The Fall of COD's Multiplayer

I was thinking about how succesfull COD4's multiplayer has became and how it came out of nowhere and ended surprising a lot of people. I was wondering that maybe the new COD:WoW would do the same. Why? I've recently read an article about the perks and mods this time around and they seemed promising. Also, the new take on an old concept, and a more gritty look of the pacific theater. So, why is the article topic "The Fall of COD's Multiplayer"? Well, not everyone knows about the fact that this game is trying to make the whole WWII expierence different and that this is the last COD to take place in the setting, but the real big reason is because there are multiplayer games coming out that people are psyched for like: Far Cry 2 (map editor included), LittleBigPlanet, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, SOCOM:Confrontation, and Guitar Hero: World Tour, Rock Band 2 and plenty of others. And then you have single-player expirences that will catch peoples attention like: Fallout 3, Mirriors Edge, Dead Space, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Motorstorm, and Borderlands are to name a few.

I'm just wondering if maybe the amount of AAA titles that are coming out will take some of those Veterns of COD:4 to find another game that fits there taste better like SOCOM.
