Trio of Kingdom Hearts Titles Detailed

More news about the 3 KH games :3

Some new tidbits regarding the trio of Kingdom Hearts games announced at Tokyo Game Show last week have appeared in Japanese magazines. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for DS will let players assume control over Roxas and tell his story until his split from Organization XIII. The multi-player mode supporting up to four characters will not be related to the game's main story mode.

The cellphone-based Kingdom Hearts Coded will be an RPG. Its story will take place after the events of Kingdom Hearts II and apparently center around deleting a bug inside a computer system.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep for PlayStation Portable will be a prequel to the original Kingdom Hearts. This action RPG will feature three protagonists including Tera and Wen. Square Enix promises to make use of PlayStation Portable's ad-hoc WiFi capabilities. Sadly however, PlayStation Portable users probably will have to wait quite some time until they get their hands on Birth by Sleep. Square Enix has mentioned that it will be the last of the three titles to get released.

Kingdom Hearts Coded, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep have yet to receive official release dates in Japan.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (update)

Everybody have properly seen the secret video hidden in the ending of "Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix", everybody thought it was a trailer for "kh3", well it turns out its the trailer for "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep".

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, revealed at Tokyo Game Show today, is a brand new PSP game that expands the story of the franchise not by looking forward, but by looking back. This prequel stars a character that strongly resembles (but is not) Zack from Final Fantasy VII (and most recently, Crisis Core). In addition, we see a character that appears to be a clone of Roxas -- but that's impossible, considering the massive time difference between Birth by Sleep and the original console games. Certainly, there are a lot of mysteries surrounding this upcoming title.

TGS: Square Enix Announces Trio of Kingdom Hearts Games

At its Tokyo Game Show 2007 booth, Square Enix showed off not one, but three new Kingdom Hearts projects: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep for PlayStation Portable, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for DS, and Kingdom Hearts Coded for mobile phones.

The trailer for the cellphone-based title begins with Jiminy Cricket reporting to King Mickey about a strange sentence he discovered in the Jiminy Memo. The text reads: "For their wounds to heal they have to return." Upon hearing Jiminy's story, Mickey proclaims "only he can solve this problem" and the trailer moves on to Sora on Disney Island. However, this Sora seems to be an existence created by computer data. Next are gameplay elements with Sora fighting off Heartless and solving puzzles.

The game features a so-called "Debugging Mode", which allows Sora to move at high speed. The last scene then shows Sora appearing in Traverse Town, like he did in the beginning of Kingdom Hearts. However, in the new game King Mickey is also in Traverse Town at that time. He tells Sora: "I was here at that day, too. Let's talk about the truth."

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will allow players to control various members of Organization XIII, such as Roxas, Xigbar, Saix and Axel. A multiplayer component apparently will be included as well. During the trailer shown at Square Enix booth, Axel and Roxas sit together on the clock tower of Twilight Town. The next scene shows Roxas being introduced as the newest member of Organization XIII. After some battle footage, Xemnas is shown introducing the 14th member to Organization XIII, a young girl whose face is hidden by the black cloak she is wearing. At the end of the trailer, Roxas is talking about how he will vanish from this world in 151 days.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep was apparently the title depicted in the secret trailer of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. As the Tokyo Game Show trailer of the PlayStation Portable title begins, the words "a distant past" and "Sleep produces a hidden fate" are shown on screen. Next is a scene taking place in Hollow Bastion-like level, where a supposedly new character with black hair and a boy with a face reminiscent of Roxas', but with a different outfit, are having a conversation. The former is referring to the latter as Wen.

The next scene shows the black-haired young man confront an old man. This old man who appeared in the aforementioned secret trailer is called Master Xehanort. He calls his young opponent Tera, who summons a Keyblade. Since the effect is similar to the scenes in the hidden Final Mix trailer, Famitsuu's editor wonders whether Tera might have been one of the armor-wearing characters shown in said trailer.

Master Xehanort and Tera meet again in the next scene, this time in the Olympic Colloseum. Other scenes show a stage based on Sleeping Beauty, and Tera fighting another character that had previously appeared in the secret trailer. He is wearing biker clothes and a helmet.

The mysterious man proves to be too strong for Tera and he eventually breaks down. The scene then shifts to Tera on the coast of an island and shows two characters reminiscent of Sora and Riku. Afterwards, Wen is talking to somebody, saying "I'm asking this favor of you, because we are friends. Please make me disappear."

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and Kingdom Hearts Coded have yet to receive official release dates.

Princess Soft Brings StarTRain to PS2

Princess Soft announced plans to bring StarTRain to PlayStation 2. This love adventure was originally developed by mixed-up and released for the PC platform on September 22nd 2006. The game's protagonist is Tsukasa Motoki, a high school student with bad grades. Apart from this poor performance, Tsukasa is also suffering from a break-up with his girlfriend. Luckily for him, he is surrounded by the five following heroines:

Nanami Hata is a mysterious girl, who ends up living with the protagonist. She calls herself a traveler, and does not go to school.

Enbi Kanade is a childhood friend and cla$$mate of Tsukasa. She has a tomboyish character. Originally she used to be good friends with the protagonist, but recently she is trying hard to avoid him.

Nami Aida is another childhood friend of the protagonist. The elite student is Tsukasa's senior and often helps him with his homework. While the two are not related, Nami is like an older sister to Tsukasa.

Asuka Yumehara is another cla$$mate of the protagonist. She is always smiling and has excellent grades, but due to her provincial accent, she sometimes speaks odd Japanese.

Yomogi Kanzaki is a good student and very serious, but sometimes her speech and conduct become weird. She is the daughter of a wealthy family.

StarTRain: Your past makes your future for PlayStation 2 will be available in Japan on November 29th. While the game's standard version will retail for 6,800 yen ($57.46 US), the limited edition will cost 7,800 yen ($65.91 US). Contents of the latter have yet to be announced.

Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon Goes Wii

Square Enix has revived the Chocobo no Fushigi na Dungeon (Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon) series after eight years. The company plans to bring Chocobo no Fushigi na Dungeon Toki Wasure no Meikyuu to Wii later this year. The game is produced by Yuuki Yokoyama, who had previously worked on Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon and Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, while Square Enix executive director Shinji Hashimoto is serving as executive producer.

The game's main characters will be treasure hunter Chocobo and Cid. The development team is implementing a Final Fantasy-like job system, where each job offers a unique set of abilities (skills and magic).

The first Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon title became a big hit in Japan following its 1997 release on PlayStation. The following year, Square released a sequel, and in 1999 a WonderSwan Color-based remake of the first game.

Chocobo no Fushigi na Dungeon Toki Wasure no Meikyuu will be available in Japan sometime this winter.

Age Of Conan ~ delayed again

After careful consideration, and analysis of recent feedback from Beta testing of `Age of Conan`,

Funcom and Eidos have concluded that more development time is required to reduce the entry barrier to `Age of Conan` and make the game even more accessible during the first hours of playtime.

The new release date is set to the 25th of March
2008.

The Company Management regrets the delay in the launch date, but believes the extended development time will increase the financial upside of the game and is therefore the correct decision.
