So long, farewell!
It's currently 10:03pm here in Sydney, tomorrow morning I need to be up at 5am to catch the plane on time and I'm still packing! I am a very very bad packer. I cannot pack lightly. I'm trying to shove my entire wardrobe into my little suitcase and both my parents are yelling at me to only take the essentials. But I keep freaking out that I will need all this random stuff. I just spent an hour trying to fit 9 pairs of shoes in my backpack, with my mum glaring at me and shaking her head. She made me remove 6 of my shoes. I feel so empty inside.

And it's so much worse that it'll be winter over there. At least summer clothes are all nice and small. I just put A warm coat, a raincoat, a leather jacket, tracksuit pants and Half-Blood Prince in my luggage and it's already full. Grr. I'm not even taking any Twilight books, because my friend wanted to borrow them while I was away and I couldn't refuse because I'm too freaking nice. Gah.

I think our plane trip to Tokyo is about 10 hours. I'm quite excited for that actually, I love plane trips. It's just eating and sleeping and sitting and watching tv, which is pretty much what I do all the time anyways. My iPod is fully charged too and loaded with dozens of new podcasts to listen to, including Buffy Between the Lines season 1! Plus I put Glee on there
And we're staying in Tokyo for 4 nights. I just got my travel card done loaded up with a few months of pay and I plan to take a nice long walk down Harajuku and spend spend spend! I will come back home with the quirkiest stuff, I'm very excited. Then after that we're going to Rome for a week, where we'll pick up our hired car and drive around Northern Italy for a few more days. Not that exciting, I've been there and it's all traffic and old smelly historical buildings that I don't really care about. Then we're driving down to Sicily and going pretty much everywhere there. Then finally going to a small down at the very south called Avola where my grandmother and aunt live, and we're staying there over Christmas and New Years. I think we're staying there for the rest of January as well, but we're probably gonna go to Egypt, Malta and London, for like a day thing. Like I said, not too overly excited about Italy, but oh well. I'm mainly looking forward to Japan. There's an Irish pub behind our hotel and a KFC in front of it. Chicken and beer: I'm set! It'll be like I never even left home.

I'm bringing my laptop and might get access to wireless internet every now and then, but not often. I won't be able to check my mod queue once a week. I get back Febuary 4 2010, and I hope it's still gonna be warm here when I get back. I can't stand the thought of losing Summer. It's gonna be a hot one this year, I can tell. It's only November now and it's already hit 42 degrees celcius. Damn gradual yet inevitable heating of the Earth's core! I really shouldn't have watched 2012.

To quote my buddy Porky... That's all folks!

So, i come back to check comments on the blog i did earlier which was mainly about PETA, only to discover that it's gone. I have to assume PETA hired ninja's to hack my account and delete my defaming remarks or the slightly more likely option, the tv.com mods saw fit to delete it... without notice too! For what reason, i dunno cus like i said, i received no TOS, no warning, the damn blog is just gone. Funny thing is that I'm pretty sure i have written blogs a lot more depraved than that one. *Sigh* I was already contemplating leaving this shythole and now that my opinions are being stifled... I'm out. Love ya all...

Lat... Buh Bye!

Is the internet really that wonderful?
Well I mean honestly, is it?

Porn is readily available for anyone of any age to see. Pedophiles use it as a virtual playground to find new victims. Adults use websites to prey on the vulnerabilities of young children leading them to suicide. People use it as a means to hide anonymously, say things they never would have the audacity to say to another human being face to face. Insurance companies use it to remove benefits. Oh yeah even that last one is true. Check It

I have been watching Family Guy and I have found that I actually like it, in a sick twisted kind of way. I usually just watch the reruns on Adult Swim, The Spot Cartoon Network or online at legal sources only. I have also managed to get hooked on Ghost Whisperer not even really sure how but I did. NCIS is still on my radar although I haven't watched an episode since the premier. I have them all sitting on my DVR, I will eventually get to them.

I managed to make my first set of Christmas purchases on Friday. I utilized the internet and did some online shopping. My mother and I will be making the voyage to the place that has everything tomorrow. I am not happy about it, but it has to be done. While I was in my basement sifting through the 'Christmas crap' as I call it, and made an executive decision. I am going to buy a new Christmas tree, the one I have is 8 years old. The lights are shot as they are 8 years old also. I have been looking online and the dreaded place has those also for a good price...pre-lit tree here I come. I am all about simplicity.

I think that about covers it for this blog, thanks for reading everyone. In the off chance I don't blog again before Thanksgiving, have a great holiday!! Be safe and remember don't drink and drive.

