A book a week
Starting this Monday my goal, no my task, is going to be to read one book a week every week. For an overall total of lets say 50 books a year for simple math and gives us a two week break. Now my goal is to read 500 SF books. Sooo I've got at least 10 years to go before I hit that mark -_- Which makes F the 30 year old SF something >_> I'm going to be keeping track of what books I read when starting Monday when I start the next book.

What's on your Christmas tree

*Walks back onto the stage* Yep another article from another magazine. Since Christmas is next Friday this is the best time to share such a thing. This did come from a woman's magazine, but its not like men don't have Christmas trees too.

If your tree is decorated with...A single theme, such as snowflakesor Santa Collectible you've amassed over the years. Ornaments that match other decorations around your home. You're an Explorer: Wanderlust may be your middle name. How to explain your tree's well-thought-out-theme? It reflects your foresight, a quality that comes in handy during your travels after all, anticipating bumps in the road is the best way to dodge them! Truth is, despite your travels, you're a homebody at heart: Soaking up all the world has to offer helps you appreciate your everyday world all the more!

SnowflakeSanta

If your tree is decorated with...White lights, Ornaments of roughly the same size, a hint of tinsel. You're a disciplined go-getter! You approach tasks with amazing focus and refuse t be undistracted until every detail falls into place. In fact, your light decorating touch shows an unpretentious aesthetic that's further proof of how disiplined you are: For you, anything excessive, such as over-the-top baubles only gets in the way. No wonder your tree is just about as tasteful as nature intended!

Silver and blue tinselornaments

If your tree is decorated with...Heirloom or tradional family ornaments, baubles your kids picked out, photos of loved ones. You're a compassionate confidante! Your warmth and good judgement have everyone looking to you for advice. What's more, they know that they can count on your words to be even-handed: Rather than reflect one aesthetic, your tree shows off the tastes and experience of your whole family, revealing an open-mindedness that makes you the wisest of confidantes.

baubles

If your tree is decorated with...multicolored or blinking lights, cartoon inspired or humorous oranaments, a unique scene-stealing tree-topper. You're a creative whiz! An imaginative and quick-witted, you delight friends with you humor and cleaver ideas. You have creativity oozing out of every pore and are always expressing it: Just look at your tree! That's why you're the go-to-person for out-of-the-box ideas and swift solutions to nagging problems.

Snowmanthe naughty kid

If your tree is decorated with...Garlands galore, strings of popcorn or cookies, faux snow or glitter you spray on. You're am ultra-flexible dynamo! Not one to be slowed down by obstacles large or small, your adaptability keeps you moving foreward. The whimsical popcorn and cookie ornaments that give your tree its character are a nod to the kid inside part of the duality that makes you the flexible thinker you are. Able to change your plans on a dime and tap into your childlike enthusiasm, you can get anything done in a flash!

string of popcorn

Well I hope that those of you who celebrate Christmas have a merry one, or Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa, Chanukkah.

Binks' Sake (Brooks and the Rumbar Pirates farewell song to Laboon)

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Going to deliver Binks' sake

Following the sea breeze, riding on the waves

Far across the salty deeps, the merry evening sun

Painting circles in the sky, birds singing along

Farewell to the harbour, to my old hometown

Let's all sing with a DON, as the ship sets sail

Waves of gold and silver dissolve to salty spray

As we all set sail to the ends of the sea

Going to deliver Binks' sake

We are pirates, slicing through the seas

The waves our pillows, the ship our roost

Flying the proud skull on our flags and sails

Now comes a storm through the far-off sky

Now the waves are dancing, beat upon the drums

If you lose your nerve, this breath could be your last

But if you just hold on, the morning sun will rise

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Going to deliver Binks' sake

Today and tomorrow, our dreams through the night

Waving our goodbyes, we'll never meet again

But don't look so down; for at night the moon will rise

Going to deliver Binks' sake

Let's all sing out with a DON, a song of the waves

Doesn't matter who you are, someday you'll just be bones

Never-ending, ever-wandering, our funny traveling tale

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Yohohoho, yohohoho

Queens Of The Stone Age

CHERISH YESTERDAY - LIVE TODAY - DREAM TOMORROW

Queens Of The Stone Age - Little Sister

Hey internet it's saturday the 7th of november.

