Going Through

I'm sorry for being hidden in the last couple of weeks, it's simply that I'm going through not-so-good time. All is fine about my health and such, but the general feeling, plus tons of work, and limited hours on the computer, reduced me only to being able to read your comments and stalk from here to there. Most of the time TV.com didn't even let me comment.

Things are somewhat "getting better", but I still won't be here much.

Monster, Jo, BB, Helen, I'm happy you are all caring for me. Here I am. Don't be worried

What About Love? [Music Special Blog]

This time only YouTube videos, for the sake of music, and for the enjoyment of me, of Monster and of all of us

1. Take That | Shine

Straight from the deepest of the 90s, Take That returned this year with a new album, a fresh songs and an old sty'le. This sty'le, though, still works perfectly on our ears. This clip also has a nice aspect of the song. So come on, don't be late, oh, and don't forget to see the light on your face, let it shine! SHINE!

2. Rent | Seasons of Love

I haven't seen the movie (though I wanted to), but this song, the official soundtrack of Rent, just caught my ear and never let go. This clip is featured from the movie and is so sweet. 525,600 minutes, how do you measure, a year in the life? How about LOVE? How about LOOOOVE?

3. Ifty | The Night Will Pass

Ifty does both rapping and singing, and in this debut single he has done a wonderful job. At first I didn't like this song, but after second hearing it just came to my heart... So why crying, we can always try, wipe away the tears, I'm here...

Here ends the 2nd Music Special Blog of Afenla, See Y'all Later!

It Snowed, It Snowed, It Snowed!

The storm is finally over, but it was so dam good, I have to share some of it with y'all. But let's start with some pics from our lovely lil snowed country...

Gush Etzion, a mountain near Jerusalen

It all started on Tuesday morning. Though the forecast said it's gonna start only in the night, weather wanted otherwise. It was raining for most of the day, and I was lucky to take a small umbrella in my bag.
Wednesday was a totally different story. It wasn't raining here for most of the day, but the winds were tough. Evening brought rain, and with it, hail. The night between Wednesday and Thursday was crazy. I got up at least 4 times during the night, just from the noise the rain, the hail and the winds did. It was feaking CRAZY!
Then it started snowing in the north, the Hermon mountain, Ramat Hagolan and even souther.
Thursday morning brought the snow to Jerusalem, but a snow mixed with rain that couldn't get a hold on the ground...

Mixed snow and rain in Jerusalem

But where I live, a city closer to the center of the country, and pretty lower than the mountains, it was raining and hailing all day. When there were thunders mixed with it, it seemed like General Winter was pretty angry this time

Ramat Hagolan, Israel's northest and highest places

It kept like that on and off for the whole day and on Friday. Of course, most of the time it wasn't hiliang, but still, it was fun. Kids didn't go to scholl where it was snowed (in Jerusalem they did, though)
Saturday (today) brought the sign of the calming. Here wasn't raining at all, but it was still storming in some places.
Dam, I like this weather!

Summary: Snow where it is needed, hail and thunders storms, and a lot of rain Yay!

This image has nothing to do with snow, and/or rain, and/or hail, and/or TV.com, and/or any idealist idea of conquering the world. It's just here to sign the moving on for a different story.

On a different story, I reached level 37!

It seems like I've been 36 forever (and a day, to be exact).

I also have a new avatar, since yesterday I encountered this beautiful Anastacia pic, and I couldn't stand it

A Ha - Crying In The Rain

Not so exact, since I'm so happy when it's raining, but still suits perfect the rain and the thunders. Here's a lil piece of nostalgic hostory, with A-Ha and their black-n-white clip. Enjoy

A-Ha, they didn't invent anything, and/or something, and/or someone, and/or anyone, but they're good

It's not gonna rain for the rest of the week

Much Love and *hugs*,

Oh Creepy Cloud, Oh Scary Thunder

Hi there nice people!