Ok guys I am gonna jet, I have lots to do. Enjoy!!

Later Taters!!

Favorite Shows on Tv

Hello, tv.com.

It has been too long, hasn't it?

What is everyone up to? I have been sick for a week, but slowly getting better.

Anyway, I wanted to do another blog, it has been forever.

I'll do another list, which is what I love doing most.

My 35 favorite shows on tv.(as in, shows that haven't ended yet)

How many of these are you watching?

35. Damages

I have never liked this show as much as the average critic.
But it is a great show that I still need to catch up on. Eventually, but it isn't a show that I NEED to see.

34. Being Human

One of the few British shows that I have ever truly liked.
What is taking Season 2 so long?

33. Hung

Still need to catch up on this show, but is it good? Absolutely.
Humor is very awkward, which doesn't appeal to everyone, but it does to me.

32. Family Guy

Haven't watched this one in a while, but it is a great show for when you are bored.

31. Medium

Haven't bothered watching the new Season yet.
Quite frankly, it is a great show but it is time to end it already.

30. The Tudors

Pretty much the guilty-pleasure version of 'Rome'.
Is it worth watching? For sure, if not just for it's sexiness and great outfits.

29. Man Vs. Wild

Gotten a little tired of this one, but Bear Grylls never gets boring.

28. 30 Rock

A little too American, but I certainly understand the hype.
Best comedic cast on tv, for sure.

27. The Simpsons

This show never gets old. 21 Seasons old? Damn.

26. Nurse Jackie

One of the best new shows of the year, Edie Falco blows me away with her great performance.

25. Weeds

The humor on this show is getting worse, whilst the drama is only getting better.
It is being dragged on longer than it should have, but it is still worth watching.

24. Rescue Me

This show is like a roller coaster ride, it has big highs and big lows and little in-betweens.
But the occasional great performances and unique story makes it unforgettable.

23. Nip/Tuck

Pretty much the exact same thing as Rescue Me.
But season six, which will be the series' last, is proving to be as dark and as memorable as the first three seasons so far.

22. South Park

A show that has gotten a bit too old, but is it still entertaining? You betcha.

21. Skins

Too high on the list? Pretty much.
But when the show is good, it is pretty heartbreaking.

20. Survivor

In it's 19th Season, and still going on strong.
The only reality show that I would recommend to anyone.

19. Epitafios

I am probably the only person here that will ever watch this show.
It airs on Latin HBO, which means that it is all in Spanish. Pretty awesome.

18. The Office

Behind on this one, mainly because I do not like it as much as during it's first three seasons.
But it is still one of the best comedies on tv.

17. Entourage

I am not yet caught up with this one, but I have been watching episodes here and there and loving it more the more I watch it.

16. In Treatment

I am still not finished with it's first Season.
Why? I do not know. Honestly, I loved what I saw of it. Excellent show.

15. Lost

The show has changed so much, and I don't think that it's as smart or nearly as touching as it used to be.
It actually feels like just another action-y show instead of a powerful, supernatural drama.
Hopefully Season 6 gives it the right send off.

14. Robot Chicken

One of the best ways to kill time.
It can be hit-or-miss-y, but for the most part, it is pure unconditional entertainment.

13. True Blood

What is not fun about this show? It has sex, gore, supernatural people, and decent writing and performances.
The best guilty pleasure on tv. period.

12. Party Down

Probably overrating this show that almost nobody has ever even heard of.
But I love it. I love the characters, the cast, the GUEST STARS(!!!), the humor. It is one of those shows you just simply love.

11. Bored To Death

If I would ever write a comedy, it would be something like this.
Just extremely dry, and probably lame. It's hilarious and akward, I love it.

10. Friday Night Lights

Season 4 is starting all over again, half the cast is gone and the show is just better than ever.

09. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Currently going through it's worst Season yet, but it could still recover.
The people on this show are horrible low-lives, what's not to love?

08. Modern Family

Still very fresh and new, but already loving this one.
The cast is superb, with the likes of Ed O'Neill and Ty Burrell.
It has two Colombian characters and the dialog is sharp and histerical. One of the best comedies in a long time.

07. The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

My favorite new show that aired this year.
So far, still has not been renewed or cancelled. Hopefully it does get a second season, because it was a true African gem.

06. Big Love

This show has only been getting better and better.
It has gotten better than I ever though it could get. Gut-wrecking and occasionally hilarious.

05. Flight Of The Choncords

The world needs more Folk, I demand it!
As of now, whether Season 3 will happen is still unsure. HBO wants them back, but the Conchords are not convinced yet.
Here's hoping they do at least one more season.