Hey hows it going, first term of school just ended. This how i think i did

Spanish - A
History - B or C
English - A
Math - D
Science - C
Study - No grade
Study - No grade

I get two new clas.ss third term to replace those studies. Foreign languages have always been a problem for me. After taking french for two-three years i jumped ship and switched to spanish. I am understanding it better. I am better at reading it then speaking or hearing it. I did bad on one big test for history, which totally sunk my grade. I can live with a b or c. The teacher and i hate each other for english, but since the cla.ss has such low expectations it's difficult to fail. I failed two tests for math which killed my grade with no resurrections. Physics has been killing, like trig, it's difficult to handle all the math solutions. I didnt do well in Bio or Chem so this year shouldnt be different.

A while ago i told you of this math project i had to do. You create work problems while using law of sines and cosines. I failed the project because i forgot to show the problem worked out in words. The teacher however really liked it and said the only problem was there was no solutions. So i thought i would show you the problems here

1. Grandma Lee is a 92 year old grandmother of 23. She was tricked by her 8 children into living in a nursing home. One day they blind folder her and told her she was going on a cruise. Sometime later she found out she was in an old person's home. Grandma Lee enlisted her good friend, Beatrice G. Snow into breaking her out. The plan was for Beatrice to throw a rope up to Grandma Lee's room on the top floor of the nursing home. The nursing home is 100 feet tall and leans at an angle of 88 degrees. She will attach the rope to the window and shimmy down the rope. She will shimmy on a glider she made out of toilet paper and tooth paste. She will go down at an angle of 40 degrees and land in Beatrice's getaway care, which is located outside the nursing home. After she escaped they will head to Vegas and open a casino with fixed slot machines and overcharged hotel accommodations. How far does Grandma Lee have to travel if the distance between the building and the car is 50ft?

There is three more problems that i will show you later. SNL is on soon with host and musical guest Taylor Swift. Lets see how she does. Before i go to solve the problem above you use the law of sines for sides.

GOODNIGHT AND HAVE A PLEASANT TOMORROW

An update to my previous entry.

Well UFC 104 has come and gone, I watched the entire event and I have to say, Im dissapointed. Not only was the main event boring but it ended in controversy and a man was robbed of his glory. Bad judging ruined a man's life long dream. See the latest in this development.

Twitter & It's That Time of the Year...Again.

I recently got myself involved in the whole twitter thing and I must say that it's more awesome than I thought it would be. It's fun to follow all the things I like on twitter and tweeting my thoughts on their updates, etc. I honestly thought Twitter was a waste of time but it's a great way to express yourself and actually think out loud if you will. There is a downside though, spammers run wild and it's not fun have to have them follow you just for you to block them. It amazes me though how they post over 200 tweets in like one day and most of them are just re-tweets they saw on the timeline and just felt like tweeting them again. You know they are a spammer when they are following like 500+ people but only under 50 people are following them.

It's been fun being off from school but now it has rolled right back around so it's time to go back. I'm one of those people who is overjoyed once I'm out of school on vacation but in the latter parts of the vacation I start to want to actually go back. That's how my summer went this year. How was your summer vacation if you ever took or had any?

I'm hyped for my last year of high school as being a senior is going to be a blast. Cla$$ of 2010, woot!

My of the Day. Can You Guess Who Does It?

Blades of Glory

I’m a lone wolf in a cage
Lost my partner to a lie
Like a bird with broken wings, yeah
It’s impossible to fly
I tried to live for two
But only trust in one
Is there nothing that we can do?
Are we truly done?
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Could this be the end
of our mythic story?
I don’t know what to say
I don’t know where to turn
All I know is if I stay
Ooh this ice it sure can burn
A man who’s scared of truth
Can only trust in lies
A boy who’s scared to dream
Can never touch the sky, oh yeah
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Today is the first chapter
Of our mythic story
We’ll never part
On these blades of glory
And we’ll cross our hearts
On these blades of glory
What do you say
Tonight we celebrate
By going out our way, yeah
O-oo-oh, let’s go all the way, yeah
It’s our calling
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Blades of glory
We’ll go all night
‘Til we finish the story
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
The dream is alive
And we’ll never be sorry
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory

Or

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
My mother always told me be careful who you love
Be careful what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth, yeah

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

For forty days and for forty nights the law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand, her schemes and her plans
'cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice
Just remember to always think twice
Do think twice

She told my baby we danced 'til three And she looked at me, and showed me a photo
My baby cried, his eyes where like mine
Can we dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don’t go around breaking young girls’ hearts
But she came and stood right by me
Just to smell her sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
Not my son

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid's not my son
Not my son

A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender, "If I show you a really good trick, will you give me a free drink?" The bartender considers it, then agrees. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues.

