Juno - Cloverfield - Grindhouse

The last 3 films i'v seen have all been ridiculously awesome, i have never had a better run of movies, seriously these are really good. Of course this post will have mild spoilers but ill seperate them into movies, so if you have only seen one, than you can just skip to that movie

Juno

I was expecting a lot from this movie, i went in, and it shattered my expectations. This is what i want for the future of the entertainemnt industry, intelligence. I'm sick of these stupid gross-out/parody comedies that make lots of money. Juno had real emotion, despite it being a comedy. I nearly cried when Juno waddled out of the adoptive parents house to her car after the fight, it was really sad. Seriously peple this is a great film.

Grindhouse

Grindhouse never got releases in theatres in Australia with both films together, however a lesser known theatre is playing it for 1 week only, so i had to see it. Well Planet terror was excellent, the stupidity (on purpose) of the characters, and the amount of blood whenever someone was hit by a car or bullet, it was ridiculously funny. Death Proof wasn't as good, but still a decent film, very comedic, the whole theatre was laughing half the time. The fake trailers were ridiculosuly funny, Simmon Pegg's add was the funniest, Eli Roth is apparantly making his trailer into a movie. These movie are definalty worth the money, expecially since it's 3 hours for 1 admission, we even got an intermission, which is always good for me because i always need to go to the toilet during a movie.

Cloverfield

I saw this yesterday because there were no films left i wan't to se, so i figure JJ Abrams, i might aswell. I didn't even know what it was about, i had only seen the poster. When i went to buy my ticket, the lady asked me if it was alright if it caused motion sickness. This was a bloody awesome film, the best part about it was that i didn't know what it was about, so it was a suprise, it was really Godzilla like, but still it didn't bother me. This again was worth every cent and was genuinly loved every second, i will be watching this again when it'd released on DVD

So everyone, i hope you enjojed my talking and i hope you see/have seen these movies and loved them. I will watch Sweeney Tood next week before school goes back.

Well 2008 has gotten off to a good start for me movie wise, Sweeney was really good. But there really isn't anything else I want to see coming out till summer so I'll halfta wait and see if I'm on a good streak.

ive been wondering about Juno. have u seen American Gangstar yet??

I've only seen Juno of those movies, and it was excellent. In the beginning it felt like the movie was trying a little too hard to be "arty", but it got a lot better. The soundtrack was great too. I really want to see Cloverfield some time this week.

Anyway, take care.

I love Juno! It was an unbelieveably good movie, in my opinion!

Cloverfield rocks. It's a blast, I like JJ's "less is better" approach. It works.

Cloverfield was good, you say? I thought the ad looked pretty average, but I've seen a lot of crappy-looking-trailer-movies tha turned out to be some of the best ones I've seen. JJ Abrams is great - despite what he let happen to Alias.

Juno - I might have seen a promo for that, but I can't remember what it looked like it was about. I should check it out.

As for Grindhouse, I have no idea what that is. Sounds gorey.

SMGslayer97: Yer i can't see anything good coming out, maybe Run Fatboy, Run. I dunno Simon Pegg is funny, but the trailer wasn't so great. But yer i am defiantly looking forward to Sweeney Todd, it comes out tomorrow, so ill see it in a couple of days.

othforeverlove: Yep, pretty much everyones opinion

PabloExobar: Yer i really enjoyed it, i liked that it was simple, it didn't have music and all the regular stuff that just doesn't work for these movies, it makes the fear seem more real. It sucks if you get motion sickness though, I'm glad i didn't

efc1991: Planet Terror was much better, oh well, when it eventually comes out on DVD rent it. Now go watch Cloverfield and Juno

michael_LB92: OMG, u suck...sorry....but JJ did a really good job, much better than the last season of Alias I didn't know anything about the film going in and i think that payed off for me big time, i hadn't even seen a trailer. But it's great
Juno is about the pregnant 16 year old, you know...the one that one all those awards?
Grindhouse it 2 films slammed into one, both good

I saw Cloverfield yesterday! I LOVED it . I got asked about motion sickness too . I think the fact it was filmed with a video camera made it a little more realistic... despite the monsters.

It made more sense when I said it yesterday :lP

sienna_luvs_tv: Yer it was great wasn't it, but the moving of the camera didn't bother me at all, but it did make it seem more realistic
