SVU My not be on my favorites list much longer

Is it my imagination or is SVU going down hill? They refuse to use the talent they've got and go out and get this new guy Adam Beach. I guess as a Native American I should be thrilled he will be a part of the cast but frankly his performance left me flat. I didn't perceive any chemistry between him and Ice-T and the flirting between his character and Diane Neal's oh please Was that an audition for the High School play or Community theatre or what? I can see them setting up a romance for Casey Novak because when Diane Neal announces that she and her husband are expecting, it will be easier to say her character is pregnant than to write around her character as they did with Mariska Hargitay's.

The writing is on the wall that Belzer is on the way out, first they'll chain Munch o a desk and then they will force him to retire. What a waste! Too bad the SVU writers never watched Homicide Life on the Streets.

Speaking of which, I know people feel that Law & Order CI is becoming a clone of CSI because of the music and the difference in directorial style, but as someone who has only watched one or two CSI episodes (I can't stomach the idea of Forensic Technicians doing a detectives job - I teach at a school with one of the few certified programs for Undergraduate Criminalistics - believe me, detectives don't do the lab techs job and vice versa) I don't see CSI, I see Homicide Life on the Streets and since Homicide is older than CSI, CSI must have been ripping Homicide off.

And back to Law & Order CI, just what is with NBC's scheduling, rerun after rerun, aren't they making new episodes? And didn't someone (The great D'Onofrio himself I do believe) say that Goren and Eames would be getting closer this season? Do they seem closer to you?

Speculation requires a score card for L & O franchise

There's a site Showfax.com (look for New York Episodic) that list the Law & Order Franchise regular cast members that they were looking for and it included 2 ADAs, a police captain, and 3 detectives. So asuming the the police captain is to replace Jamey Sheridan (Jimmy Deakins on CI), one of the ADAs was to replace Annie Parisse (Alexandria Borgia on L & O), one of the detectives is to replace Dennis Farina (Joe Fontana on L & O), and another is to replace Annabella Sciorra (Carolyn Beck on CI) who is the other ADA replacing and who is the other detective replacing?

The 3 detectives were described as black female, brown female and brown male, now NBC has announced the gal who's replacing Farina, Milena Govich who used to be on Conviction and the person replacing Annie Parisse is Alana De La Graza, she's half Mexican, so I guess she counts as brown female for L & O (though she's not a detective)

Now as far as I've heard SVU is like the only place not seeing much of a shake up except the temp replacement for Mariska, so I quess one of the two remaining detectives would go over to CI, but what about the other detective and is Diane Neal quitting or could the ADA really be an EADA?

I'm figuring maybe Courtney B Vance on CI is leaving but wow is that a major shake up then that would explain the push both Sheridan and Vance got for Emmy nominations this seasons, sort of going away presents. Both of them live in LA and commute to NYC and Vance and his wife Angela Bassett recently had twins via a surrogate so maybe he'd rather stay in LA.

Milena Govich replacing Dennis Farina?

Seems weird, like Wolf's saying Conviction didn't happen, it's not a part of the L & O universe