After the man finished his drink, he asked the bartender, "If I show you an even better trick, will you give me free drinks for the rest of the evening?" The bartender agrees, thinking that no trick could possibly be better than the first. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues. The man reaches into another pocket and pulls out a small bullfrog, who begins to sing along with the rat's music.

While the man is enjoying his beverages, a stranger confronts him and offers him $100,000.00 for the bullfrog. "Sorry," the man replies, "he's not for sale." The stranger increases the offer to $250,000.00 cash up front. "No," he insists, "he's not for sale." The stranger again increases the offer, this time to $500,000.00 cash. The man finally agrees, and turns the frog over to the stranger in exchange for the money.

"Are you insane?" the bartender demanded. "That frog could have been worth millions to you, and you let him go for a mere $500,000!" "Don't worry about it." the man answered. "The frog was really nothing special. You see, the rat's a ventriloquist."

Curse of the Tails Doll: A Short Story

Has anyone here heard of the Tails Doll curse? There was a game called Sonic R and one of the characters was a creepy doll version of Tails. Some people think that under certain circumstances, you could summon the doll in real life. Of course, its not true, but what if it was? This is a short story about such an event.

Curse of the Tails Doll

by Merhimek

In 1996, a game was in development for the Sega Saturn and PC. Wanting to try something new, Sonic Team and Traveller's Tales joined together to create a racing game based on the the blue hedgehog and several other prominent characters in the series.

After a few months of development, the game was nearing completion. All that was left was to finish testing the game for bugs. At last, a few days later, the game was ready for release. However, on the night before the game was to be sent off for production, it is believed that a disgruntled employee, half-driven to madness after hearing a particular song in the game countless times, made his move.

Around 1:30 A.M., the employee broke into the room where the master copy of the Sonic R game was kept. He picked up the now-completed game and stared at it for what seemed like an hour. The individual began speaking in a bizzare fashion, almost as if he were chanting. Then he began to yell phrases such as "Won't you be my friend? Well, won't you?" Nobody else was believed to be in the building, so he could very well have been talking to himself.

The next morning was business as usual, except when the storage room was opened, the disgruntled employee was found on the floor, apparently dead. Several other employees ran to his side. Suddenly, the man stood up, and stumbled out of the room, but not before turning his head and saying, "I made a new friend." His eyes were glazed over and he had no expression. He also appeared rather pale.

Shrugging it off, the employees took the game to the copy room. Soon people the world over would be playing Sonic R...

1997, the year Sonic R was released on the Sega Saturn. The game enjoyed a fair number of sales, although the number was still slightly dissapointing. Amoung the people who purchased the game was the well known video game designer and producer, Shigeru Miyamoto. He placed the Sonic R game into his console, and after playing it for a while, he thought it was quite fun, and wondered how he could unlock the other characters. He found out that by collecting all the tokens hidden in each stage, a new character would challenge him. The first up, was a robotic looking Tails plush.

"Well, this is an interesting character", he thought.

He managed to be the Tails character and proceeded to unlock all the characters, including Super Sonic. Having unlocked all the characters and stages, Miyamoto smiled and turned off his Sega Saturn.

"Not bad, not bad at all", he said, in Japanese.

