Seal has taken us back to the classic Motown sound. He did what in my opinion could not be done. He brought back Motown and did it in its purest form. My record for listening to Seal has been spotty at best, now I'm a full fledged fan.

Billy Joel filled my days and nights with music without pretense or cynicism. His style was that of an innocent, no flash just substance.

So I go to this concert with my friend some years ago. She knows that I have pretty eclectic musical tastes, but she knows I'm into hard faster styles. The concert she chooses is Sade. She walked on stage barefoot. I walked out an adult. Her sound changed my life. She made me appreciate that smooth jazz sound. She made me open my eyes and truly embrace the music of the world.

I'm from Oakland and I don't know how I could have missed her. She radiates joy and love through out the universe and she was that close, how could I have missed her. Her voice is haunting. Her style is without a match. She is beautiful. Triple threat with nowhere to go but up.

I don't know what to say about this artist. She is an artist. Skilled of voices and cadence. Her sound is sweet and melodic, so much so that the language barrier (my fault) isn't even an issue. I look forward to hearing from her in the future. An I will be digging into her past efforts as well.
