its been whole of 9 years since this masterpiece was first released. Third eye blind rocketed up the charts and into the scene with their debut single "Semi-Charmed Life". It was undoubtedly the anthem of the year, almost everyone i knew was hooked on the song, with its catchy opening of 'do do do, do do do do...', who was to blame?? "Jumper" also received its fair share of airplay. However, many never really took the band seriously. If you would just devote an hour of your precious time to check this album out, i swear you'll be on your knees begging for more. Steve Jenkins and co. really created a timeless album, with each song containing such heartfelt lyrics. For those with an edgier taste, "Losing a Whole Year", "Narcolepsy" are a must have! For the more emo lovers, "Motorcycle drive by", "God of wine" and "Hows it going to be" are highly recommended. My all-time personal fave track would be "The Background". Jenkins sings about how he has yet to move on despite the end of his relationship. Yeap, its a mourning song, it burns like acid thrown at ur heart. The song is tragic, its melodious, its simply beautiful...
What shocked me the most is that, no members have yet to write a comment on this masterpiece debut of Third Eye Blind. Which is why i became a member of mp3.com, just so i could do justice to the world by giving this album a review. I may be a newbie here, but please, do yourself a favour and trust me...JUST THIS ONCE!!! =]