He went to bed shortly afterwards. Several hours went by, and suddenly Miyamoto awoke with a jolt. He sat up and looked around his room, sweat beads on his forehead. The room was pitch dark, but a red light was seeping into the room. He got up and made his way to his living room. Miyamoto looked around, then brought his attention to the television. There,on the black screen, was the reflection of a figure. Somone was sitting on the couch behind him! He whipped around but saw nothing. Breathing heavily, Miyamoto slowly headed back to his room. On the way, something tapped him on the shoulder. He let out a yell and turned around. There, floating in midair, a gem on its head glowing, was the Tails Doll from the game! Shigeru Miyamoto, frightened though he was, made a fist and tried the punch the doll. He succeeded and Tails swung to and fro on the string to which he was attached. Miyamoto darted past the Tails doll and made a run for the front door. Before he could reach it however, Tails descended fom the ceiling and was blocking his path.

"Don't you wanna play?", said the Tails doll in a childish tone that somehow made it appear even more bizzare and frightening.

In a shaky voice, Miyamoto managed to say "Leave, now!"

The menacing doll simply stared at him and said "Aw, thats too bad."

Miyamoto could see that Tails was hiding something behind his back. What was it?

He watched as the doll brought his arm forward. Tails slowly opened his hand and it was now clear that he was

holding a disc-the Sonic R game.

"Don't you wanna play?", asked Tails.

Shigeru Miyamoto knocked the game out of the Tails doll's hand.

"That wasn't very nice", stated the doll.

"Get out of my house!", said Miyamoto.

The gem on the doll's head lit even brighter as it lunged toward the game designer.

Miyamoto moved out of the way just in time to avoid the attack.

"Looks like I'll have to take your soul", said Tails Doll.

Before Miyamoto could respond, the doll began moving widely, and dance like it had gone insane. In an instant, Miyaoto was bound the the doll's strings, and the gem began to glow brighter than before.

"Stop!", Miyamoto stated. "What do you want?"

The light faded and the doll looked attentively at him.

"Play the game", said the Tail's puppet.

"Why?", inquired Miyamoto.

The doll stayed silent.

"Wait a minute", thought Miyamoto, "This creature came from the game. Perhaps I can seal him inside the dic once more".

"Alright, I'll play", said Miyamoto, trying to sound like all hope was lost.

He walked over to the Sega Saturn and booted up the game.

"I'm pretty fast", said the Tails doll, hanging from the ceiling beside Miyamoto. "Why, I bet I could even beat Sonic in a race", he added.

"Sonic!", thought Miyamoto. "No, Super Sonic! If I can beat the Tails Doll in the game, maybe he'll be 'beaten' in real life as well!"

"You seem awfully confident, think you're gonna win?", said the doll. Then, as if by magic, a second controller appeared, and the Tails doll was ready to race.

"Tell you what", continued the doll, "If you can beat me in a race, I'll go away". "But if you loose, I take your soul". "Sound good, right?"

"Looks like I don't have much of a choice", thought Miyamoto. "Very well", he said, "I'll race you!"

"The stage we play will be...Resort Island!", exclamied the Tails doll.

Tails Doll selected himself in the game as the character he would play, and Miyamoto selected Super Sonic. The race was on!

Their characters selected, the race was ready to begin. The game was loading, and Shigeru Miyamoto thought to himself, "I cannot loose".

The intro music started and the racers were off! The song "Can You Feel the Sunshine" began to play. It was Miyamoto's favorite from the game. Super Sonic dashed forward and for a slight moment, was in the lead. Tails Doll quickly caught up and got ahead of him slightly. Miyamoto had to catch up! Knuckles and the other characters were close behind. Super Sonic made a turn and was toe to toe with the Tails Doll.

"Come on...", thought Miyamoto.

The Tails Doll stepped on a dash panel and zoomed forward, with Super Sonic doing the same. The race was really close. A second dash panel and a loop-de-loop, and the first lap was completed! One of Eggman's Homing Missles was aimed at Super Sonic, but with a quick jump, it was avoided. The Tails Doll was just ahead, if only he was a little faster!

The Tails Doll was moving at a slight angle. Steering his character as straight as he possibly could, Miyamoto managed to catch up to the Tails Doll. The second lap was over, now it was time to race through the final lap! The two racers were neck and neck, who would emerge victorious? The pressure was building. Miyamoto knew he had to win! Being such a fast character, Super Sonic was fairly difficult to control. The first turn came up, and once more, the Tails Doll took the lead. Miyamoto simply smiled. He had a plan. Having collected 20 rings, a shortcut was opened and, dashing through the tunnel, he made a right turn, went around in a loop-de-loop and crossed the finish line in first place! The congratulatory music played, and Super Sonic did a victory pose.

