Ye Old College Inn Blueberry Pie recipe
3 cups blueberries and juice
2/3 cup granulated sugar
4 level tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons butter
Dash of salt
3 1/2 teaspoons wine vinegar
Drain juice from 3 cups blueberries. Bring juice to quick boil, then add 2/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, butter, dash of salt and vinegar. Cook until slightly thickened. Cool.
Add berries and pour into 9-inch baked pie shell.
Topping:
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine sour cream, 2 tablespoons sugar and vanilla extract. Spread evenly over berries and bake in 250 degree F oven for 10 minutes. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

I finally went for my MRI. I had a bit of trouble. I fell earlier and was on the floor till Dave got home. Nothing really hurt but my pride. Just sore. I'll live. The Dr. wants to put me in a nursing home to live… I don't want to go.

Legal Seafood Coleslaw recipe
5 cups shredded green cabbage
3 cups shredded red cabbage
1 medium onion, peeled and shredded
1 1/2 cups shredded carrots
1 to 1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
3/4 cup sour cream, or 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup yogurt
Salt
Pour boiling water over the green cabbage and let sit for 5 minutes. Drain and press dry. Toss with the red cabbage, onion and carrots. Add the mayonnaise and sour cream. Add salt to taste.

Casa Olé Chili con Queso recipe
5 pounds American cheese, grated 3 1/4 cups (26 ounces) water, divided 1 1/2 cups chopped onion (see note) 1 cup each chopped celery and green bell pepper (see note) 1/4 cup finely chopped jalapeño (see note)
Combine cheese and 3 cups water in the top of a double boiler and bring to a boil. Stir every 5 minutes. While cheese is melting, combine onion, celery, bell pepper and jalapeño in saucepan and add 1/4 cup water. Sauté over medium heat until vegetables come to a light boil.
When cheese has melted and is smooth, add vegetables and mix thoroughly. Simmer 5 minutes. This makes a large amount; recipe could be cut in half or thirds.
NOTE: Amounts are approximate. The file recipe calls for 13 ounces chopped onion, 9 ounces chopped celery, 10 ounces chopped bell pepper and 1 3/4 ounces chopped jalapeños.

Angelina's Zydeco Creole Jambalaya recipe 1/2 pound smoked sausage, cut 1/2 pound ham, diced 1 cup onion, chopped 1 cup bell pepper, chopped 1 cup celery, chopped 1 cup green onions, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce 1 can whole tomatoes, drained (reserve liquid) Pinch thyme 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon salt 3 cups Uncle Ben's Converted Rice 1 1/2 cups stock water 2 pounds fresh shrimp, deveined Place sausage and ham in very heavy Dutch oven and sauté until lightly browned. Remove from pot and set aside. Sauté onions, bell pepper, celery, green onions and add meat drippings. Cook until tender. Add tomatoes, thyme, pepper and salt. Cook for five minutes. Stir in rice. Mix together liquid from tomatoes, stock and Worcestershire sauce equal to 2 cups and add to sautéed vegetables. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and add fresh shrimp, ham and sausage. Cook uncovered, stirring often for about 30 minutes or until rice and shrimp are done.
Sharpton Arrested Leading NYC Protest The Rev. Al Sharpton has been arrested by New York City police as he led demonstrators at the Brooklyn Bridge in a march protesting the acquittal of three officers in the 50-bullet shooting of Sean Bell. Sharpton, two survivors of the shooting and the slain man's fiancée were arrested. Sharpton is seeking a federal civil rights investigation into Bell's 2006 shooting. Bell was killed in a hail of 50 police bullets outside a Queens strip club that was under investigation for prostitution. The officers charged in the slaying were acquitted in state court April 25. Demonstrators were gathering at six locations, including outside police headquarters and the entrances to the Brooklyn and Triborough bridges and the Holland Tunnel. Sharpton said some marchers planned to kneel in prayer and risk arrest. Bell's fiancé said after the verdict was read April 25 that "the justice system let me down." "April 25, 2008: They killed Sean all over again," Nicole Paultre Bell told a crowd at the headquarters of Sharpton's National Action Network. "That's what it felt like to us." The verdict elicited gasps as well as tears of joy and sorrow. Detective Michael Oliver, who fired 31 of the shots, wept at the defense table, while Bell's mother cried in the packed courtroom. Shouts of "Murderers! Murderers!" and "KKK!" rang out outside the courthouse. Sharpton lambasted the judge who acquitted the detectives. "If people are on the public payroll, doing their public duty, they should be required to face a public jury," Sharpton said. The officers had opted to have the judge instead of a jury decide the case. Sharpton later promised to "shut the city down" with organized civil disobedience. "Shut it down! Shut it down!" supporters chanted.

The Boulders Deceivingly Decadent Warm Chocolate Brownie Cake recipe
3/4 cup pastry or cake flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
3 large egg whites
1 large egg
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 ounce semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon skim milk
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray an 8-inch square cake pan with cooking spray and dust lightly with flour. In a medium bowl, sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder. In another bowl, combine the butter and sugar. Beat in the egg whites, egg, yogurt and vanilla extract. Gradually beat in the flour mixture until incorporated. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan.
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate in the milk in a microwave or over a saucepan in barely simmering water. Let cool slightly. Invert the cake onto a platter and spread with the melted chocolate.
Man Arrested, Accused Of Stuffing Mother Of 3 In Trunk
Woman May Be Paralyzed
LAGRANGE, Ohio -- A mother of three attacked and left for dead on Tuesday is recovering at Metro Health Medical Center on Wednesday. Matthew Plas, 25, is accused of attacking the woman as she took her daily walk. He was arrested after a short chase and is in jail, NewsChannel5 reported. Police said the assault happened just after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the equestrian center in the Metro parks' Carlisle Reservation in Lorain County. The 43-year-old woman told police a man shot her in the back and put her in the trunk of his car and drove off. He later dumped her a couple of miles away. Authorities said some witnesses saw the woman hanging out of the trunk and called 911. "I got around the other side of them cars and I seen a body laying there, a woman," resident Mike Edwards said. He said she was weak but awake when he found her. Investigators are trying to figure out if the woman was sexually assaulted. "He has provided some detail and it does not appear that they have any type of relationship, that they knew each other, whether they were boyfriend-girlfriend so we're trying to see exactly how they crossed paths," said Capt. Richard Resendez with the Lorain County Sheriff's Department. The woman's husband said his wife does not know her attacker. Investigators said Plas is married but homeless. He has been arrested before for domestic violence and assault, officials said. The doctors think the 43-year-old woman will recover. However, her husband told NewsChannel5 that she may be paralyzed.
