Ugh, I feel dirty. I gave in to the filty, rotten *censored* at Activision and Infinity Ward and bought Modern Warfare 2. It was $20 less (49.99 instead of 69.99) and figured I could see how the single player mode played out and if all else fails, use it whenever I have a multiplayer shooter itch.
Mini review? (Spoiler free)
It's definitely not worth it. For the SP or MP.
Single player, (er... story mode? Not the spec ops mode) is much shorter and much easier. I played through the veteran difficulty in about 8-10 hours. I know some may think for a game like this it's the average amount. It's not considering how long it took me to beat MW1. Remember, I'm talking about difficulty, not necessarily the story length.
It had interesting little perk moments but still disappointing.
As for the MP, it's the same ol thing with just some alterations. (ie: Perks & Maps) Just enough has changed to lure in us suc-- uhm.. "fans".
Spec Ops is just like a challenge arena. Either with timed events, spawning enemies, etc. It's like it's Activision and IW's way of giving a tacked on watered down option to play with a friend without a real co-op experience. That energy would have been better suited to a longer SP story mode.
Unless you are some absolute, utter die hard Modern Warfare fan that has exhausted every ounce from your MW1 copy and your primary interest is some hardcore MP, either rent or pass it up.
I'm a collector and even I'm tempted to trade this game.
Got it on friday and I still have it...so yay. Not really. It ain't fun.
I wasn't able to sleep the entire weekend. All I've been doing is laying down and feelin' like crap. So later.
Do not send me any union invitations, I am not interested in joining anyones unions; big, small, active, unactive. They all will be deleted, and by not sending me one it will save me some time of deleting it. The gamespot unions are dead and I'm trying to keep my sole union alive in the void of dead unions. Thx.

Today is the birthday of one of the greatest artists of all time. John Lennon!
Two cool things that I discovered recently:
Cool thing # 1:
I logged on to GS yesterday and went to the 'forums' page.
Thats when I discovered that I had been last online in 1970, precisely on the first of January.
cool eh?

does anyone know how to fix it? ![]()
cool thing # 2
Definitely the best flash animation ever, and quite possibly good enough to rival even the best animated stuff out there: NINJAI: The little ninja. An online flash animated action adventure series 'that centers around the life of Ninjai, a young samurai/ninja who is traveling the ancient world looking for meaning and purpose in his life. Along the way, his path is crossed not only by demons and rogues but by entertaining and humorous characters. Ninjai's best friend is 'Little Bird', a cute and brave side kick with whom Ninjai often converses.' (wikipedia)

Everything from the direction, animation, music etc is all top notch. You can watch it online here
beware though, it can turn very violent sometimes...
It's been over 5 months now and I'm finishing up my 6 month tour of Iwakuni Japan. I'm very excited. As you can see, I'm posting when I should be in bed. It's 0015 here, that's midnight plus 15 minutes for all of you. ![]()
Three more weeks and I will be back in the loving arms of my wife!!! I can't wait. We have talked at least twice a day since I've been here but we still miss each other immensely. I can't wait to get home and hold my baby girl. She has gotten so big and I'm looking forward to every minute that I will be home.
The best thing about going on deployment, vacation, or traveling is coming home to a family that loves you and misses you. I hope all of you get to experience that in your lifetimes!

-Mo sends.

I personaly have not been the biggest fans of Martin Scorsese's films but this one...this one is truely stelar. An absolutley amazing movie, its fast, its edgy, its smart, its sleek, its a damn good story with a damn good cast. Every character is relatable, likable, hatable, and I could keep going on and on and on, but thats not what you want is it? No it really isnt, so I'll just stop by saying, See. It. Now.
Well everyone, despite my lack of attention to this site, I ain't dead yet. I hinted in my last entry why I wasnt around too much anymore and I with some regret, but more happiness tell you that I have been completely consumed by World of Warcraft. Yes I am one of those maniacs that plays it in 48 hour chunks, and I have done that several times I might add. 43 days logged, wow (pun intended) isnt that sad? Isnt that truely pathetic? Sure it is. But those of you who have yourself been enlightented you know of what I speak.
So I will update this from time to time, mainly focusing on movies that anything else....and yeah this X3 theme, I think its time is about up, really gotta make a new one...