The real Tails Doll was silent. Then, it began to hiss and gave a blood-curdling scream. The screen got dark and an image of the Tails Doll with glowing eyes appeared on the television and a song played in the background. Miyamoto recognized it as "Can You Feel the Sunshine", being played backwards. The Tails Doll on the television began speaking, but it was unitelligible, as its speech appeared to be backwards as well. Then, suddenly, the Tails Doll stuck its hand out of the screen and grabbed the real Tails Doll, taking it into the game world. The televesion went black.

"It's gone!", exclaimed Miyamoto.

The Tails doll had been sealed away. Miyamoto reahced forward to turn off his Sega Saturn, but just before he did, the Tails Doll appeared on the screen again, with tears in its eyes. After a moment, the game shut off.

"I think," began Miyamoto, "the only thing he wanted was a friend."

Eight years passed and Miyamoto still played Sonic R every now and then. When he heard that a game called Sonic Gems Collection would include Sonic R he was quite happy, but he knew that the Tails Doll was still too unpredictable and dangerous. Because of this, he was allowed to place a special seal within the game, preventing people from summoning the Tails Doll. Many theories exist as to how the seal can be broken. Some say that tagging Super Sonic with the Tails Doll in the game releases him. Others say you have to stand in front of a mirror and sing "Can You Feel the Sunshine" backwards. How can the seal be unlocked? Well, I'm not exactly sure. In fact, I'm not even sure that it is such a good idea to try.

Another TV.com Anniversary
It's my tv.com anniversary today. It's hard to believe I've been at this site for 4 years already. It really doesn't seem that long. I was just thinking that this last year has gone by so fast. It seems like it was just last year's anniversary a couple of months ago. I've met so many wonderful people here and made so many friends. I'm glad I'm a part of this site.

Hubby's having surgery on his left foot again on July 13. While the first surgery fixed some things, it didn't fix everything and it created additional problems. He's still in constant pain and can't stay on his feet for any length of time. I guess it's easy for these things to go wrong because he's found that a lot of people have had the same issues after foot surgery that he's having. I really hope this second surgery fixes everything. You just can't do anything when your foot hurts all the time. When you're feet hurt, it's the only thing you can think about.

Work is going well, but I'm so busy there. I'm not complaining because it's better than being bored with nothing to do, but it gets so crazy sometimes. I prefer it to be steady rather than manic. I'm on call this week, but haven't been paged (touch wood). I don't really feel like going out to the plant after hours right now.

I haven't been watching a lot of television lately since just about everything is on hiatus. Torchwood is going to begin airing here on July 20 and I'm looking forward to that.

BBC America also aired the Doctor Who Christmas special on June 27. They'll be airing the rest of the specials instead of SyFy as well. I'm glad. They treat the show a lot better than SyFy did. SyFy cut scenes from every episode to make room for ads. The only time BBCA does that is when they re-air episodes that last an hour or more. They never cut it on the first airing, so we always have at least one chance to see the entire episode.

I'm renting Invasion from Netflix. I didn't see it when it aired and I'm sorry I didn't. It's an excellent show. It's too bad they cancelled it. It turns out that Shaun Cassidy is pretty good at creating stories. At any rate, I have 7 episodes left and I'm looking forward to them. I'm pretty sure it ends with a massive cliff hanger, though.

I've gotten hooked on another show by renting it from Netflix as well. It's called Dexter. Unfortunately, I don't have Showtime so I can't watch this when it airs. The season 3 DVD is going to be released next month, but I won't be able to watch season 4 in September.

It's been dreadfully hot here the last month and we've had only 1 day with any rain. It was only enough rain to wet the surface of the ground as well. The ground is so dry and we can't really water because it just evaporates. The city has even asked people not to water their yards on even number days. The temperature has reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius), but it feels like 110 degrees (43 degrees) with the heat index. I'm sure it's going to get worse because August is the hottest month of the year and it's been like this for the entire month of June. The electric bill is going to be huge. There's just no way to tolerate it without air conditioning. I sure hope we don't get another hurricane. The water is so warm, the thing would become massive fairly quickly.

