The choices for the episode recap were:
- E5X5- Fallen Idol
- E5X6- I Believe The Children Are Our Future
- E5X7- The Curious Case of Dean Winchester
- E5X8- Changing Channels
And the winner is..........E5X8- Changing Channels..........

Sam and Dean find themselves trapped in various TV shows courtesy of the Trickster. The Trickster tells the boys if they survive 24 hours in his little game, he'll agree to think about their offer to recruit hin in trying to defeat Lucifer. Sam and Dean find themselves starring in Dean's favorite medical drama/soap opera, Dr. Sexy MD (A spoof of Grey's Anatomy). After Dean has a run in with the wife of a patient, he is shot and Sam must save his life.
(There is also a nod to SPN and Grey's alum Jeffery Dean Morgan) Next up, Sam and Dean must survuve a Japanese show. They must answer various questions, asked in Japanese, and wrong answers are penalized with a shot to the nether regions- see pics of poor Sammy. Cas tries to save the boys but is quickly banished by the Trickster. To Dean's surprise, he answers his question correctly and in Japanese!
Cut to a commercial break. Poor Sammy is the star of a Herpes treatment.
Cut to a sitcom. it seems every word that comes out of Sam and Deans mouths are hilarious and the studio audience continuosly cracks up. Cas makes it on to the stage and informs the boys that this Trickster is particularly powerful and he does not believe it's a Trickster at all. Cas is quickly gagged and vanishes. The Tricksterr arrives and tries to convince the boys to accept their destinies as Michael and Lucifer's vessels. If they don't he will kepp them in TV land forever.
The boys are starring in a procedural cop show (spoof of CSI Miami). They spot a cop sucking on a lollipop, put on their dark sunglasses (even though it's nighttime), and confront the cop thinking he's the Trickster. They stake the cop, but it's not the Trickster, he's behind them. Sam stakes him and they are released from TV land. At the motel, Sam and Dean wonder where Cas has gone. Suddenly Sam disappears. Dean gets in the Impala to search for him. The Inpala starts to talk to Dean in Sam's voice (Knight Rider). Nope, the Trickster is not dead. Sam and Dean realize that this could not be a Trickster but something much more powerful.
Sam and Dean lure the Trickster to the warehouse and trap him in the ring of fire. The Trixkster reveals that he is actually the Archangel Gabriel and he is sick and tired of al the fighting up in Heaven. He knew all along that the boys were meant to be the vessels and that's why he was so interested in them. He wants the boys to just accept their destinies so the war will be over and the boys refuse. They fore Gabriel to return Castiel and after setting off the fire sprinklers, leave Gabriel behind.
And so the Hellatus begins. No new Supernatural episodes until Jan 21 2010. Shane, looks like you'll have an easy meeting next month, only two episodes to choose from. Here's the current promo for Sam Interrupted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV4TumNbCf0
If everyone's caught with season 5 so far, you've seen the departure of fan favorites Ellen and Jo Harville last week.
Judging from Changing Channels, we should be seeing Richard Speight appearing later this season. *fingers crossed*

Holy Frak! Starbuck's A Girl!?!

Hey Peepsies! Got my internet back! ![]()

How was Halloween last week? Mine was interesting. I had to close at work so my hubby took the boys Trick or Treating. I explained where we normally go so I figured by the time I get home I would be able to meet up with them and visit my aunts houses on the way home. Well, my plan didn't didn't work out as smoothly as I hoped. Somehow my hubby took a wrong turn and ended up three miles away from our house, I had to pick them up at the U-Haul center in Kingston. Same town, but on the other side of town. Needless to say the boys were exhausted but got quite a bit candy. ![]()

