Chapter I - My Short Film

In the upcoming weeks, I will be filming an as-yet-untitled short film about a teenage girl's death at a party. The film is a series of flashbacks detailing the drama of party and the lead-up to it. I play the character of Bell, a friend of the girl at the party. Strangely enough, I don't have a scene with her. Anyway, I might post some screencaps of the movie up here when I get the DVD.

I'm on holidays at the moment, so I'm doing absolutely nothing for the next two weeks. You know, watching movies, hanging with friends. I'm going clothes shopping soon coz I'm slowly getting bored of the clothes I currently have.

Check out my friend's profile at chocaholic29 - he's new here and trying to build up his profile around the place. So drop in and say "hi".

I'll hear from you all later when chapter two comes around.

Back In Action

I've been away for a long, long, long, long, long, very long time, but I am back at TV.com to continue doing some fun television stuff and promoting Australian TV. Year 11 has been hectic, but thankfully it's the holidays soI can finally relax.

I am still keeping up with television stuff and I've fallen absolutely in love with new show City Homicide, and Nine's new drama Damages. Neighbours, Grey's Anatomy, Lost and Heroes continue to be my favourite shows and am loving Summer Heights High.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention that I'm back again. By the way, just saw Hairspray and have fallen absolutely in love with it.

MY UPCOMING WEEK:

This week sees me returning back to my regular school days. Oh, how exciting! *Sarcasm* This Wednesday it's Anzac Day. Usually I'd be happy about a Public Holiday, another day to absolutely nothing. But no, I'm really worried! Very anxious indeed. I have to march with the school band throughout the big street in my suburb. I have to start the marching song AND end it! I play the bass drum and I'm so nervous I'll stuff something up. AND the drum master has the softest voice in history and she can't use the stick properly at all! AND I have to go exactly the right speed otherwise the war veterans behind me won't be able to keep up. Imagine if I went to fast! ARGH!!! It is going to be a very long day!

Even more nerve-racking news, I have a Philosophy & Reasoning exam on Thursday/Friday which I haven't studied for AT ALL! I have an English oral on Thursday, and I need to fix up the DVD player thingo for the oral coz I gotta show clips from a sitcom (I'm doing Kath & Kim). I hate it! My English teacher is crazy. She's old and she does the craziest things. She was talking to us when she walked out of the room to get something still talking and came back into the room in the middle of a completely different subject! She was talking about something completely different! None of us knew what she was on about! And then there was the time when she stood frozen at the front of the room for about one minute thinking about something to say. She just stood there. I almost laughed out loud.

Anyway, there's a plus side to this upcoming week. ACTING TOMORROW NIGHT!! WOOT!! I'm so excited. Anyway, I don't know what I'm doing, I just wanna act again. I'm so deprived!

Last week, I went on the school leadership camp. It was so much fun. I made heaps new friends. I did twister buggies, sort of army cars and now I really wanna drive. Just 9 months to go!! YAY!!  I got really scared doing rock climbing... not my thing AT ALL!! There was a moment where I was hanging almost upside down. SO SCARY!!! I went canoeing which I love! And motor boats were crazy too! I wanna go again!

Two of my friends went to Supanova, this sort of anime/comic book expo thingo. I didn't go, but they went as Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean. Seriously, they look EXACTLY like them!! They told me they got TONS of people taking pictures and wanting hugs. Now I really regret not going!!!

 TELEVISION:

THE SIDESHOW WITH PAUL McDERMOTT
Did anyone catch "The Sideshow" on Saturday night on the ABC? It was absolutely hilarious, so entertaining! A brilliant variety show, and one my new favourites! - Saturday 7:30pm (ABC)

THE CATHERINE TATE SHOW
I've only seen one episode of this show, but it is absolutely hilarious! Everyone has to check it out sometime! - Wednesday 9:35pm (ABC)

NEIGHBOURS
This week, Pepper is held hostage by Mad Mary, but why? Also, Lolly is finally leaving but apparently it doesn't happen until May which is annoying. - Weeknights 6:30pm (Ten)

BROTHERS & SISTERS
Aside from "Heroes", this has got to be the year's best new drama. It is so dramatic, moving and funny. Check out an episode - Monday 9:30pm (Seven)

MUSIC:

MAROON 5
They're finally back, and yet again they've created another brilliant catchy tune. Check out "Makes Me Wonder" it's brilliant!

TRAVIS
At first, I thought "Closer" was by Snow Patrol, but then I saw that it was by Travis. This is a brilliant uplifting song, everyone has to hear it, it's very sweet. Also, reminisce on Travis's greatest hits with "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?"

SOPHIE ELLIS BEXTOR
I used to be a HUGE fan of Sophie Ellis Bextor - remember "Murder on the Dancefloor" and "Get Over You"? Now she's back with another catchy dance tune "Catch You". I LOVE IT!

LIOR
Listen to "This Old Love" and "Autumn Flow". They are absolutely sensational!

