This is an amazing Cd. Not only is the music great, but the booklet and cover art is amazing as well. The cd tells a story through comic book filled lyrics in the booklet. This is a really unique and brilliant idea. The story is about a guy who is being dragged down by the town he is living in, and wanting to leave. "History of a Boring Town" expresses this nicely. The guy also has a tendency to drink his problems away. "Richard Allen George...No, It's Just Cheeze" shows this well. "Hello Rockview" has some great tunes on it, the hornlines on "Nervous In the Alley" are wonderful. Meanwhile, another great thing about "Hello Rockview" is the fact that there is never a dull moment on the Cd. Every song sticks out in its own way. While, Less Than Jake's previous releases were amazing, one thing about "Rockview" is that there is a larger variety of sounds mixed in on the Cd. It ranges from the anthem "Al's War" to the track "Five State Drive", which is nearly impossible to sit still through. All the amazing tracks on this album have set up for an superbly great release!

Less Than Jake's "Losing Streak" is a Cd that I -cannot- get out of my Cd player. Every song on the Cd just makes you want to move around, and there is never a dull moment! Tracks like "How's My Driving, Doug Hastings" ,"Automatic" "Just Like Frank" and every other song on the Cd are nearly impossible not to love and get excited when you hear them. They are really feel good songs too! It makes my day a whole lot better, when I listen to "Losing Streak"! Every song is a classic ska-punk anthem, that you cannot get out of your head!

Green Day's first full length was a great album to start off with. It really brings you back to the underground Green Day era. This has got to be my favorite Green Day album. Billie Joe's lyrics are childish and fun on some songs, and he wrote alot about love, growing up, fitting in and of course pot! Green Day also did a strange but good cover of Operation Ivy's song "Knowledge". Green Day might be best known for albums like "Dookie", and "American Idiot", but "1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours" definately deserves some respect and appreciation!

Patent Pedings newest release "Save Eachother, the Whales are Doing Fine" has a great sound and vibe to it. Every song sounds different. Patent Pending have really developed a unique sound. Patent Pending are definately good enough to be on the radio and MTV, but they are not. If you haven't heard them, I definately suggest you look into them!

Less Than Jake's newest release, was very dissapointing to me at first, but as I continued to listen to it, I liked it more and more. It's still not even close to my favorite Less than Jake CD. But, it's still a solid release that I enjoy. My favorite songs off the IWTOC are "Don't Fall Asleep on the Subway" and "P.S Shock the World". The CD has its downfalls though, with "Landmines Landslides" a little annoying. and "the Rest of My Life" lacking the quirky funness that Less than Jake usually brings. The chorus of "Fall Apart" sounds like All-American Rejects, which there's nothing wrong with that, but Less than Jake don't need to sound like anyone else! -8.7-