So, it's finally happened. My CKR obsession has gotten me to watch Battlestar Galactica. Being 37 and a lifetime SciFi geek, I fondly remember the original Battlestar Galactica that aired in 1978-79. I can't seem to recall any episode in detail
but I do remember that Starbuck was a man, played by Dirk Benedict. Same goes for Boomer. So when the new BSG came around and I found out that Starbuck was a woman, I thought, HUH? And couldn't bring myself to watch. Big mistake! As a fan of SciFi and serialized drama, BSG has it all for me. I'm actually going to be a bit methodical regarding why I like it so.
- SciFi, duh. But not "in your face" SciFi technology-wise. They still use telephones! There are no "transporters". In order to get from here to there, one must be shuttled from ship to ship. Guns and bullets are still the weapon of choice in close combat. The "nuke" is still in use and the most devistating weapon. Man kind has not let technology take over their lives. Heck, when one wants to wite a letter, pen and paper are taken in hand. A great mix with space faring travel and good old fashioned 21st century.
- The in space battle sequences. They are, in a word, elegant. The vipers and raiders move like a graceful ballet. When combined with weapons fire, it's absolutely beautiful. The first battle sequence I watched, my mouth was literally agape. I couldn't believe how graceful it all was. Kudos to the producers.
- The music. The background music completely enhances each scene. I'm just starting on S2 and have to say I don't like the change in the opening theme. The theme for S1 was so haunting. I would watch the opening sequence just to listen to it. In S2, I skip it.

- The characters. Lots of them with lots of subplots. It can very confusing if you don't pay attention. I'm leaning towrds Helo as my favorite character at the moment. I can definately say that Gaius is my least favorite.
- The plot. After a 40 year absence, the Cylons finally make their move and exact revenge against human-kind for creating them for the purpose of slavery. Is it God's, or in the BSG universe, The Gods' revenge for humans trying to play God? The search for the fabled 13th colony Earth. Does it exist? And can the fleet keep stick together during the search and ultimately can the human race survive?

Commander William Adama, played by Edward James Olmos. Edward is an Emmy winning and Oscar nominated actor who, in the 80's, paved the way for Latin American actors. Edward is perfectly cast in the role of Cmndr Adama. Adama is extremely stoic and calm who is very passionate about his mission.

Mary McDonnell as President Laura Roslin. Mary is an Oscar and Emmy nominated actress who is from Wilkes-Barre, Pa- the city next to my hometown.
Pres Roslin is an extremely strong female character. She is thrown into the presidency and is hiding the fact that she is dying from cancer. She believes in the existance of the 13th colony Earth and will do anything to lead her people there.

Jamie Bamber as Lee "Apollo" Adama. Apollo returns to Galactica to honor his father and the legendary ship in it's decomissioning. Apollo and William have a strained relationship and struggle to work together and reconnect. As the CAG, he often disagrees with Starbuck, his dead brother's fiancee.

Katee Sackhoff as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace. Well, if this Starbuck were a man, I'd call him a flyboy. Meaning, extremely talented pilot, show off and sometimes insubordinate. So I guess she's a "flygirl"? Starbuck is haunted by the fact that got her fiancee Zak killed. She also have major disagreements with the XO and gets herself into quite a bit of hot water.

Tricia Helfer as Number 6. Number 6 is one of the Human Clone Cylons. She was key in the attack on Caprica and the destruction of the 12 Colonies. She also lives in the mind of Dr. Gaius Baltar. Like all the Human Clone Cylons, she has many copies.

James Callus as Gaius Baltar. Gaius is a scientist from Caprica. He was duped into assisting the Cylon No. 6 in destroying the 12 Colonies. At first he is devasated, but is now assisting the Cylons. No. 6 lives in his mind and he has many hallucinations/dreams involving her and they conspire against the fleet.

Grace Park as Sharon "Boomer" Valerii. Boomer is a pilot onboard Galactica. She is also a sleeper Cylon. Sharon was having a secret relationship with Chief Tyrol. She believes she is human and when she starts to remember who she really is, she doesn't want to believe it. A copy of Boomer was also sent to Caprica to seduce Helo.

Tahmoh Penikett as Karl "Helo" Agathon. Helo is another Galactica pilot. He's secretly in love with Boomer. Helo gives up his seat on the raptor in order to save Gaius and is stranded on a desolate Caprica. While on Caprica, the Boomer copy "returns" to rescue him and he is unaware that it is all a twisted experiment.