04. The Venture Bros.

Best. Animated show. Ever. Period.
I love everything about this show. It is epic, freaking histerical, has one of the best voice-acting, excellent set of characters, and a better written and less confusing mythology than Lost.

03. Breaking Bad

Bryan Cranston really carries this show, his performance reminds me of the Deadwood cast, it is that good.
The show is very thrilling without being cheap, you never know what will happen next.

02. Dexter

Season 4 is doing what I didn't think was going to be possible.
It is making me love and fear this show even more. This Season's villain, The Trinity Killer, is almost as freaky as Twin Peak's Bob.
What a great ride this show has been.

01. Mad Men

What can I say about the show that hasn't been said already?
It is a work of art, every single frame is. I can just pause any episode and still be amazed by what I see.
I love that about this show. There is a group of people that will never get what I mean, but if you are into art, you should be able to understand.

New York, New York

"Each man reads his own meaning into New York" - Meyer Berger

Well this is strange - i think it may nearly be a year or more since I last blogged on TV.com. It is so long that I am certain I have fallen into the void on this site.

Well I am creeping back through the black hole and staring into the light to say hello to the world!

Although not really on here I turned more into a lucker peering at tv shows checking the odd blog etc. I don't quite know why I walked away from it for a while I think everything changed so much on this site, it felt very strange.

Anyway.....

I need a little bit of help. I am going to the great City of New York in November believe me I can't wait -its a very surreal feeling at the moment - but wondering if anyone could give me any info on places they have been to etc? Also is anyone familiar with the Empire hotel? whats its like?

I couldn't go without a funny:

The School Answering Machine

This is hilarious - no wonder some people were offended!

This is the message that the Maroochydore High School Queensland, staff voted unanimously to record on their school telephone answering machine.

This is the actual answering machine message for the school.

This came about because they implemented a policy requiring students and parents to be responsible for their children's absences and missing homework.

The school and teachers are being sued by parents who want their children's failing grades changed to passing grades - even though those children were absent 15-30 times during the semester and did not complete enough school work to pass their Cl@ss.

The outgoing message:

Hello! You have reached the automated answering service of your school. In order to assist you in connecting to the right staff member, please listen to all the options before making a selection:

To lie about why your child is absent - Press 1

To make excuses for why your child did not do his work - Press 2

To complain about what we do - Press 3

To swear at staff members - Press 4

To ask why you didn't get information that was already enclosed in your newsletter and several flyers mailed to you - Press 5

If you want us to raise your child - Press 6

If you want to reach out and touch, slap or hit someone - Press 7

To request another teacher, for the third time this year - Press 8

To complain about bus transportation - Press 9

To complain about school lunches - Press 0

If you realize this is the real world and your child must be accountable and responsible for his/her own behaviour, cl@sswork, homework and that it's not the teachers' fault for your child's lack of effort: Hang up and have a nice day!

If you want this in another language, move to a country that speaks it.

Take Care peoples! x

A Non-Fiction Science-Fiction novel.

I know it sounds like an oxymoron, and it is an oxymoron but it's also a legitimate literary genre. I just bought a book called The I-Files: True Reports of Unexplained Phenomena in Illinois. It's filled with "true" stories of ghost sittings, close encounters, big foot, a killer kangaroo who the writer believes to be a Chupacabra, vampires, and crop circles. All these stories are backed up with eyewitness accounts taken from newspapers and police reports, photographs, and scientific evidence that the writer twists a little to fit his theory (that's what all non-fiction writers and most scientists do, actually but that's another conversation for another time). It's all true. Sort of. So, you're probably asking yourself why I'm reading this book, or maybe you aren't. Either way, you're still going to find out. This quarter I'm taking a c l a s s called Writing Non-Fiction. It's similar to the one I took over the summer only less annoying, and more fun. Instead of having to write a research paper, I get to pick a topic and write a story with it. Think non-fiction novels and short stories or articles VS research papers. It doesn't have to be a regurgitation of what I read but rather a true or somewhat true story told in an interesting way. Anyway, enough explaining how this course is different from last quarters. I'm really interested in this c l a s s. I can't wait to read all sorts of non fiction articles and stories from books and magazines that I've started to collect about flying saucers, werewolves, vampires, and all sorts of other X-filesy stuff. Speaking of the X-Files, I got the term non-fiction science-fiction from them, in an episode called Jose Chung's From Outer Space, which is about a writer who went to a small town where UFOs had been spotted, and the body of a dead alien was found. It's a Rashōmon episode, wherein a story is told from the point of view of multiple characters and they all have a different version of events. I highly recommend the episode, even if you don't like the show itself. I haven't decided exactly what I'm going to write about now, although I might right about my own UFO sighting, in a sort of multiple point of view sort of way. Anyway, I'm really excited about the whole thing, and just wanted to share. Now I'm off to write a journal entry for class about the non-fic Sci-fi stuff and about how I'm not the sort of person who journals—mostly because we're supposed to keep a journal for class.

