Work is going well. It's fun sometimes with the people I work with but....it's work. You know. But, hey, it's $$$.

My fantasy baseball team doesn't look like it's going to make the playoffs. A slow start, tough schedule, and other teams being more competitive (which is good) have made this season tough. Next season is looking good.

I'll be in three fantasy football leagues. The most important one is one in which I will be going up against 13 of my coworkers for a chance to win $130 ($10 entry fee). Draft is Tuesday night. The two other leagues are only semi-important.

I'm behind on TV news, as I just found out the other day that Courteney Cox will be joining the cast of "Scrubs" in the middle of this season. I'm very excited about that, especially since behind Matthew Perry, she was my favorite "Friend." She's also easy on the eyes...that's always good (definitely why she was my favorite female "Friend").

Speaking of "Friends," I was never really an addict of the show. I would watch it when it came on in new episodes when it was nearing the end of its run. But, I was never one to stop doing everything and watch intently. I liked the show, but wouldn't put it in my Top 7 shows. Recently, I've been watching the reruns on the CW 11 (New York area). It's growing on me. I like it more now than I did before. The last episode was on like two weeks ago; now, they've gone back to season 2. Still not my favorite show, and I'm not going to run out and buy the DVD's (10 freaking seasons), but I like it now more than I did five years ago.

MUSING: If they make a "High School Musical 4," would the next one in the series be "College Musical"? If not, then they didn't graduate and probably had to repeat a grade. Too busy singing and dancing and not studying and passing classes. More than four years of high school = not a good musical.

I have a male cat, and I can't really think of who would get the honors. Zach Braff seems like a good choice, but part of that is because I'm a "Scrubs" fanatic. Yes, it's been a while since I posted here. No, I'm dead. At least, I don't think I am. I have a pulse, so that's good.

I haven't been posting here because, to be honest, I'm usually only on this site to read synopses of past episodes of my favorite TV shows (looking at who that guest star was who I recognized but forgot who where I saw him/her, etc.). I really don't post too much in the forums anymore because I feel that I have better things to do (no offense to anyone...really).

In the past few months, I have gotten my first post-college job. I got it through a temp agency, but am now a full-timer. It's for a computer company; what I do is get new computers and configure them for the end user. It's like formatting the computer and encrypting it to give it a layer of security. The job is not glamorous, but it's $30,000 per year, which isn't bad for a first "real" job (my high school job of working in the supermarket does not count).

Sports-related: My favorite hockey team, the Buffalo Sabres, didn't qualify for the playoffs. My second favorite team, the San Jose Sharks, lost in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs. Switching to baseball, the New York Yankees are in last place. Not cool.

TV-related: The finale of "The Office" was great; I thought the part where they convinced the new employee (Holly) that Kevin was mentally challenged was hilarious. He thought she liked him. Best line: "I'm trying to decide which candy bar to get..."

Speaking of "The Office," the season finale of "SNL" with host Steve Carrell had its moments. The best two sketches: The CPR instructor (Carrell) and the patient (Andy Samberg) and digital short of the Japanese version of "The Office." The digital short was the highlight of the night.

I was very disappointed with the "Scrubs" finale on NBC (last episode on NBC, that is), but only because the stupid-ass network showed the episodes waaaay out of order. Kelso is in the last episode, even though he quit three weeks earlier? Stupid. I know the writer's strike had a hand in screwing up the executives' plans, but still...

The "CSI" finale was interesting, though I knew something would happen to Warrick. We all knew he was leaving the show. Him just saying goodbye is boring; we all knew the writers were going to kick it up a notch (BAM!). Good episode; was not a big fan of the gambling, pill-popping Warrick, so I say good riddance. The group they got left now (Grissom, Catherine, Greg, Nick) are the best four on the show anyway. Let's just hope Gary Dourdan can straighten out his life out of the limelight.

Music-related: I think I'm going to make a CD for my car with just music from "Scrubs" episodes (songs that I have downloaded and are on my playlist, of course). Here's how I think it'll go (order is by the episode it appeared in - seasons 1-5 only - my favorite seasons):

If that song hadn't been used in that episode, I would have used it for the episode in which Kelso leaves (season 7). "Collide" also seemed to fit that moment.

