Happy Holidays!

I know I haven't really been on for a while, but I just wanted to tell everyone that I hope that their vacations are great and that the presents are fun and what you want.

Phantom Planet

I'm not really expecting anyone to read this, but I just need some place to vent out.

So it aired. the greatest DP eppie (in my opinion) in the world has aired. Not only was it the greatest episode, but it was also the last one. I still can't believe that Danny Phantom is gone. I love the show, and I'm going to grow to hate Nickelodeon even more than I do now if they really aren't going to listen to our protests. We've written letters, made and signed petitions, and even marched protests outside of their building. Yet despite all of our efforts, Danny Phantom is gone. I can't even believe it myself.

Nickelodeon kept all of us phans waiting over a year for the new episodes. So if they think that Danny can just go after two weeks of new episodes, they've got another thing coming. Danny will never leave, and I don't care if people have lost hope. I'm still going to write letters and sign petitions. I'm still going to try my hardest to keep DP on air. There will be more Danny Phantom! I'm going to help make sure of it!

In other news... PHANTOM PLANET WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Even though I already saw it on LiveVideo before it aired on the TV, I was super excited for it. I still jumped up and down in my seat and yelled out what was going to happen next to anyone who would listen. I still squealed at all the Danny and Sam moments (THE KISS!!!) and I still felt so sad, almost like crying, when Danny decided to give up his ghost powers, and actually did. I don't think that the DP theme song will ever get unstuck from my head, and I know for a fact that Phantom Planet will always be my favorite TV movie. DP is still the best cartoon and show in the world, no doubt about it. I'm going to watch it again tomorrow, and if it goes on DVD, I'll be one of the first people pre-ordering it online (whether or not I can afford it).

The entire movie was perfect in my opinion, so if people think otherwise... Anyway, it gets a ten out of ten, five stars out of five stars, and the best reviews people can give.

I LOVE DANNY PHANTOM!!!

Sister's Birthday

As the topic thing says, today is my youngest sister's birthday. She's turning ten, the big one oh, yadda yadda yadda. She grows up so fast...I got her the Hilary Duff With Love perfume set, because she likes Hilary. It was expensive, and because she's so young, I was sure she wasn't gonna like it. Thankfully she did. So anyway, I might not be online for a while, mostly because we're going out to celebrate. (She's had it all planned for weeks.)

First we'll go to Carvel and get some ice cream, then to the mall to get her a Build-A-Bear. After that, we're gonna go to PetSmart and get her a pet. When we go home, we'll check the weather for tomorrow. If it's good, then my mom'll start cooking for a trip to the beach tomorrow. If the weather's too cool for the beach, my mom's gonna cook for a family get-together.

And that's how my day is gonna go. It'll be too busy for me to get online. But at least my sister's getting older and having a lot of fun!

School Coming Back Again?

Can you believe it? After how many days of pure summer fun, August is almost over, and school's almost back here again. I know that some people have even started going back to school. Can you believe that? I personally don't actually start until September 5, but for those of you who are the unlucky people, I wish you luck.

Literature Teachers

This is actually going to be my first official blog. I know it's kind of late to be talking about Literature teachers (I mean, we just left school, no need to start at it again.), but I made several references to my old one (I'm leaving him and getting a new one next school year.) in a few of the reviews I wrote, and wanted to explain some of the reasons why I'm not a big fan of him.

I won't be mentioning his name, because if he actually does end up reading this, I'll be in way too much trouble at the start of next year. If I die, I blame you people for telling him.

During tests, Mr. T. used to pick on me. There were easy questions and tough questions, and we all had a choice on which one we wanted to answer. Why did he have to force me to answer all the really long and detailed essays? Before any of you tell me the 'Maybe it's because you're smart' thing, let me say this: I am not smart. I'm crazy!!! Smart is too big a word for my vocabulary.

In one project, we had to write a fake newspaper article on Jackie Robinson. I made mine exactly like all the other newspaper articles are, long and boring. Heck, even the title was long and boring too.We were having a group discussion, reading off all of our articles and titles, showing off the pictures on the cover and stuff like that. When it came to my turn: (I call this: the title incident. Not very catchy, but still...)

Teacher: Sophia, read us your article.

Me: Okay, but it's boring and the title is kind of long. *Reads article*

Teacher: Not bad. Can you repeat the title?

Me: *repeats title*

Teacher: Hmm, it is a bit long.

Me: I know.

Teacher: What was it again?

Me: *reads title*

Teacher: Class, how can we improve Sophia's title by shortening it?

Class gives suggestions

Teacher: Okay, let's see who in the class has the best title. *Has everyone read their titles* Sophia, what was your title again?

That may not sound too bad yet, but it is really embarrassing if you have to stand in front of the class and keep reciting the extremely long title.

Moving on, there was another incident. We just finished reading the novel in our class, so we were having a group discussion. Afterward, he asked us a question and told us to write down the answer on a piece of scrap paper. I was out of paper since the girl in front of me, the two guys next to me, and one guy behind me kept borrowing some. Not having anything to write on, I used a ripped up piece of paper as my answer sheet. When he was walking by to collect the papers:

Teacher: Sophia! Is that a love note you're writing?

Me: What?!?

Teacher: Don't tell me you're passing notes in class!

Me: I'm not!

Teacher: So that's your answer, then?

Me: Yes.

Teacher: Good. I thought that it was a secret love letter to your boyfriend or something.

Me: It's not.

Again, if you don't think that was embarrassing, let me remind you that the entire class was still there! And they were all laughing at me!

This isn't much of a big thing, but during a class 'boys against girls' contest, he referred to me as a silent and deadly girl. In his words, "Just like this boy's farts!" O_O

The last incident was on the last day of school, the day we were having a field trip to the bowling alley. I'm a shy and quiet person, so I didn't look at the bus list until the last minute. As I was looking at the list, I suddenly realized that my name wasn't actually on the list. I knew I had handed in a permission slip, so I went to my team leader, who just so happened to be my Literature teacher and asked him why I wasn't on the list. He said he didn't know why, and told me that I should have gone to him earlier, not ten minutes before the bowling trips. I nodded because I'm not actually the type of person who stands up for herself. I also nodded because I agreed with what he said (for once) and I didn't want to seem like a goody-goody type who agrees with the teacher all of the time.

He finally agreed to look for a bus for me to go on, and had me look through all of the permission slips. When I found mine, he sent me to the office to see if they could fit me on a bus. The office told me the same thing that he had, and that all of the buses were filled to the brim with students. Luckily, the buses were about a half hour late, and they squeezed me onto a bus. When went on, there were still enough seats to fit a dozen other kids. I was so mad.

This is random because it has nothing to do with my Literature teacher, but I was almost beat up on Thursday, June 14, my last day of school. We just came back from our bowling trip, and my bus driver, George, told us that we should sit in the back of the bus. The bus is dominated by the high school seniors, but we eagerly took the chance. When he came on the bus, he threatened to beat us up... (He actually started on one of the boys. Can you believe that?) Luckily, because me and my friends are girls, he asked us if we wanted to leave or get beat up. I left immediately. Who would want to be beat up?

So that's pretty much why me and my Literature teacher don't get along. There are other situations, but I don't want to say them now. Did you ever have any teachers like that, or was I the only unlucky person in this world?

~Sophia
