Ever wondered what the inside of a 360 looked like?

Well bam, there it is.

This is the beginning of Vandal's month long journey of studying his 360, and figuring out why it is that Microsoft fails at fixing these things. This project was spawned out of them failing to fix my RROD 360, and it breaking down a week after getting it back. So Microsoft, balls in your court son. If I can fix this before you give me my money back, you fail, and you should hire me.

I Googled a few pages trying to fix mine as well. I found that the x-clamp on the GPU forces the mobo to warp when hot and/or eventually weaken overtime causing the mobo to warp, the solders for the ball-joints eventually get weak and breaking when repeatedly heated and cooled (which is why the towel trick works...it melts them back together), the force of the heatsink on the GPU can cause RROD and other errors. There's a LOT of variations as to why the 360 breaks....-.- just a lot of crap MS did wrong, and most (if not all) of it came from being cheap.

The x-clamp method supposedly works (and is only $5 on ebay). Some say it's a temporary fix...others say it's permanent. Eh, never hurts to try it though. Wont be wasting much money.

D: If you find anything that fix yours I'll be glad to try it on mine.
