Dim my eyes
Well, i've found that the new tool album is amazing indeed.. meant to be listened to through the end. Don't bother buying the album if you're going to just listen to one song. It's a story, an epic, and meant to be listened to as so. Don't look up the lyrics, don't open your eyes when you're listening, and don't skip a song. Just listen, and feel. 10,000 days is an amazing album. I love tool, and I have ever since I was a little girl. They've been so influential on me, and made my life that much better.
Its really too bad that i'm going to miss them in Boston because I'm grounded. I cried, not kidding. Haha..

Of course when this Album was released when the US was going through its "Hey lets rebel against the war," period, so it's understandable that APC was going to come out with a political album to put their two cents in.
Either way I thought it blew, but my respect for them hasn't diminished any. I can take the album in small doses, but i'm hoping their next album is all them, and no covers.
The artists include Maynard James Keenan and Danny Lohner and they will have an upcoming website, dubbed www.puscifer.com, which has yet to be made. Overall though, I can see Puscifer getting popular.
As I find more information, i'll update, as always Maynard is pretty underground about what he's doing.
Anyways, some beleive this song is yet another ode to Maynards mother, though it sounds a bit too romanticized to be about a parental figure. Others beleive that it's a dedication to Maynards long time fiance, which in turn sounds more realistic than the previous rumor. Then again, Jambi could be based on something far more metaphorical than that, which i'm more likely to beleive, Tool is never very obvious about what their songs are about.
My Opinion: I feel that the obvious overtures are about being so connected someone spiritually and emotionally that you would sacrifice everything for them. They are the thing that grounds you and makes you want to move on in the world, to keep on living each day as long as they are by your side, a figure of stability. A nice concept, but I suggest interpreting it yourself.
All of tool's songs, i'm sure, are open to interpretation as is all music. Personally, the first time I heard this song I cried my eyes out. It's absolutly beautiful. The guys from tool really know what they're doing, not that I ever doubted it.