Michael Hogan as Colonel Tigh. Col Tigh is the XO of Galactica. He's an alcohalic and is always at odds with Starbuck. The return of his estranged wife is also bringing out the worst in him.

Aaron Douglas as Chief Galen Tyrol. Galen is the Deck Chief of the Galactica and is charge of maintaing the vipers and raptors. He was having a secret relationship with the Cylon Boomer but ended it when it was affecting the scurity of Galactica.

Alessandro Juliani as Felix Gaita. Lt Gaita is the Galactica's tactical officer. He's dependable and always at the ready.

Callum Keith Rennie as Leoben Conoy. Leoben is a Cylon first encountered in the mini-series and again in Flesh and Bone. He appeared in a dream Pres Roslin had. Leoben thinks of himself as a prophet and is believed to full of misinformation. He has an infatuation with Starbuck.
My favorite episodes are 1X8 Flesh and Bone, for obvious reasons, and 1X13 Kobol's Last Gleaming Pt2.

It's Official, I'm One of "Those Crazies"

Hey Peepsies! Long time no blog! I hope everyone is well. Haven't been in a "computer mood" lately, but that's changing as of now.
It's official, the crappy US economy has hit my household. Last month at work I was cut down to "part time staus". We're only allowed to have one full time person in our department and out of the 2 full timers, I have the least seniority. It's not going to affect my hours during peak season, I' still get 40+ in the Spring and Summer, and through Fall and Winter my hours are cut by "one day", 8 hours. I no longer have health benefits, vacation, time or accumulate sick time.
My husband can pick up the health benefits, open enrollment is next month, and I hardly ever take any sick time, I always get a buyout in the spring. And I actually lost 2 vacation days last year because I never go on vacation. So, in reality, no biggie. Good thing- I got a buy out on my 2 weeks vacation and 104 hours accumilated sick time in my last pay. I put a little in the bank and was able to get some extra fall clothing for the boys and get their Halloween costumes. They're going to be characters from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
I've been looking around for a part time job, but I really only want about 5-10 hours a week through the winter. So, we'll see how it goes. I also applied for partial unemployment benefits. If I get approved for that, that may work out better for me. Wish me luck. This past weekend, Evan and Tyler went to Lancaster, Pa. It was a belated Birthday gift from my In-Laws. They had a lot of fun, seems like the boys had more fun at the hotel than anywhere else. But they came home sick.
So they've been out of school for the past two days. Looks like it's just a nasty cold. Lots of coughing and a bit of a fever. Evan is definately feeling much better than Tyler. He's been quite hyper today. Tyler is a bit slower to recover.

Today is Jodie's (winterbehaviour) Birthday! She's a really sweet gal and I'm so glad to have been able to meet her through TV.com. ![]()
Let's celebrate! Balloons..........

Lots of confetti to throw around. Don't worry, I got the kids here to clean up ![]()

Don't forget to grab a piece of cake..........

And we can't forget the presents.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!

Lots of great TV to lift my spirits up. ![]()
On Dancing With the Stars- Injuries and illness. And three more couples have been eliminated, not all by voting.

In week 3, two couples left. One by viewer votes and another from injury. Debi Mazar and Maks Cmerkovsky were the couple eliminated. Maks is one of my favorite pros and I'm very sad to see him leave the competition. I had high hopes for the couple. A bit of good news though, due to Derek Hough's illness, Maks filled in and performed last night with model Joanna Krupa. Considering they only had 2 days to train with each other, they did extremely well. They probably would have had close to perfect scores if it weren't for a stumble near the end of the performance. If it weren't for Maks being such a great performer and Joanna being one of the stronger celebs, it could have turned out much worse. Maks and Joanna made a great recovery and garnered very respectable scores. Suring the week 3 results show, Tom DeLay decided to drop out of the competition due to injury. He had been competing with stress fractures in both of his feet. As much as I didn't want to like Tom, he did very well and was very likable. He had a great charm and was matched very well with Cheryl. I was actually dissapointed to hear he was dropping out, but glad he will be able to heal properly. PS. Debi made a guest star appearance on last night's episode of Castle. Nathan and Stana were also in the audience for last night's perfomances.

