My Top 10 Films of the Decade

Welcome to my top 10 films of the decade! Throughout the next couple of moths, I will be making various top 10 of the decade lists. Please enjoy and discuss!

10. No Country for Old Men (2007)

Featuring one of the most chilling villains ever put on screen, No Country for Old Men shows the complex, disturbing nature of a sociopath and his desire to kill. Great acting across the board, No Country succeeds not only as a dramatic, thought-provoking film, but in taking the viewer through a disturbing trip into the mind of a bloodthirsty killer.

9. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)

What I believe is easily the best of the Potter films and simply one of the best fantasy films of the decade, Azkaban features a darker look into Harry Potter's world and boasts breathtaking visual ****and effects, and an ending that will blow the mind of anyone who has never read the books.

8. The Departed (2006)

One of the best crime films ever made, The Departed is a masterpiece by the great Martin Scorsese, and features great acting from the lead cast, particularly Leo Decaprio and Mark Wahlberg, and a great story about betrayal and hidden identity.

7. King Kong (2005)

A visual masterpiece with drama that is as legendary as films themselves, Peter Jackson's King Kong is a stunning remake of the ****c monster film. Jackson could have made a simple King Kong film of the giant ape running around destroying everything and made millions, but he decided to put his heart and soul into a project he believed in, and the result is nothing other than a soon-to-be ****c.

6. The Prestige (2006)

Here's a movie that I'm sure many people haven't seen, or didn't even know about. Before his Dark Knight masterpiece (which we'll get to later in this list), Christopher Nolan made a little film about magicians in the late 19th century who were obsessed with performing magic and stabbing each other in the back. Some of the most breathtaking visual effects I've ever seen and a story that blew my mind up, The Prestige is an excellent film.

5. Inglourious Basterds (2009)

inglourious basterds brad Pitt by Cine Fanatico.

The most recent movie on my list, Inglourious Basterds is easily the best movie I've seent his year. Quentin Tarantino has made yet another amazing, albeit weird, film, this time visiting World War II. Incredible dialogue, heart stopping action, and awesome performances by Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz take this movie above and beyond most war films.

4. The Dark Knight (2008 )

Ahh, here we are, the movie that everyone and their grandmother's dog have seen. The Dark Knight is an excellent movie simply because of the incredible atmosphere of the whole thing, not to mention the incredible action and involving storyline. But who am I kidding, we all know that Heath Ledger's performance is what makes this movie such a masterpiece. Mr. Ledger has given us a performance for the ages. Many have called The Dark Knight the greatest superhero movie ever made. While that is a very worthy claim, I disagree because...

3. Spider-Man 2 (2004)

… I believe Spider-Man 2 is the greatest superhero movie ever made. I will never forget seeing the first movie with my dad, and by the time the second movie was out, I was crapping my pants to go see it, and man, was it worth the wait. Spider-Man 2 is amazing because of it's dramatic storyline, intriguing villain, and the fun of the whole adventure. Like I said, Spider-Man 2 is my all time favorite superhero movie, and I don't think another one will beat it for a long, long time.

2. Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in 20th Century Fox's Star Wars: Episode III

Star Wars is awesome. Period. Revenge of the Sith is an experience that will never leave me. I have always been a Star Wars fan, and when I was standing in line to see Episode III, words can't express how stoked I was. Easily the best of the prequels, RotS is my second favorite movie of the decade because it completed the Star Wars saga so excellently, and the sheer power of the mythology drives the whole movie in such an entertaining way, you can't help but enjoy it.

1. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)

The Lord of the Rings is the greatest trilogy in the history of movies. One of the most amazing stories ever written was brought the the screen so brilliantly by Peter Jackson that I don't think anyone even expected it. The Fellowship of the Ring isn't just my favorite movie of the decade, it's my favorite movie of all time. The visual effects, set pieces, and music score are absolutely beautiful, the acting is basically perfect, and the story is one for the ages. This is a movie that I can watch over and over again and be equally entertained everytime.

Happy Black Friday everyone!!!......OMG I MADE A BLOG!

After several months of not posting anything on Gamespot I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Black Friday.... and Thanksgiving too though I'm a bit late. I'm pretty sure a lot of you were pretty psyched about some exciting Black Friday deals going on today and I hope you guys got what you wanted this year. I only did Gamestops "Buy 2, Get 1 for Free" deal on used games and so far I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. The games I got were:

A pretty cool and funny game so far.

An awesome game so far as well(my brother was overreacting with the difficulty, Demon's Souls was waaaaay harder).

Haven't gone too far into it so I don't have an opinion yet.

Hope you guys got what you wanted this year and if you didn't, Christmas is always around the corner.

On another note, if anyone wants to see my previous drawings I've posted on here and *hopefully* my newest ones I made a deviantART page for my work. Here's my page right here: http://killaman16.deviantart.com/

Til next time...................by New Year's Eve at least.