That's it for me. I hope everyone is having a happy and safe 4th of July.

Summer is Great, New Stuff

Since my last blog, summer has been pretty good! The weather has FINALLY let up and although it's been hot, the sunshine has been a definite improvement since that nonstop rain. I've been watching a little TV and reading Harry Potter. I'm on the third book right now and I'm trying to finish the whole series this summer and still get my English assignment done.

As for my tattoo, I've now debating between two designs for my arm: a butterfly and a fairy. I don't which to choose because one of them might take longer and require me to come back later for more filling. I'm not sure which to choose...if you'd like to see them and give your input, I have the links right here:

Butterfly tattoo: http://tattoodesignspictures.com/where-should-you-get-your-butterfly-tattoo

Fairy tattoo: (For this one, it needs more coloring and I don't want my name with it.) http://tattoo.about.com/library/graphics/091204f.jpg

Who else is looking forward to new TV episodes this summer? The SpongeBob ones sound great and I can't wait for the celebration bash! The FOP ones don't sound great at all, but I might tune in anyway for something to do. I watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 and I thought that would be a great show I could tune in to no matter what, because unlike other shows it doesn't have writers to mess it up and deteriorate show quality. But then, I found out that Jon and Kate are splitting up! Oh no....those poor little kids will have divorced parents and their show won't be the same! I certainly hope they try to sort things out, I mean, they have 8 kids!

On a happier note, this seems like a great summer for movies! I really want to see My Sister's Keeper. I have the book at home and if the movie follows it well, it will be great. The plot is unique and it has a great cast with Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin! I want to see it in theaters sometime soon. Maybe it will be at an outdoor theater with Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. They both look like great films and it would be fun to see them outdoors. I personally like outdoor theaters better because you get to sit or lay under the stars, take your own food and you can make more noise, as opposed to having sit in a tiny chair, buy expensive food, and make no noise at all at indoor theaters.

Last night, I went to this Pasta and Pops All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner and I helped out with the event. It was for the band, and even though I'mnot in it anymore I still went with my parents to help. My former Color Guard captain was there as a food server, and she kept staring at me...for what reason I don't know. I made sure I didn't look at her, and my mother gave her a menacing look and she looked upset! After she took one plate of food somewhere, she didn't come back for anymore and stayed near the drinks and desserts...it was really funny how she let one dirty look that she deserved actually get to her and make her decide to stay away! The real kicker is, she and another girl in my grade were there, and when they finished eating the friend brought her tray of junk to the trash can where I was standing with my mother and Grandma (the captain stayed away, she wouldn't even look at us.) This other girl said they were too little and skinny to eat all their food, then wanted someone else to throw their trash away because she would feel bad if she dropped something, and of course my grandmother and I did it instead of telling her off. But my mother, she is very outspoken and she said "Well, little and skinny girls can throw their own trash away!" I think the girl tried to laugh but it didn't take them long to get out of there after that, and I thought it funny that they were actually afraid of that! They act so proper and dainty, then disrepect adults and get it right back. Honestly, it is because of behavior like that that has caused me to drift away from other girls at my school, the ones in my grade are just to snobby and prissy for me.

Well, that's all that has happened since my last blog...except for Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett dieing! Farrah was expected but not Michael Jackson..may they both rest in peace. How has everyone else's summer been?

And the answer is...
2. Moving to Washington, DC to go to grad school!

I'm rather pleased that several of you were thinking #3. (moving to NY) or #4. (freelance food writing) were in my future though! Maybe once I'm done with grad school ;-)

For those of you who did choose #4, I've actually got a blog in the works at jaxiecracks.blogspot.com where I'm hoping to integrate my food and traveling adventures with my impending graduate studies. There's nothing up yet, but I hope you'll join me there once I build it out!

And finally, one last picture to close out my time here:

Thanks for all your support everyone! Keep on truckin'!

Perhaps just a thought

Whether you're a catholic or an atheist, sometimes you probably wonder, "where did this planet come from?"

Well, science claims that a massive explosion occured from a very small, dense, and hot condition some billion years ago. It is only a theory, but still, a very good one.

Religion says a God, the supreme being of the universe, designed the planet and it's tiny inhabitants.