My New World

I have began creating a new and improved blog starting with more frequent, updated, intellegent and interesting news about my life and everything I love. Hopefully I'll get some pictures in here. I've tried but something weird came up saying my Tag img may not have attribute title. I tried over and over to get it to work but it didn't so I had to reject the pictures in favour of just words. Hopefully everyone enjoys the new "look" that never happened!

This week school starts again in two days. And I haven't even STARTED my english assignment due on the first day back. ARGH! I'm in year eleven and I'm really lacking in the organisation. I got good grades on my report though, so hopefully this term I will continue to do well.

But also first day back I'm leaving for the school "leadership" camp for all people trying out for leadership positions in year twelve, the final year. I'm going because I am hoping to get Drama Prefect. Hopefully the camp will be fun. But apparently we have to sleep in swags, cook our own food on a campfire we make ourselves in a group AND there are bucket showers. You have to carry a bucket of water, put it in the shower spinner thingo and it comes out hot and cold mixed together. I don't want to shower. Do you think people will notice if I don't?

The activities should be fun though - canoeing, rock climbing, swimming, blowing up a bridge (weird, I don't know what this is about - apart from the obvious blowing up a bridge but why are we blowing up a bridge?) However, everytime I get excited about camp, I start feeling horrible that I haven't done my english assignment. Oh, it's terrible!

Anyway, what else is on this week? Nothing that I can think of. I actually can't wait till Friday. I dunno why. I suppose camp's over and I can relax for a weekend instead of dreading something... oh hang on, I've got my philosophy exam on that monday morning. Damn! But at least there's acting ****that night. There's SOMETHING to look forward to.

And now for the tantilising extras. The special features on the double disc edition of my blog. I haven't really thought about what's going in this section yet, but I'll figure it out. At the moment, I'm just hoping that this will all look fine and interesting and special and exciting.

Well, I'll start by putting what I hope will become a recurring theme in my blogs. My favourites of the week. Kinda stole this off a couple of people. I've been seeing it around in some blogs, so I thought maybe I should have a go. So I'll thank everyone in advance now even though I can't remember your names or your blogs.

April's Inspirational Quote:
The best way to prepare for life is to begin to live - Edward Hubbard

Word of the Week:
POCILLOVY meaning the hobby of collecting egg cups.

Song of the Week:
"This Old Love" by Lior

Film of the Week:
Memoirs of a Geisha

Shock of the Week:
My friends not winning the school talent quest finals last week. They did an AWESOME Pirates of the Caribbean dance. And they didn't win!!! I was stunned. They got a big shock when I didn't win it coz I also participated, singing andplaying piano and a friend playing drums. But despite the popularity of both our performances, neither of us won! Shocking!

The Problem With That "TV Show" I Was Meant to Be In!

This is a bit delayed, but I guess you could say that I'm just angry. Ages ago, back when I wrote the previous blog, I was excited because I received an email that I had gotten into this TV show by Roving Enterprises where I would play a paperboy. All sounded cool. All sounded well. All sounded normal. Until the night before, I receive another email. This one gets me a bit worrysome.

Apparently, it was never a TV show and I don't even know what this mention of Roving Enterprises was about because it has nothing to do with that!

I went to the middle of Brisbane city, Anzac Square to be exact, with my uncomfortable boots on ready to film something. I get there, I get to the middle of Brisbane city, and they're handing out long socks, funny vest things and satchels. I take long socks, I take a funny vest thing, I take a satchel. Then, I collect these newspaper sort of things which I'm supposed to take.

Following this, there's a small introductory meeting. People introduce themselves and they tell everyone what exactly will be going on, and this is what they said. "You will all be handing these newspaper brochures to the people of Brisbane City. This is an advertising venture and the business want to advertise as much as possible."

It's a new online newspaper called brisbanetimes.com.au. It's ridiculous. There's no cameras, no filming, no Roving Enterprises, no television, no nothing!!! It's all ADVERTISING! WALKING AROUND BRISBANE CITY HANDING OUT FLYERS!!! It's showing off our acting skills, they say. Showing it to who? People don't like getting brochures from random people in the street. Especially not when you're dressed as a paperboy.

And so finishes my rant of how angry I am that this once-so-named "Roving Enterprises Television Series" came not to be! I don't know what happened. They all probably hate me and are out to get me. They don't want me in any TV show. So much for getting my name on TV.com

On the plus side, it's the holidays. Hurrah! Celebration! Four days to go, and I haven't done any of my assignments. I've still gotta do my English oral, I've gotta study for a Philosophy exam and I've got camp the first week back and I have to clean all the windows in my huge house because my mum let me rent seven DVD's. Only seven, and I have to clean seven hundred windows. Ridiculous!

Anyway, I'm at least looking forward to the premiere of PIrates of the Caribbean 3 in May. Hope you all have a wonderful week, have a wonderful April, and I hope you had a superb Easter!