In week 4 I had a bit of a scare. My favorite and pre-season pick, Aaron Carter was in the bottom two and was almost eliminated. He had a sub par week and his Lambada was all over the place. Thankfully he took the judges advice and last night his Argentine Tango was spot on and one of my favorite dances of the night.. The couple that was eliminated last week was Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya. I was a little disappointed because I thought there were one or two couples who had worse performances. Anna is a great dancer and I love the way she performs the Argentine Tango and would have loved to see her dance last night.

I am absolutely loving House this season! I love that the old team is back! House, Foreman, Cameron and Chase hae incredible chemistry and work great together. Aside from that, I really can't describe all that is making me adore this show again. It's undescribable. Jennifer Morrison(Cameron) will be leaving temporarily, this was a creative decision and not permanent. (According to TVGuide). Olivia Wilde(Thirteen) is still slated to remain in a recurring role as well. ![]()

If you haven't already done so, don't forget to visit the Second Supernatural Club Meeting in Shane's (charmed1102) blog.
And speaking of Supernatural, how awesome were the last two episodes? I think I heard the collective cheers of Supernatural fans everywhere when Sam chopped off Paris Hilton's head. I was a bit nervous before watching last week's episode because it could have been a rehash of season 3's Bedtime Stories. But I should know better than to doubt Eric Kripke. The mainifestation of all those wive's tales were hilarious, expecially Dean's little problem. And the Castiel action figure was so cool. I want one! Repeat this week
New epi next week ![]()

Now to the explanation of the blog title. Thanks to Ela and Daria, I'm got a bit of an obsession with Callum Keith Rennie.
If you're a member of the W.E.N.T.H.W.O.R.T.H.M Club, Daria has nominated CKR to be the next Man of the Month. Here's the link to Penny's blog
Ela and Daria have also started a campaign to increase CKR's person score here on TV.com. If you are familiar with his work, Callum has appeared on Battlestar Galatica, Harper's Island, S3-4 of Due South, Californication and is slated to appear in Day 10 of 24, please rate/review him. He is also rumoured to possibly guest star in this season of Dollhouse. ![]()
I've made a bunch of CKR icons. ![]()
-

And speaking of CAlifornication, I've begun watching this show. Can you guess why? If you guessed because of Callum Keith Rennie in the role of Lew Ashby, you guessed right! It's pretty good show. Very funny and quite kinky. It makes me blush a lot ![]()
I made a few Misha icons as well, just for Jodie, the birthday girl. ![]()

I recently leved up, level 17, the Crazy Neighbor. That's a reference to Kramer, the crazy neighbor on the American comedy Seinfeld. I also surpassed 2,000 forum posts.
I'll catch up on all of your blogs this week.
This weekend my hubby is going to be remodeling the living room and kitchen. I'll take some pictures of the before, during and after. I'm off to east some dinner and watch TV.
Have a great week!
Later peepsies!

Uhhh, I Forgot

Hey Peepsies! How has everyone been? I'm feeling a lot better. Fall TV does a lot to pick up my spirits.
I've been watching a lot of TV lately. ![]()

I realized a few days ago I've been on TV.Com for two years. Apparently I created an account in September 2007, forgot about it until this past Febuary when I started posting on the Supernatural forums and have been active ever since. I've met so many awesome people since then. Great friends who share a love for TV. Let's celebrate!
Lots of confetti to throw around.....

Balloons.....

Party favors, make some noise!.....

Yummy cake. Hmmm, almost too pretty to eat.....

And it's not a party without a few cocktails.....