Vacation
Hi All,

Just letting you know I'm going on vacation so won't be tending to my queue for the next week. I return on the 19th but probably won't get back online until the 20th.

Enraged
So I get back from my trip to find all of my 20 submissions for this person rejected, but the day before I left I had the 20 exactly the same submissions accepted for a different person. So does every single staff person handling the queue coming with their own set of rules? Or is there just that one staff member that is out there to get me? I don't get it, wasn't it enough that my rejected subs have 200 submissions that were rejected unfairly?

And as if that wasn't worse, my plea for people to put off submitting resulted in over 60 subs waiting in my queue. Heh, I guess I'll do the other half tomorrow. I haven't even checked the cast forms, but I hope they have finally fixed the import section. Also, when does staff plan to delete the episodes we posted in the forum?

OMG, A Blog!

Why do I only want to blog when I have no time to do it? That has to be one of life's most challenging questions.

Watch Dollhouse when it premieres at the end of September! Unfortunately it will have significantly less Amy Acker, but awesome Adelle should make up for that.

Mumbo jumbo.

And...goodbye!

Old Days

It's weird.

I don't know why I'm blogging about it.

But I miss when I was active in TV.com.

Like, a new blog each week, a few probably.

A couple of editorships every week or fortnight

Tracking people, haven't done that in ages.

Being apart of a few forums.

Commenting on people's blogs.

And, the most important one, knowing a lot of the more active people on here.

Now, I only know a few people.

It kinda sucks to not be as involved in the site like I used to be

---

Anyone else want to be more active in the site again?

My of the Day. Can You Guess Who Does It?

Blades of Glory

I’m a lone wolf in a cage
Lost my partner to a lie
Like a bird with broken wings, yeah
It’s impossible to fly
I tried to live for two
But only trust in one
Is there nothing that we can do?
Are we truly done?
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Could this be the end
of our mythic story?
I don’t know what to say
I don’t know where to turn
All I know is if I stay
Ooh this ice it sure can burn
A man who’s scared of truth
Can only trust in lies
A boy who’s scared to dream
Can never touch the sky, oh yeah
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Today is the first chapter
Of our mythic story
We’ll never part
On these blades of glory
And we’ll cross our hearts
On these blades of glory
What do you say
Tonight we celebrate
By going out our way, yeah
O-oo-oh, let’s go all the way, yeah
It’s our calling
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Blades of glory
We’ll go all night
‘Til we finish the story
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
The dream is alive
And we’ll never be sorry
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory

Or

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
My mother always told me be careful who you love
Be careful what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth, yeah

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

For forty days and for forty nights the law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand, her schemes and her plans
'cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice
Just remember to always think twice
Do think twice

She told my baby we danced 'til three And she looked at me, and showed me a photo
My baby cried, his eyes where like mine
Can we dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don’t go around breaking young girls’ hearts
But she came and stood right by me
Just to smell her sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
Not my son

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid's not my son
Not my son

This is all kinds of music that I am listening to mostly the 70's. Photobucket

A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender, "If I show you a really good trick, will you give me a free drink?" The bartender considers it, then agrees. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues.

After the man finished his drink, he asked the bartender, "If I show you an even better trick, will you give me free drinks for the rest of the evening?" The bartender agrees, thinking that no trick could possibly be better than the first. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues. The man reaches into another pocket and pulls out a small bullfrog, who begins to sing along with the rat's music.

While the man is enjoying his beverages, a stranger confronts him and offers him $100,000.00 for the bullfrog. "Sorry," the man replies, "he's not for sale." The stranger increases the offer to $250,000.00 cash up front. "No," he insists, "he's not for sale." The stranger again increases the offer, this time to $500,000.00 cash. The man finally agrees, and turns the frog over to the stranger in exchange for the money.

"Are you insane?" the bartender demanded. "That frog could have been worth millions to you, and you let him go for a mere $500,000!" "Don't worry about it." the man answered. "The frog was really nothing special. You see, the rat's a ventriloquist."

