Stumbled Upon a Music Trove with my brain full: Return soon as I empty some junk
El-Shabazz was here.
Cheers. I'll return after I've liberated my mind - my brain's currently on vacation; lost between continents. When lucidity finally over powers my nightmares I'll be back to engage in some meaningful prose of the fervent kind.

First off - Lady-P has a good singing voice so props to that. The album though, well... Turn It up makes full use of her vocal range after which things seem to go downhill; she tries too hard to emulate B.Spears! I guess being surrounded by sycophantic "Yes" men doesn't help: forget the pop princess wannabe mode and find a down and dirty rock group to release the vamp in you Paris: it's laying on the surface - be what you are and let that shackled voice rip. Or hook-up with a bad-boy rapper (Shorty$ comes to mind) and open the eyes and ears of the "establishment" - you have so much unused talent behind that voice. Yeah baby! You know you wanna ;-)

TEARS by Frankie Knuckles. Single most influential music of my teenage angst in the '90s. "Godfather F.K." was "the missing parent" in most basement after-hour clubs where the posh and the common mixed; be it Brixton, Toronto, Manhattan or San-Diego. The "Whistle Song" - A "no alcohol necessary" tune which still draws crowds to the dancefloor. "My piece of heaven" - more meaningful to a fugitive than anyone could imagine! Wherever I went, his music was as welcoming and comforting as an old friend: it never failed to bring out the voodoo blood in me. Props Mr. Knuckles - every single heart I've captured in this existance has been won with your help. Meaning of course that the inevitable break-up locked a tune firmly into my psyche. His Influence is as imutable as the laws of Nature; Constant, Refreshing and Uplifting. I salute you, SIR!
