Happy (Belated) Halloween
Yeah, my blog's actually a day late. So Halloween night was last night. Got kids dressed up in cute and ridiculous costumes, trick-or-treating the night away, getting candy and all that, walking around the neighborhood, having a good time. You know, the usual. My Halloween was eh, mainly because the neighborhood we went trick-or-treating in sucked *ss.
I actually didn't really go trick-or-treating, just supervised my little bro who did. Got him dressed up in a Dracula costume and everything. Anyway, we're trying to survey the neighborhood and see which houses had the most candy. To our disappointment, most of the houses either didn't answer their door or they do not celebrate Halloween. Does that statement surprise you or is this a typical thing in your neighborhood? I was extremely disappointed that our neighborhood didn't really get into the Halloween spirit (or just don't care) and I felt bad for my brother because I wanted him to have fun, only he got a minimal amount of candy as a result. After going through twenty-something houses, I was just like, "f**k it, let's go home." Even though I didn't dress up (I only had a Freddy Kreuger mask), I guess you could say I was pissed about the whole issue. I mean Americans not celebrating Halloween!? Totally absurd. ![]()
So this blog is probably half of a rant, but I can promise you it's over. On to video games and such. Oh yeah, Modern Warfare 2 is coming out in 9 more days. But before that, I think I'm going to get Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier. Should be pretty fun, but the series really deserve to join Ratchet and Sly Cooper in the next-gen era now. My friend is in the process of getting Borderlands, but I'm not really sure when.
I'm still playing Tales of teh Abyss and Dragon Quest VIII and probably review them after I'm done with them. I also got a chance to play Assassin's Creed and Resistance 2 last night in my friend's house as well, so I might review them too. Hopefully everything works out fine. After that, it's back to school work for me. *sigh*...
On a side note, sorry if I missed some of your blogs yesterday. I'll catch up next time
. So how was your Halloween? I bet it was way better than mine. ![]()
Ah, it's been a while...
It's been *gets out calculator* 65 days, 13 hours, and 48 seconds since my last blog. And if you're thinking I actually took the time to calculate everything, think again
It's really been a while, but it's not like I've been gone all this time. I've been posting in some of my unions, though I don't have the time as I used to when summer vacation was around. As I mentioned in my previous blog 2 months ago, College got in the way. I hope some people will actually read this...
So far, my Fitness Class has been going well. My belly is shrinking (Yay!) and I feel a lot stronger than before. Lol but it's not like I can lift heavier things, it's just that I feel more energy when I'm doing daily activities. My cardio can do some work though, as I haven't even done some running for the last 3 years (since I quit wrestling at that time).
College seems to love me so much, it leaves me a pile of sh*t to do. So that's what I've been running into ever since the semester started. For my Biology class, I picked Heart Attack for my research topic. And since I'm taking the class for Honors, instead of 5 pages, I have to write a 10 page paper on it. On top of that, I have to do a Power Point presentation and actually talk in front of the class. Another problem for me is that I'm totally bad at public speaking. Hopefully it works out though. Other than that, the notes, labs, and exams have been pretty cake so far. Oh yeah, I'm done with my rough draft on it, so there you go.
So...English and Psychology 101. Ton of work as well. I have to say, Psychology is actually my easiest class, and I only had to do a 2 page paper for the semester. I might do the extra credit one if I feel like it. Other than that, it's just exam after exam. English, I'm currently working on a research paper. Doing mine on Japanese Animation, and so far it's going great. Hopefully I can get through all the work piled on me.
So that's my school life so far. I haven't had the time to write some reviews, except last night, because I'm getting to the point where most of my work is pretty much past the halfway point. Hopefully I can get through it, because I got some pretty hot dates with Borderlands, Uncharted 2, some anime, and Modern Warfare 2 in the coming months. And speaking of Modern Warfare 2, you guys heard what happened? Pretty controversial stuff. The media will be all over it. Oh and yes, Happy 9th Birthday, Playstation 2! ![]()
Oh yeah, if you actually have the time to read my recent reviews, dozo:
It's really getting cold here in Arizona. Winter season's coming, better be prepared! ![]()
College
I start today. Well technically,I started college classes last week, but those are for online and stuff. So I wasn't really going to school per se. You get the idea.I'm about to leave home in an hour, and I won't be back until later on tonight.
So I'm going to hit the gym first and do some Lifetime Fitness crap. It said I don't really have to be there on specific times or days, just the hours you spend in every session. Just go in, present your ID, and work out at your own pace. This is my chance to lose some unnecessary fat...mainly on the belly area. It wouldn't really hurt to build up my arms too. Anyways, up next is Biology 156. So I might be reviewing some stuff from high school, which is a good thing. Then I have lab every Tuesday and it lasts until 9:30. So I'll be gone in a long while.
It might affect my activity here, but my classes aren't that hard yet. We'll see though. I'll continue to be here for as long as I can. Anyways, I got a new emblem today:

What? OTS is evolving!
OTS evolved into TOTS! This savvy user watched the first episode of our newly transformed On the Spot show called Today On the Spot; short for TOTS.
So that's new. The next episode is in about 2 hours or so, but I'm going to miss it. Oh well. I don't really know what to say about the new TOTS. What do you guys/gals think? I also finished a review for Rogue Galaxy, and it's already up. Check it out when you have the time, 'kay? ![]()
Rogue Galaxy review
It's also been featured in the GS community blog. But, it's, you know....not a big deal ![]()
Recently, I got hired as a freelance writer at NoobFeed. For those of you who haven't heard of it, Noobfeed is basically a pretty new website right now, bringing you some coverage in video games. Please support it by signing up. It's easy and harmless
If you have the time to check it out, you can in this link:
So that's my blog for today. Laters, and wish me luck ![]()
Goombella...and School
Hey ya'll. It's been a while since I last blogged. Man, that line is really getting old, isn't it? Sorry about that. I'm basically nervous right now, because I'm starting college next week. I'm not going to be hanging out with familiar friends in a familiar setting anymore; I'm going to study in places where I'm basically a nobody. ![]()
Ehehehe...listen to me moping around. I'm sure I'll get over it. My nervousness is probably the reason why I haven't been posting much here at GS. Again, I'm sorry for missing your blogs; hopefully I can catch up. I'll come around eventually. And lately, I've been trying to finish some reviews, but this college business is getting to me, so I can't get anything done. Hope college isn't so hard. Everybody's saying it's pretty much a cakewalk, but I'm getting bad vibes about it. *shudders in a corner*
Anyways, I leveled up. Level 33 I am.
I wonder what Goombella means. Is it a game? Someone tell me. I'm too lazy to google it
Oh, you may have noticed my avatar changed. That's right, I gave up on Lightning and moving on to Naoto
Here's a cool sig made by Gr33nHippo. Thanks again!![]()

So that's my blog for today. Laters.
Celebrity Voices in Modern Warfare 2
So apparently, Infinity Ward is now inviting celebrities to play Modern Warf--I mean... Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (so I don't piss off those fanboys out there), and see how the game feels and stuff like that. Oh yeah, 50 Cent played the game along with the guys from that one band Good Charlotte, as I've been informed.

So why did I mention 50 Cent? Because he's going to record voice roles for Modern Warfare 2. That's right, 50 Cent...doing voices...in Modern Warfare 2. To be specific, 50 himself has stated his role is described as "The Multi-Player Role." So...he'll be doing voices of a squad member in the multiplayer/spec-ops modes. I heard Dane Cook might even be in it. Who knows...
I can imagine it now. His lines are probably going to be like these (If you've seen some footage of Blood on the Sand, you'll be familiar with these lines):
- "I'ma kill ya'll mutha****in' b****es!!!"
- "Watch out fo' that grenade, b****!!!"
- "Yo fitty! Jump off over that big-*ss ramp!!"
- "Playtime's over, b****es!!"
- I'ma kill ya' whole generation, mutha*****s!!"
I could seriously go on.
So has Infinity Ward, by letting these celebrities voice their game think it'll appeal more to gamers and sell more? Right now, I just think it's such a weird fit for 50 Cent being in this kind of game. Is he the worst actor they could ever find? I don't really think so, it's just strange for 50 Cent yelling lines like the ones I wrote above. But it won't really stop me from playing the game anyways. I guess that's a good thing.
EDIT: I just edited a tad bit or that last paragraph right there, because some people misinterpreted what I meant to say, sorry about that.

I'm just your typical, average guy who still hasn't found what he really wants to do in life. I enjoy video games as much as the next guy, and somehow find satisfaction in writing about them. I'm not a hardcore gamer per se, but I still enjoy playing games no matter how terrible I do sometimes.
I'll play anything if it piques my interest. Role-playing and platformers are more my cup of tea, but I'm starting to explore more on shooters and action/adventure games.
I also find amusement making music with my band, and socialize with friends and family on some ocassions. My life in a nutshell.
