Bad Morning

Well, I was having an okay morning....I'd been able to sleep in, this being the second day of my summer vacation, and was kind of bummed that I had to do laundry. But on the whole, it was okay. But now....it sucks.

My cousin, who's twelve, had been sick for awhile. He'd had a bad cold that turned into walking pnuemonia. I just got a call this morning from his mom to tell me what they thought was a simple infection is really a lot worse. He has luekemia...ALL to be exact. It's the most treatable kind of cancer in children, but it doesn't change th fact that he is a very sick boy. And just a few weeks ago, he was hitting home runs and running victory laps around the bases.

I would appreciate if you would keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He'll undergo chemo for a few months, and hopefully he'll go into remission.

Five more days, can you you believe it?!

After an entire month of being tempted by the promo, Chasing Zoey is almost here. It's a bittersweet moment. On the one hand, Chase comes back, Chase and Zoey are certain to get together, and it looks hilarious. On the other hand, Zoey 101 is over after this. I will definitely need to stock up on tissues.

In other news, my college search is officially over. I visited my second-choice college's campus, and I was turned off immediatley. Add bars on the windows and straighjackets and the place could pass as a mental institution. Actually, you wouldn't even need to add that. It reminds of those reform schools people don't like to talk about. It was very...cold. And it was pretty much empty of students. And their spring break was two weeks ago. So, the winner of my college search is......(drumroll, please) Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire! It's an hour and half from my house, and in another state, so that's a little nerve-wracking, but I'm sure I'll be fine. All I have to look forward to now besides Chasing Zoey is graduation. I'd look forward to prom, but my last prom experience was not good. I spent four hours running from my date (who I invited as a friend...something was lost in translation) in heels...around an aquarium. Yeah, I'm not so big on prom.

I also finished that music video that's been bugging me for weeks! The song is kinda old, and a little unorthodox....but then again, so am I. Unorthodox, not old. To most people. Ask the little girl I babysit, and 17 is "really old!". She's eight, so I guess it is old to her. Did wonders for my ego, though. Anyway, back to the video. The song is Cher and Peter Cetera's "After All", and it is, of course, Choey. Here's the link, if you feel like checking it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAd07gs1CNI

Well, that's it....(commentator) Tune in next time.....

College Stuff

The college experience better be worth it. If I have to write one more essay with a badly-thought-of prompt, I'm going to scream. Now that I've said that, watch me get assigned a paper in English tomorrow. I spent three hours tonight writing ten essays, filling out forms, and making sure all my ducks are in a row. I am so glad Spring Break is next week.

And while on Spring Break, I hope to finish a peice of fanfiction I've been writing. A recent crash of my computer sent all of my Zoey 101 fanfiction into the ether of cyberspace, and I've been a bit strapped for ideas. A redition of "I Do (Cherish You)" on piano on Youtube the other night has me inspired, however, so I'll see how that goes. I'm also hoping to finish a Choey music video that's been plauging me for about two weeks.

T-minus about two weeks until Chasing Zoey comes out. I can't wait. Well, I can, but I don't want to. And it doesn't make any difference what I want, because Nick's airing schedule has it's own agenda. I have the promo memorized, and as long as Choey happens, I could really care less what else happens. But serioulsy, aren't they a shoo-in? This is TV....things tend to be pretty predictable. Not to mention there's a group here that will terrorize Dan Schneider with pitchforks and torches if their demands are not met. Afterwards, refreshments will be served and marshmallows roasted over the ashes. A rendition of "Ding, Dong, the Witch is Dead" will be sung as well. Feel free to join in

So tired right now. I'm running on fumes. Ever been so tired you can't sleep? It's an odd feeling. Adrenaline is coursing through my body, and is the only thing helping me type this blog entry. However, if you see a line of "lllll" 's somewhere in my post, be aware that I've fallen asleep on my keyboard. A miraculous feat, considering I'm on a laptop, and it's on my lap.....that's pretty far to fall for a keyboard pillow.

As a side note, I offer condolances to the families and friends of the victims of the Virgina Tech shooting, which happened a year ago today.