One month into the new fall season and I've already removed and added a few programs. I decided not to watch NCIS:LA. I saw the premire and wasn't really impressed. It's kind of like a slow paced 24 and I really wasnt into it.
I officially added House back on after waching the first two episodes. I'm loving it again. Bones, I'm still undecided, but I have watched the season premire and liked it.

Two weeks in and three celebrites have been eliminated. In week one Ashley Hamilton and his professional partner Edyta Sliwinska were elinated along with Macy Gray and her partner Jonathan Roberts. This week, Kathy Ireland and her professional partner Tony Dovolani were voted off. I was sad to see Ashley go mostly because Edyta is one of my favorite pros on DWTS. I'm hoping one year she'll win. I wasn't too upset to see the others leave, I wasn't a big fan of either Kathy or Macy and they weren't that good anyway. Surprisngly, Tom DeLay, American politician, is still around, despite an injury, and he's not too bad. Not real good, but surprisingly coordinated and very well matched with Cheryl Burke. My preseason pick Aaron Carter has been doing extremely well, garnering the top spot in both of the first two weeks of competition. ![]()
Week 1 & 2 eliminated celebrities-

Two episodes into the new season and I'm loving Castle. Castle and Beckett still have that incredible chemistry. After last season's cliffhanger, Castle confessing to Beckett that he investigated her mother's death, it could have been the end. But he apologized and she forgave him. Awww. I'm also liking how the supporting cast are getting more screentime and great lines. The other two detectives and the medical examiner are hilarious. Castle still has his "Writer" bulletproof vest. I love when he wears it. And he said "Bam, said the lady" in the last episode. (That's for you, Daria
) And to round everything out, Castle's home life. I love the relationship he has with his mother and especially with his daughter.
the forgotten is a new show on ABC. It stars Christian Slater and the "leader" of a network of volunteers who assist the police in identifying John/Jane Does in cases that are on the verge of being shelved and labeled unsolved. Decent show, a little slow in parts but I'm really enjoying it. I hope to see more background on the team members and their motives for volunteering in the forgotten network. Christian's character Alex has already been established as an ex-cop who's daughter went missing several years back. I'm most interested in his story and am hoping that maybe they will dedicate an episode to his daughter's case, or focus more on his character. From the previews for next week's show, it looks like we'll get more background on two of the members.

After a bit of a scattered start to the new season, Glee has picked up the pace and the last two episodes were awesome! Kurt finally got the screentime he so deserves in last week's episode Preggers. He was laugh out loud funny, brash and touched my heart. The scene where he came out to his father was so wonderful, I had tears in my eyes. Finally, last night Rachel returned to Glee Club and the performance I've been waiting for happened, Queen's Somebody to Love.

If you missed it, the McKinley High football team performing the Single Ladies dance and winning their first game in years.
From last night's episode, with a guest appearance by Pushing Daisies' Kristen Chenowith, somebody To Love

One of the best pilots of the new season was Flashforward. I wasn't really sure if I would like in the first couple of minutes. It started off like any old cop show. By the end, I was completely hooked. Will the future be exactly as the visions fortold or can it be changed now that the main players know what's coming? Who is the man who wasn't unconcious during the 2 minutes and 17 seconds the entire world had their visions of the future? Some pwople are saying Flashforward is the new Lost. I've never seen Lost so I can't say, but I do believe Flashforward will be a complete adddiction. It also doesn't hurt that Joseph Fiennes is hot!
Also starring John Cho who recently costarred in Star Trek this past summer, courtney Vance formerly of Law & Order Criminal Intent, Sonya Walger and Dominick Monaghan from Lost.

I'm still watching The Vampire Diaries. The plot is starting to move along. Bonnie is quite an interesting character. It looks like she's going to be exploring her witch heritage in the future. There's a lot of conflict between Stefan and Damon on who will win over Elena which stems from the same conflict they had over Katherine over a hundred years ago.

