What more is there to expect...it's a typical Shins album. The opening with "Caring Is Creepy" gets you revved up from the very start--but with the rest of the album you're really only happy until the middle. Tracks 5 revs up that surreal, moody dreamstate once again, with a final satisfaction by perhaps the best song on the album, track 6, New Slang.
From there on, though meandering till the end, it still leaves you in a carefree and wistful dreamstate. The album as a whole is a mix of numb, psychedelic rock--a distinct reminder of the posh British Invasion pop--and mixed with their word-for-word lyrical strings.

the kinda stuff you walk away screaming. One of the very few albums where, after listening to just the first song, I already knew I loved it and clicked replay on my player a few times before even finishing the rest of the album. High energy, nice music, powerful words and voices, girl leaders in rock, what more?