The almost serious blog, that turned into the blog about MUSIC

Heylo everyone. I haven't blogged in a long time. The thing is, I've just been in one of those no blogging moods. I'd have the idea, hell a whole blog, the layout and everything ready to go, but then no oomph to get it done. It was going to be serious, but since I don't want to do that type of blog anymore, I figured music will do.

So here goes.

duj

As the weeks and months have past, I have been listening to all kinds of music non-stop. You name a genre, I have checked it out. I am always willing to give a genre of music a chance. I'm open-minded, so when something is recommended to me, I'll check it out. So far the music I cannot get into are death/black metal, metal core, screamo, crappy pop (there is some good pop music out there, so hush) and really bad rap music.

I use Last.fm to record everything I've listened to. I joined back in 2005, but started from scratch in June.

So while listening to the music on last.fm, I've found a whole slew of music that I've gotten into. Soon they will be added to my vast collection.

So here they are:

With that stuff done above. I'll talk about the 3 albums I bought on Tuesday.

jk

I grew up on him. He's also from around my way. I had been waiting since October to get this. It got pushed back and I was heated. Then I went to HipHopDX and heard 'Holy Are You'. Good track.

Now I went back to the site and they gave the album 2.5 out of 5. They obviously seem to be obsessed with beats and not words, because like I told my friend Chris, this album will go above people's heads and it did.

Rakim Allah is by far my tie for my favorite rapper ever. The other guy goes by the name of KRS-One. I've listened to this album 4 times already. I'll probably bleed it out by the end of the week.

wm

I discovered them again through last.fm. So far this album s very good. It's nice hard rock that's not trying too hard.

gs

It was just to complete my catalog. And it was a mere $7.99! You can't beat that. And there is a DVD included with it too. I've seen them live a few times, so the live stuff is nice to have.

This game thing here, I must speak of.

I got Tagged 4 times!

Well, I haven't blogged ever since I announced I was taking a break from GS because I was going through a lot of work at school and other problems. I managed to get over that a while after that and I'm pretty sure many of you have already known that for a while.

Now I'll having a bit more time to spare to hang around here since I'm out of school again until next January. I won't just spend all my time here though. I'm planning on getting more in-depth with music theory and I plan on getting on shape to join my High School Football Team, something I always wanted to do but for some reason I always missed the try outs. And I'll find some other useful ways to use my time and I'm open to suggestions.

Anyways what really got me into typing this blog is the fact that I got tagged by 4 people >_>, don't worry though I love confessing

So here are 5 + 4(Times I got tagged) things you might not know about me:

1.My dream University (literally) is the University of Cambridge.

2.I'm a Steelers fan but you didn't know that because I don't usually talk about football.

3.It annoys the hell out of me to see someone barefoot and wearing jeans at the same time >_>

4.Ever since I started High School I get all As and one damn B

6.I'm totally digging Porcupine Tree even though I had looked over them before

7.Daft Punk were the first thing I listened to voluntarily when I was a child, mainly because I used to be and I still am obsessed with robots and I used to think they were robots. But then I got to appreciate them because of their music.

8.I have an M formed by my veins on my left arm, I like to think it stands for metal

9.I am undecided of what I want to do in life, and the things I want to do I am not very good at. But there's always room for improvement.

editor-based systems and wiggles
I was reading a cnn.com article that talked about how wikipedia was planning to move to an editor based system, which sounds similar to tv.com, but not really. I could see where the stakeholders in the Wikipedia group would be more concerned about controlling their content. At least on here, we could always point to the neutral source known as the actual broadcast episode or released boxset, and provide fairly reliable official guides and news articles. We editors usually aren't the actors or programming directors ourselves that we could pull rank on our information. I hope they do continue to credit our work on tv.com whenever they cover TV shows.

The Wiggles have moved from Disney to triple-digit cable-land on Sprout. It's cool that they get to do a few new segments, although their Wiggly Waffle show is broadcasting at 6-9am ET, which means 3-6am PT. Ack, I can't stay up late for that. But it's cool to see them do birthday announcements and pseudo-live things after being free from The Mouse.

My of the Day. Can You Guess Who Does It?