Supernatural! OMG! How awesome was last week's episode, Free To Be You and Me. Cas and Dean teaming up and hitten' the road. Cas imperosnating an FBI agent and holding the ID upside down ![]()
Dean taking Cas to a whorhouse. LMAO! Cas looked so scared I thought he was going to mess his pants!
I just had to include this particular screencap. Dean travels to Greeley, Pennsylvania. Yep, it's a real town. I live about and hour and half away from there.
Just a tiny lil town, if you blink, you'll miss it. Taft Memorial Hospital, however, is not a real hospital in Greeley. In fact, Greeley does not have it's own hospital. that's how small it is.

And what I thought was the most spectacular scene in Free To Be You and Me. Cas encircling Raphael in the ring of fire.

New episode tonight! Wipee! ![]()

Today I made a few more icons. Three Glee and two Supernatural. Finn is my current icon.

I also tried my hand at making a simple banner. It' ok. I really would like to find a better screenshot of the new opening sequence.

Next blog I'll continue with what I'm watching. There are too many shows to include in one blog. ![]()
Off to watch VD. Happy Supernatural Thursday peepsies!

I Love September.....

Hey Peepsies! A quick little bloggy. I'm alive, really. Haven't been on TV.Com regularly lately, been feeling kinda bleh. I think I just caught up on everybody's blogs. I've been wanting to blog, but like I said, been kinda bleh. And..........

Photobucket is being an @$$hat lately. It's taking forever to upload my pictures.

Harper's Island came out on DVD on Sept 8th. ![]()
The extras are really good. There's a featurette on how some of the main characters were cast, including Callum Keith Rennie as John Wakefield. It was also interesting to see how each death was "planned" and how the actors were informed when their time was up.

I just watched Season 1 of Dexter. What an amazing show. The writing and the character developtment is spectacular. My father gave the DVD's because he didn't care for the show. I think he's nuts! ![]()
My favorite character hands down is Dexter. Although he's a sociopath and has no empathy for his victims he's also very sympathetic because he is physically and psychologically incapable of feeleing emotion and he is bothered by it. He kills evil people because it's his way of feeling emotion, of providing justice. He feels bad because he wants to have genuine love for his girlfriend Rita but cannot. He loves her but does not know how to express it or know if he can actually feel the emotion of love. He lives his whole life performing a maquerade.
I thought the show would be a lot more violent than it really is. To tell you the truth, Harper's Island had a lot more gore. Dexter doesn't need to be gory. The writing, characters and their actions paint the picture. I still have Season 2 to watch and I'm downloading Season 3. ![]()

The new Fall Season of TV is upon us. A few shows have already started and most will be starting up again in the next two weeks.

The Glee season premire was not as good and the pilot episode shown in May. It was a little allover the place. It seemed like the writers were trying to start too many plots right off the bat. Most surprising was that Finn and Rachel kissed in that episode. Also, Will's wife announced she was pregnant and they were going to buy a very expensive new home. At the end, it was revealed it was a "hysterical pregnancy".
In last week's episode, Terri decided to continue the facade of being pregnant in order to keep Will in the marriage, Will also started an all male acapella group called "Acafellas". Josh Groban made a guest appearance. Mercedes thought she and Kurt were dating. For some reason she didn't realize he was gay And Kurt finally admitted to himself he was gay The Cherrios joined Glee Club at the suggestion of Coach Sylvester. She sent them in to destroy Glee Club from the inside but that may be backfiring. An improvement over the previous episode.

The Vampire Diaries also started two weeks ago. I'm not saying it's the best show out there, but it is catching my attention for the moment. I guess once in a while I need a little dose of teen angst. The basic plot, from what I gather, is that Stefan has returned to Mytsic Falls because his long dead true love seems to have been re-incarnated in Elena. Brother Damon is obviously the black sheep and is all about making trouble for little bro.

Dancing With The Stars Season 9 starts tonight. In fact, I'm writing this blog during the commercials. This year there are 16 celebrity contestants, the most ever. For the first time, each couple will perform two dances during the first week and there will also be a double elimination on Wednesday.