Now, which to believe?

God Vs. Science, an eternal match that has existed for centuries, and probably for centuries to come, if the world we call "home", is still around by that time.

I, for one, believe in my religion, which is Catholic. I believe, in my own words, that nothing could not have come from nothing.

Am I supposed to believe that:

Nothing + No One = Everything(?)

No. That sounds ludicrous. Some may say that believing in God is ludicrious, but personally, I believe that someone had built this world and it's functions. How can nothing give life and death?

It's impossible

Take, for example, a street light.

It does it's job without anybody operating it...at least, we can't see anyone or anything operating it. However, somewhere, a computer is programming it to turn either red or green. Someone had programmed that computer, and someone had built the street light, and yet, we can see no such thing, it looks like it's functioning on it's own. That's why some atheists believe.

They believe that this universe came from nothing, and it can perfectly build itself all on it's own, giving life from nothingness.

No, there was an archtitect, a builder, a designer.

And when this theory makes sense, people often say, "If God was the designer, who designed God?"

Well, that's the thing! Nobody did! God was always there. He didn't create himself, nor did anyone create him. We want to measure him, questioning his existence, making him something finite. Perhaps his kingdom of heaven was there, but our universe was not.

Remember, God is not human. He is a supreme being, he does not have human needs. He made us limited, we are not perfect. We harm each other, betray each other, and do not give the respect to each other that God originally made us to do. However, God gave us free will, and many of us abuse that free will, and turn it into something evil.

That's where Satan comes in. Satan is the master of all evil, and he manipulates us through the darkness and selfishness that dwells within our souls. He makes the evil look and feel more appealing than the good, and in the end, we discover the true evil of what we have done, but by then, the dark claws of pain and suffering are pulling us deeper and deeper into the void of despair, with us begging and screaming for God's help with the demons laughing and mocking at our torment and anguish...but he does not help, for we put this fate upon ourselves.

However, God has the mercy and patience for us no matter how deep in the vortex we are. His powerful hand will scoop us up and gently put you to the safer location, if you call for him strong enough.

When a satanist, atheist, or any human for that matter, turns to God, there is a celebration in heaven.

This is only my belief and theory. Any human, to me, is free to believe in what they want to. But I believe if you turn to God, he will give you whatever you want. But, you must respect him, just as he respects you, and he will always be with you no matter what. Do not solely pray to him to get what you want, however. He will punish you for your selfishness, and that punishment will be that you receive NOTHING. Love him, and for sure, he will give you gifts. However, he will love you no matter what.

"AND ALL THINGS, WHATSOVER YOU SHALL ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING, YOU SHALL RECEIVE." - St. Matthew 21:22

If you are an atheist, believe in science, for it is a great knowledge, and to discover where life came from is the ultimate goal of science. We humans are designed to learn, and there is no shame in that. Perhaps someday, you may change the world for the good of mankind.

Thanks for reading, and no matter what religious position you stand, I will only say one thing:

God bless you. =)

Weekly anime/manga news (6)
Hey everyone its time for the anime and manga update of the week. Manga section:

Naruto manga chapter 444: Onemanga.com/Naruto

Description: I thought that was a good chapter, I liked how Naruto puposely got hit with the chakra dagger, my guess is because he wanted to connect with Nagato. Also I feel kinda bad for Nagato because the reason his family was killed was because the other Shinobi thought they were enemies. Also I really wanted Naruto to give Nagato a good hit to make him realize what he has done, Naruto's eye design looked awesome to mixing Kyubbi mode with Sage mode. This is actually looking pretty interesting and cant wait for next chapter.

Picture:

Naruto's eyes burn with a fiery Vengance against Nagato, however he is willing to connect with Nagato and is willing to know what pain Nagato expirenced.

Bleach manga 354: Onemanga.com/Bleach

Description: Ichigo sits and thinks about Ulquiorra's last words and he finaly understands what he had meant. Outside the tower Chad, Rukia, and Renji are flustered about how large Yammy is, than Yammy complains and undergoes another transformation and this time his number changes as well as his size. Its finnaly known when in this form hes the 0 Espada. It goes back to the Fake Kaarakura town and it shows Captain Hitsugaya going through a tough time fighting Halibel.