Hi, I'm Fiona Wallace

It's no secret that Lisa Kudrow is an aexceptional actress. I've always admired her for her incredible comical timing and understanding of her characters. Phoebe on Friends was always my favorite, and Valerie of The Comeback was tragic but oh som funny and downright brilliant. And now Lisa starrs in a new show, once again co-created by herself.

The show in question is Web Therapy, an online series, about five minutes per episode, where Lisa plays Fiona Wallace, a quite egoistic psychiatrist who has three minute therapy sssions via web cam, in lieu of the traditional 50-minute sessions, which she finds only contains meaningless talk. Most of the show is completely improvised, and it is truly hilarious. The show has had guest stars such as Alan Cumming and Coutrney Cox, and it is one of my favorite shows at the moment. So go check it our at www.lsudio.com.

Also enjoying Nurse Jackie, by the way.

Hope everyones great!

Reviews Much?!

I know it's been a while since I last blogged on here, but this site really isn't what it used to be! I finished 1st year college last month. It was definitely a big year for me. Made new friends, but lost some old ones. But I guess that always happens...

End of Season Reviews
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 2
T:TSCC Season 2
Season 2, though not as consistent as the first, was still pretty great! It had some VERY strong episodes and some weak ones of course. The season started off very strong, the first 7 or 8 episodes showed a lot of promise. Unfortunately things started slipping a little mid season. These weak episodes were still a lot better than some of the best episodes produced by some shows this year though! Thankfully the show redeemed itself in the last 6 episodes, with some of the best television of the season. Cameron, as per usual, stole the show. She is most definitely the glue that holds this show together. The story of the three dots was a little confusing, and at times a little silly. However the addition of Weaver was one of the best things about the season. She was played to perfection by Shirley Manson, who maintained that creepily cold feeling through every single scene. I'm devastated that the show was cancelled, but I can't say I didn't see it coming.
Best Character: Cameron
Best Episode: Born to Run. Easily the best season finale this year. Best episode of the entire series. That creepy bedroom scene between John ad Cameron was...so....weird! The ending showed what a great third season the show could have had too.

Smallville Season 8
Smallville Season 8
Smallville season 8 was a good improvement over the previous disastrous season, though not the best yet. I loved the whole new feel to the show, and watching Allison Mack take on lead female was a delight. Davis and Tess were great additions to the cast, and the writers dealt with the departure of Lana and Lex surprisingly well. Not being an Oliver fan, I was really annoyed by his constant presence this season. The first half of the season was consistent enough, though there were one or two doozies in there, like Toxic. I loved Bride and Legion which showed what great things the writers could come up with if they actually tried hard enough. The second half was a lot weaker than the first, but the Chloe 'Beauty and the Beast' story was an entertaining twist. The season finale was a bit of a letdown and lacked the power that Smallville finales usually have. That being said the season did see an increase in standard over season 7, though I have my doubts over their ability to carry it on into season 9.
Best Character: Chloe. Duh!
Best Episode: Tie between Bride and Legion

Desperate Housewives Season 5
Desperate Housewives Season 5
Wow. What a letdown. After an amazing fourth season, this show just became dull, repetitive and just plain annoying. Bree, once one of the greatest characters, became boring and b*tchy. Lynette's storylines just seemed to happen over and over again. Believe in your husband for God's sake! Susan's love triangle was completely ridiculous and dragged out. Despite that, seeing Gaby as a mother was hilarious, and I found myself enjoying her storylines a lot more this season. It was nice to have the old Gaby back by the second half of the season though. The Dave mystery was the most predictable one yet. Yet the writers had him featured in every episode, plaguing the show till the end of the season. Edie's death was a TERRIBLE loss to the show. I really hope to see a big improvement next year. Among those things, can the mystery be connected to Gaby or Lynette for once??
Best Character: Gaby
Best Episode: If it's only in your head. Solely due to the scene with Susan trying to protect MJ.

Thanks for reading! I've been checking up on a few other reviews posted by other users. Keep em' coming! Ttfn...( Get the Buffy Reference anyone?!)

It lives...............SURPRISE!

Hello, hello!

No, rumors of my death have been greatly exagerated. How are you my friends? I have missed you terribly. RL (real life) has been a hectic B for the last 10 months. Things seem to be settling down a bit and that's given me a some time to visit and say"

HEY & LOVE YOU & MISS YOU!

I hope my 'children' have been behaving---Mom would hate to have to ground them as her first act back. My RPG'rs, I have missed you and can't wait to see what you've done with Flasha. I promise to post a longer blog soon; however, RL is paging.

Love you! Suz