Saving the best for last. SUPERNATURAL! Season 5 started off with a bang with Sam and Dean about to witness the rising of Lucifer. All of a sudden they're whisked off to safety. Bobby gets possesed by a demon and old advesary Meg returns. Lucifer is circling his chosen vessel and Dean finds out he's destined to be the Archangel Michael's vessel. At the end, Dean tells Sam he doesn't trust him anymore and may never again. Angst!
Last week's episode brought back old friends and hunters Rufus, Ellen and Jo. We saw the appearance of the first of the Four Horseman, War, who infected a small town and made them think that demons had invaded. After defeating War, Sam and Dean part ways. Sam felt his blood addiction and Dean's mistrust would hamper their mission. More angst! And how can we forget- Cass: (referring to God) No, he's not on any flatbread. ![]()

A couple of weeks ago I tried my hand at making some icons. Nothing special, I just cropped a few pictures. Three Eric Northman(True Blood), two Dylan Bruno from Numb3rs and one Chuck/Sarah.

That's it for now. I'm getting back to DWTS and Castle is on afterwards.
Later peepsies!

First Supernatural Club Meeting

Hey Peepsies! Welcome to the first meeting of the Supernatural Club! On Thursday September 10, 2009 season five of Supernatural will begin. When we last saw the boys Ruby had tricked our Sammy into releasing Lucifer. Here's a PicRecap of Lucifer Rising.

Quick plot recap, hopeffully. Sam and Ruby catch up to Lilith's "personal chef" and torture her for info on Lilith's whereabouts. Afterr giving up the goods, the demon hibernates in her meat suit's subconcious forcing Sam to contemplate the unthinkable. Draining an innocent woman of her blood. Meanwhile, after a heated arguement with Bobby over whether Sam is worth saving and the importance of family, Dean is whisked away to a heavenly "green room". That's where Zachariah finally reveals the true mission. He and other angels have masterminded a plan to unleash Lucifer onto Earth in order to create Heaven on Earth. Those who survive will have proven themselves worthy of inhabiting Paradise. Dean, afterr a few choice insults, finally convinces Cas to turn his back on the Angels and join him in preventing the Apocalypse. Cas teleports Dean to the abandoned church where Sam and Ruby are already battling Lilith, but he's too late. Sam kills Lilith and Ruby reveals that killing Lilith was the final seal and they have released Lucifer. Sam is sickened by the turn of events. Dean busts the door open and he and Sam kill Ruby. As the episode concludes, a bright flash of light indicates iminent doom.......
Let the countdown begin! 5 days until the start of season 5. The premire episode is titled Sympathy for the Devil. (From the CW) Picking up where the finale left off, Dean and Sam watch as the Devil emerges from Hell. The brothers and Bobby deal with the aftermath of Lucifer rising and the stunning news from Chuck the Prophet that Castiel was blown to bits by the archangels. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Eric Kripke.

Season 5 news-
We're gonna see the return of a few Supernatural favorites as well as the addition of a major new character this season.
First and foremost, the casting of Mark Pellegrino in the role of fallen angel Lucifer. Mark is an accomplished actor who's most recent TV appearance was that of Jacob on Lost. He has also guest starred on many popular shows such as Chuck, Criminal Minds, Burn Notice, NYPD Blue, Prison Break and CSI.

Returning favorites! Samantha Ferris and Alona Tal are returning to reprise their roles as popular characters Ellen and Jo Harvell. Steven Williams is returning as the hilarious Rufus Turner. And wait for it...........the brunette in the promo pic. Well, that's Meg. We all remember Meg, right? Rachel Miner has been cast to revive the wildly popular demon and nemesis.

Also returning is Jim Beaver as Bobby Singer. Wouldn't have it any other way, right?

Misha Collins as Castiel. ![]()
![]()
*squees* He's slated to appear in 17 episodes, so Cas fans have no fear. I'm sure reports of his demise are just a rumor, or at the very least temporary. ![]()
![]()

Also reprising their season 4 roles are Rob Benedict as The Prophet Chuck and Kurt Fuller as the Angel Zachariah (boo!)