I'm not related to this pic in any way,
and/or any method, and/or any logical explanation

Seems like General Winter is back into business around here... It was hazy yesterday and on Sunday (I hate haze), and today it started raining (when they said it'll start raining only tonight). Anyhoo, they expect it to rain for then next 4 days, and it might even snow in Jerusalem tomorrow night!
I will keep you posted!

This arrow doesn't point left, and/or up, and/or down, and/or east, and/or to the direction of Bin Laden's hiding place. It only points right...

It's tough to get back to normal after Drea's sudden death on Friday... I still read related blogs here and there, and the site's blog still has her memorial, and it's hard to move on. I mean, you know time heals and all that stuff, but you're just afraid to move on there... It's not like it used to be from now on.

The And/Or theory is making a comeback in this blog and will be active for long now

Meatloaf & Marion Raven | It's All Coming Back To Me Now

Pretty sad song by this two excellent singers, but a fairly wonderful version. Meatloaf is a great clasic-rock singer and Marion has a great voice.
Suits the half-half moods in my blog...

Much Love and *hugs*,

I Still Remember

I still remember the first blog of Drea that I've read. She was all excited about a problem with her Internet, and how disappointed she was for not being able to get on to this site. It took a while to get to know her, but the first thing you learn about her is the way she liked to write: Slang.
Or, in Drea's words, Slangzta.

Drea was the creator or the Gangzta language on here. She wasn't just the any woman you get to know. She was a family woman, full of love for her husband (hubby), her kids, and her friends. Even Ang can be considered half-family for her, after understanding the way they met.

I made her a banner. Not once, twice. She liked the way I designed stuff. It was Tight, as she used to say.

I loved to read her comments in my blogs. She used to refer to me as Gangzta Brutha, and I replied with Gangzta Sista. Every comment of Drea, especially in her peak months, was not just a comment, it was a complete celebration. She was the director of her own comments. And I was jealous of her writings...

I once had a column where I used to "forecast" how others will comment to the blog. That's what I wrote for Drea, of course, in her own true language:

hoffman9102: HOLA lil Gangzta! I hada slizza wonderz bout wat YA were up to, Mi AMIGO! Here Ima rollin', takin da COMMENT to a betta level o WIZdom, befo anyone coulda ask! Lay Chilly, coz itz all GOOOOOOD and tight!

If that doesn't sum up her personality, I can not realize what can. She was pure joy, happiness and warm-hearted.

I haven't been talking to her much recently, but I was indeed affected by this woman. Positively. And for all that, I wanna thank ya, Gangzta-Sista, and tho ya willn't be reedin' thiz blog, I wanna make it fo-sho clear that itz all dedicated to ya, aight? Coz ya hada dat lite, like no one else. Lay Chill,

Goodbye

Blackmore's Night Rock/Pop
"Super hot"
Blackmore's night is not a covention. Most of the people you would come across asking them whether they know Blackmore's Night specific song, they would answer No. Because they truly don't know Blackmore's Night. And that's a shame that such a wonderful band is not a world superstar.

Best song: "Wish You Were Here". No doubt. It is the best song ever. It is a cover, but who cares, their version is much better. They even covered Bob Dylan's song, "The Times They Are A Changin' ", and it came out just excellent!

Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple's legendary guitarist), and his fiancee, Candice Night, have formed one of the best bands there is. They styles range from Rock, World Music, Pop and Alternative, and every song is a piece of art. Worth it.

Delta Goodrem Rock/Pop
"Legend"
Delta has the unique magic that attach you straight to her songs, leaving you breathless with no ability to express yourself any further. It is the magic of her voice, mixed up with pure music, and lyrics that come directly from her life, her heart.

To me, Delta is the number one. In her own style, and also in the whole music scene. To me, she invented a new music style I didn't know before: Music from the soul. The true soul-some music.

Her first album, innocent eyes, was one of its kind. A piece of art. Every song could be a hit if released.
Her second album was even greater, though it is believed that there is no greater than the greatest. It was darker - since it came straight after her cancer illness, which affected her life. But she came over it, and made it big back to the music.

I simply adore Delta. I wish she would never stop making that beautiful music.
