested by  Shadow.

For Those About To Rock by AC/DC

We roll tonight [We're on tonight]
To the guitar bite
Yeah, yeah, oh

Stand up and be counted
For what you are about to receive
We are the dealers
We'll give you everything you need
Hail hail to the good times
'Cause rock has got the right of way
We ain't no legend, ain't no cause
We're just livin' for today

For those about to rock, we salute you
For those about to rock, we salute you

We rock at dawn on the front line
Like a bolt right out of the blue
The sky's alight with the guitar bite
Heads will roll and rock tonight

For those about to rock, we salute you
For those about to rock, we salute you
For those about to rock, we salute you
Yes we do
For those about to rock, we salute you

Oooh, we salute!
Oooh, ooooh yeah

We're just a battery for hire with a guitar fire
Ready and aimed at you
Pick up your balls and load up your cannon
For a twenty-one gun salute

For those about to rock - fire
We salute you
For those about to rock, we salute you
Those about to rock - fire
We salute you
Fire
We salute you
We salute you
Come on, whooa
For those about to rock, we salute you
For those about to rock, we salute you
For those about to rock, we salute you
For those about to rock, we salute you

Shoot, shoot
Shoot, shoot

For those of you, for those who rock
Yeah
(Ain't gonna get tired, won't take a break, we salute you.)

We salute you
We salute you
We salute you

Fire