Blades of Glory

I’m a lone wolf in a cage
Lost my partner to a lie
Like a bird with broken wings, yeah
It’s impossible to fly
I tried to live for two
But only trust in one
Is there nothing that we can do?
Are we truly done?
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Could this be the end
of our mythic story?
I don’t know what to say
I don’t know where to turn
All I know is if I stay
Ooh this ice it sure can burn
A man who’s scared of truth
Can only trust in lies
A boy who’s scared to dream
Can never touch the sky, oh yeah
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Today is the first chapter
Of our mythic story
We’ll never part
On these blades of glory
And we’ll cross our hearts
On these blades of glory
What do you say
Tonight we celebrate
By going out our way, yeah
O-oo-oh, let’s go all the way, yeah
It’s our calling
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Blades of glory
We’ll go all night
‘Til we finish the story
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
The dream is alive
And we’ll never be sorry
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory

Or

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
My mother always told me be careful who you love
Be careful what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth, yeah

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

For forty days and for forty nights the law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand, her schemes and her plans
'cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice
Just remember to always think twice
Do think twice

She told my baby we danced 'til three And she looked at me, and showed me a photo
My baby cried, his eyes where like mine
Can we dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don’t go around breaking young girls’ hearts
But she came and stood right by me
Just to smell her sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
Not my son

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid's not my son
Not my son

A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender, "If I show you a really good trick, will you give me a free drink?" The bartender considers it, then agrees. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues.

After the man finished his drink, he asked the bartender, "If I show you an even better trick, will you give me free drinks for the rest of the evening?" The bartender agrees, thinking that no trick could possibly be better than the first. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues. The man reaches into another pocket and pulls out a small bullfrog, who begins to sing along with the rat's music.

While the man is enjoying his beverages, a stranger confronts him and offers him $100,000.00 for the bullfrog. "Sorry," the man replies, "he's not for sale." The stranger increases the offer to $250,000.00 cash up front. "No," he insists, "he's not for sale." The stranger again increases the offer, this time to $500,000.00 cash. The man finally agrees, and turns the frog over to the stranger in exchange for the money.

"Are you insane?" the bartender demanded. "That frog could have been worth millions to you, and you let him go for a mere $500,000!" "Don't worry about it." the man answered. "The frog was really nothing special. You see, the rat's a ventriloquist."

That includes Dave and Ang. I am now confined to the Photobucket. Anyway, this is all gods will. I am lucky to be alive. Everybody is ok. Photobucket, Photobucket is great and the love of my life. sony!

On March 31 I was very excited to find out what Sony was going to tell the public about there newest idea that they were going to do. I personally thought it was going to be an awesome update for the PS3 but i was far off...It was a ps2 price drop!!!!to 99.99!!! Are you serious? How about we worry about the next gen sony and stop worrying about something that has been in stores sense the year 2000! They are losing money from the PS3 because they are selling it for $400 and just with a blue-ray player built in that has to be at lease $400! Not the Wi-fi built in, not the hard-drives they had to buy for every PS3, not the games having to be updated everytime you play. JUST A BLUE-RAY PLAYER IS $400. What I think they need to do is make the PS3 more appealing to the public and stop trying to compete with the XBOX360 and make an amazing council. The PS3 has great potentail, but they just aren't showing it. If they did something completly amazing i the next update...because 2.70 was a completly let down(new text and chat feature are you kidding me!), but do a HUGE update like the XBOX360 did but 2x better. Then maybe the Sony industry will become seccessful again.

I just came back from having another eye test. I'm getting a new design this time. This one is thick and sqaure shaped. I really wanted a pair of round ones. I adore those designs. Oh well. I'll be getting them next week.

Barking Dogs

Ugh, it's impossible to get to sleep at the moment. Someone who lives nearby (I can't quite tell who) has a dog which sometimes barks, whimpers, whines and howls all night - so much so that by around midnight it sounds like it's got a sore throat and is even more annoying, while at the same time just upsetting. Not every night though. Presumably the owners aren't at home and the dog just misses them, which means that they don't even know what's going on and aren't doing anything about it.

What makes it worse, though, is that this ruckus causes all the other dogs in the area to join in, so it's not just one lonely dog keeping me up, it's a whole bunch of other dogs that want to know what's going on too. Even though I live under a flight path in an area with pretty noisy birds and can still get at least some sleep normally, I just can't stand this bloody dog.

Argh!

War of Teh Mad Cuppycakes!!!
Hello members of TV.com, as I have stated before in my previous blog, I am now officially back on this site.

Since my absense, I have joined 2 awesome new sites (Yugioh Card Maker.net and Drifting Evanescence), I highly suggest you check them out. I have also written a ton of stuff on my Fanfics and have them posted them on Fanfiction.net if you wanna check that out. I've been in many plays and am currently in one now (It wouldn't be me if I wasn't connected to theater in some aspect). Yep my school play this year is Beauty and the Beast!

Guess who I got for a role? Here's a hint. It's a line I say in my play.

"Ma Chere Madammosele, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. And now, we invite you to relax. Let us pull up a chair as the diningroom proudly presents........your dinner!"

Still don't know?

***SPOILER***
Well that should answer it for you.

Which brings us to today. Today during rehearsal, at the end is when the cheerleaders come in to lay their mats down for tumbling. (The theater peeps and the Cheerleaders share a pracice room, the lunchroom). My friend Tabbitha who plays Mrs. Potts had her birthday the other day and she brought cupcakes to celebrate, which is cute in my opinion. So I'm talking with my best pal Hayley (Cheerleader) while eating a cupcake, and she accidentally knocks it out of my hand.