Commercials. We love them. We hate them. We cry with them (not me). We buy stuff because they tell us to. These are the commercials I currently hate.

DISCLAIMER: I hate things because they don't make sense...it's true for commercials, too. I hate them for dumb reasons - I know they aren't supposed to be logical, but illogical = stupid.

1. That Charmin commercial with two bears running on the beach looking for Charmin toilet paper. So many things wrong with that commercial. 1) Bears are not colored red and blue..they're brown, black, or white. 2) Since when to bears walk on the beach? 3) Since when are there port-a-johns on the beach? Where I live, the bathrooms are on the boardwalk. 4) Since when do bears use toilet paper? Rating: 1.3/10

2. Wal-Mart commercials. Specifically, the little yellow star at the bottom right-hand corner of the commercials the instant they come on. What is up with that star? It looks like the star in the logo of the Holiday Inn hotel chain. Observe:

The little yellow star in the bottom of the Wal-Mart commercials is kind of like that, only all little lines are the same color and they all stem out from the center. It's not Christmas related because they had that little star down there in the beginning of November. What is up with that star? Stupid Wal-Mart not explaining things. Rating: 3/10

3. Any TV commercial that previews what is on in their shows during the week. They overplay it and overplay it until, when you see the "funny" part on the show itself, it's not funny anymore. It's been done to death. Perfect example: the FOX show, "Back to You." I heard Kelsey Grammer say "I'm chock full of Botox" in the coming attractions about 500 times. When he said it in the show, it sure as hell wasn't funny. Every network overplays the previews. STOP. Rating: 3.5/10

4. Wendy's commercials. You would have to pay me a hell of a lot of money to wear a red wig and look like a retard in front of millions of TV viewers. I loved the first Wendy's commercial where the chicken was driving the car whilst eluding the cops. I was laughing and saying "go, chicken, go" until a cop with a red Wendy's wig steps out of the police car. NOT FUNNY. More living-on-the-edge chickens, less red wigs. Thanks. Rating: 0.9/10

5. McDonald's commercials. A burger (the new angus burger) cannot be so good that you have to spend a few minutes deciding how many ketchups you should take. A burger cannot be so good that you have to push yourself away from the table whilst sitting on a bolted-down chair. Just say it's good and show how...don't make people act like retards because they're eating a burger. Rating: 1.3/10

6. The Hundai commercials with the "Big Duh" sales events. Not only is a "Big Duh" advertising camapign the stupidest campaign I've heard of, but now they're ruining Christmas songs by having idiots who would be rejected by American Idol ruining the favorites. Example: "Walking In A Winter Wonderland": Duh-duh-duh, duh-duh-duh. Duh-duh-duh, duh-duh-duh. Duh-duh-duh-duh-duh, duh-duh-duh-duh-duh, duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh. Way to ruin the holidays. I mean, REALLY... Rating: 0.1/10

7. Kentucky Fried Chicken commercials. Well, I really don't hate them. I do have a bone to pick, though. It's a Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial, yet the background music to the commercial is "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynard Skynard? Kentucky? Alabama? At the risk of sounding like Jerry Seinfeld, why don't they just call it Alabama Fried Chicken. Rating: 4.8/10

8. Burger King commercials. Specifically, the King himself. Is that the freakiest looking thing you've ever seen? Someone with human hands and a plastic face? Looks like something out of a horror movie.

I approve of the new commercials with the women trying to run him over. Funny stuff. I also liked the one where they were promoting "King Kong" and the King was like 50 feet tall. Funny...yet, terrifying.

Oh, and there was the time BK was giving away X-Box games featuring the King. One was "Sneak-King" where the King would sneak around someone's back to give them burgers. He would jump out of a pile of leaves and slink around in the dark. If he did that in my yard, I sneak up behind him, kidnap him, put him in my basement, and torture him by feeding him foods from Wendy's, McDonald's, Subway, you name it. No other way to beat the King other than feeding him the competition. Mmmmm...competition. :drool: Rating: 3/10 (higher if funnier, but the King is...odd. Minus points for you, King.)
