IT's Finally here !!!
Picked up my copy of the UFC Undisputed game this morning on the way to work. So great looking at it on my desk knowing that right after work Ihave band practice and won't be home until after 11 tonight - so it's either going to be a late night tonight or I'll be up real early tomorrow so I can try the full version.Next games on the horizon my be the Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and possibly the Ghostbuster game. My daughter wants to get that one, I told her if she wants to get it for me for father's day she could, so we'll see. She likes the movies, so will probably pick it up anyway.
Great day for dlc on Rock Band - one of my all time favorite artists - Alice Cooper - has 6 classic songs that launched this morning - I ws up early this morning to download those and played thru them.
To fill the gap between games for something a bit different I picked up a used copy of Frontline: Fuel of War - wasn't too bad - finished it in under 5 hours. I liked the remot controlled ehlicopters in the game - pretty cool. I'd give it a strong 7 or a weak 7.5 - I didn't do any mulitplayer stuff, just the single player campagn.
Also - finally broke the 10,000 mark on my gamerscore !! Been a long time coming - so it seems.
Otherwise, not much going on worth writting home about - sister had ababy shower this lat Sunday, so I hung out with my brother-in-law while my wife went to the shower - otherwise, just going day by day.
Hot !!!
Spring has come and gone and summer is here - at least it feels like it. Just a few days ago it was only in the 50's, last couple days hit upper 80's-lower 90's!!! Of course it's suppose to cool off again this week, so we'll see what happens. As long as there is no rain during the day - I'm fine.
Band practice is coming along - we have about 4 or 5 tunes we're getting pretty tight on. Looking to add more week to week.
Gaming has hit a drought - I jump back and forth between a few - COD:W@W, Rocks Band, 2K9 MLB, and occassinally Saints Row 2. Waiting on the UFC game next month, then not much else, in my opinion< launching until fall or so.
Last Day - making the best of it.
Well, had a SNAFU w/my speakers I orered for my b'day - they don't fit my car. Even thought the website for Crutchfield says they do. I spoke to a guy at Crutchfield, got it straightened out. Sent back the Infinity's today and received 2 pairs of Blauplunkt's - a pair of 6 1/2" for the front and 6X9's for the back .- got them in earlier today, they sound SO much better than the old crappy factory speakers I had in there.
To go along with my last day of my mini vacation, my sister0-in-law and her husband & my niece flew home to Colorado today, and tonight, my wife's grandmother is taking us out to Red Lobster for dinner - LOVE RED LOBSTER !!
Back to work tomorrow - hopefully the last few days off was enough to recover & unwind.
Busy & relaxing week coming !!!
Only working 2 days this week - took the rest off for vacation for a little break from the usual B-S.
Busy weekend though, my sister-in law and her husband & my neice are flying in from Colorado Thursday night - I have band practice at 7 that night too.
Friday is my b'day - hoping the weather holds off so we can go golfing that day.
Party for my sister-in-law as she's having another baby, then Sunday is Easter, so stuff going on all day then for my daughter and dinner w/ family.
Best part is I ordered myself some new speakers for my car (my b'day gift) - 2 pairs of 6 1/2" Infinity speakers to replace the garbage factory speakers that are already in there. Can't wait to get them - paid for express shipping, should have them Thursday !!!
What now ?
Well, Resident Evil 5 is out, and I'm a ways into it, not as far as some, but I'm making progress, the Pearl Jam TEN album for Rock Band launched this morning and that's downloaded, the new maps for COD:W@W are out as well. What is there to look forward in games from here ? Only a small few I have my eye on, but nothing that has me on the edge of my seat, anxiously awaiting the release date to arrive.
Spring weather is soon to arrive, a lot of snow has melted away, except snow banks and spots the sun doesn't hit during the day. Really looking forward to getting out ont he golf course again. Also, hspoke to a buddy I have talked to in a while, may have a musical project in the works, so will get some use out of my drums again. Hooking up this weekend, so we'll see where it goes from there.
Otherwise, dealing with my 3rd friggin cold in 2 months, tired of feeling sick all of the time !!! Besides the cabin fever everyone is suffereing from - all else is going ok.