So I throw the Cupcake at her and it lands on her jacket. So she thows another cupycake at me, but I dodge it and it hits someone else. So this starts a whole cupcake throwing war. I get nailed in both glasses lens, so I'm blind as pastries keep rocketing both ways, and I slip on a coat, so I hide form the line of fire, I had enough white frosting on my face........

So that was my day in a nutshell.
And of course, I fiddled with my Zune a bit and other stuff.

I wonder how many of my best pals left this site? I hope ninjaX226 hasn't left us yet. (I miss that Churro lovin' dude!)

Well, that's all. I'll stop bugging you.
Here, take a cupcake, just don't throw them at me......

Allhail out bytches! ^_^

S'up, B!tches?

Behold, I am now enjoying my winter break. My 1st semester of college is finally over, and it wasn't too bad, but some of my exams were pretty tough. My finals were pretty much easy, though, except for my Chemistry final, which was kind of a b!tch.

Anyways, I just came by to comment on this site since I realized that it has now pretty much been dead without my awesomeness to keep it alive. **Sigh** Yes, I know you are all angry that I couldn't keep my awesome self here, but when you realize that you're just too good for a site, you kind of have to leave it. Still, I have sympathy for all of you young underlings here, and perhaps one day you will be cool enough to join Animation Revelation, the site which I now reside on.

Well, anyways, I honestly don't really have much to say. As far as anime goes, I've kind of lost a lot of interest in it. Most shounen today are pretty bland and dull, and despite what people say, even if seinen may be more mature, many of them also have tons of unlikable and despicable characters to ruin their enjoyment factor. Also, 99% of harem anime is garbage (its pretty much like softcore hentai, for the most part, as far as I can see), and even though I do like myself a good romance story, the fact of the matter is that most anime do a seriously amateur job at developing good romance, in my honest opinion. So, recently, I've just been revisiting some of the classics, as well as watching some older stuff in general.

I started Fist of the North Star, a few days ago, and its pretty good. I love the martial arts, and the Bruce Lee inspired character, Kenshiro.

I've also been reading the Dragon Ball manga, and its absolutely excellent. It reminds me of the elements that drew me into shounen anime in the first place, and makes me wonder why most modern shounen anime, which do take influence from it, can't try and at least copy of the elements of it that actually worked really well.

As for games, I'm STILL playing Ninja Gaiden 2, partly because its a fun challenge to try and overcome the higher difficulties, but mainly because I simply can't afford to buy anything new, especially since I'm spending all of the money that I currently have, which is not in my bank account, on gifts for my family and friends.

Well, that's all, folks.

If any of my old friends actually happen to be on this site, leaving a comment would be nice. In fact, anyone can pretty much feel free to leave some response comments on this blog of mine. Seriously, you don't have to be intimidated by my awesomeness to feel that you just aren't cool enough to comment on my blog (even though you really aren't ).

51st Blog. I don't have anything else to look forward on this site.

It's been over a year since I joined this site and up till today I've notice that this site is really not the same as it used to be. Is not only the site, but people on it as well. New people, Old people, everything has change. Discussing things here is no longer fun. For a while now, I've been asking myself what the problem is, and it is only recently that I've realized that most importantly, I was the one who changed, and that's the problem.

Most people I talk to here, either old, or new just don't seem the same as before. Either I'm too old for most of you (I'm 20 for those of you who didn't know) or you are too young for me. What I'm trying to say, is that some people I've known for a while, and some others that I've only known recently seem to be too....childlish, and I didn't notice until now.

Some of you are either not growing up, or just growing up the wrong way. People who think they have problems and it's all about them. Thinking that they have to act serious and uncaring in order to look mature, when the truth is that it only makes you look more immature than you really are.

Scatha: By now you should have already realized this has nothing to do with you, since you are the most mature person I know on this site . Keep these guys on check.

I don't feel bad for anything I did or wrote on this site. I believe there's only one person who I need to apologize before going and that's Shini.

Shini: I'm sorry if I ever offended you by calling you a perv or making comments about your anime girl pics (mostly Nami), and I'm sorry about that. I didn't really mean it, and I was only joking. Being a fanboy is completely normal, and you know that I'm also a Dante from DMC and Ino from Naruto fanboy myself, so I was only being a hypocrite by talking about you and Nami.

You were one of my first friends on this site, and even though I don't talk to you as much as I used to talk to you before (even though it is your fault because you are not on as much and you barely go to msn -_-) I can say you are one of the few people who's always been true to themselves.

To everyone, this is my way to say goodbye. Thank you guys for everything, but it really isn't the same and I hope you understand me.

Sincerely,

Richard (Devilslayer444/hellguard777/hellgod444)