Season 5 promos (not the ones the CW airs coz they're lame)-
Here's a great great inteview with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke where he mentions the inclusion of The Four Horseman into season 5. Titus Welliver from Deadwood will play the role of the first horseman. He also says that God will finally have a role this season.
If anyone comes across any news/rumor just PM me or Shane (charmed1102) and we'll get into the next meeting. Shane will be hosting the next meeting in October the weekend before episode 5X5. What I was thinking is that we could vote on the episode to recap, E5X1-4, and then a lil preview of the new one. Shane and I will check back to the current meeting to tally the votes. Or I might post a "voting meeting" immediately after E5X4 to start the voting. Maybe that way all of the first four eps will have a fair shot.
I hope you enjoyed the inagural meeting of the Supernatural Club. Hopefully we all can make it a success and loads of fun. ![]()

My Fall TV Lineup + Supernatural Club

Hey Peepsies! Just a quick lil bloggy. Hopefully the lame 20,000 character limit won't affect this blog.
It's been kind of a sucky week for me, workwise. It seems everyone and their brother (and sister and mother) wanted to move this weekend. Just a couple more days and this nonsense will be over with. The good thing is that I got a little OT so that'll be nice in my check. The other day, Thursday, I took a day off for dentist and optomotrist appts for my kids and we also went out for breakfast (@Bob Evans) and dinner (@Pancheros). I also got my hair cut finally

The other day I worked out my fall TV schedule and it's jam packed. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to fit all the shows in. ![]()

Wow, I watch a lot of TV
In the past year I've given up a few shows. The CSI's. After all these years, they're getting really old, especially the original. I gave that up when I discovered Supernatural. Miami is boring me, esp with them pushing Delko and Calleigh together romantically. The only one I'm slightly interested in is NY. I'll probably end up downloading House. I wasn't really into it last season, but I hear that Chase and Cameron will have larger roles, at the beginning at least, and I'm looking forward to seeing Andre Braugher as House's shrink. I'm also looking forward to the new incarnation of the cla ssic miniseries V late fall. I'm very excited for Glee. I saw the pilot and loved it.
Oh, and I didn't forget Chuck. Season 3 won't premire until March (that's what I hear) after the Winter Olympics. In January I add 24 to my DVR list. American Idol also starts up in January. But that's winter and I'm getting off track. This edit is occuring @1:30 am and I now have insomnia because I was asleep and a noise woke me up and now I can't sleep. And I think I'm rambling now so I'll shut up and try to go back to sleep cause i have to work tomorrow and it's gonna suck, I just know it. And I'll shut up now.

I finally finished downloading Dollhouse and watched episodes 1-5. So far I'm loving it and I hear it gets much better from this point on. I added Dollhouse to my fall viewing schedule. Live viewing, no DVR or downloading, although I may download it anyway if the new season warrents it. ![]()

So, Shane (charmed1102) and I were talking last week about forming a Supernatural Club since The66Seals apparently violated TOS. What we'll do is have a monthly blog meeting, feature one recent episode which members would vote on during the previous meeting. We'll also have lots of pictures and SPN news. Does anyone think this is a good idea? We'd like to get as many members as possible so it'll be more fun for everyone. ![]()
I was already planning on recapping Lucifer Rising the week the new season is premiring so that'll be the first meeting and then as the month goes on everyone can vote on which new episode will he featured for the next meeting. Shane and I will split hosting duties.
MEMBERS:
- charmed1102 (Shane)- Co-President

- pumacat7 (Shelly)
Shane, I hope you don't mind that I put us as Co-Presidents of the Supernatural Club.
Anyone who wants to join just put in the comments and I'll update the list and keep track of the members. I guess I'll suggest that if anyone has news that should be included in the next meeting that they should PM either me or Shane and we'll get it in. News does not necessarily have to show related, in fact, anything involving the stars/guest stars would do.
Here's a little teaser for season 5. The song Oh Death has been featured in the promos for the new season. Everyone seems to be loving this song. It's quite haunting and perfectly appropriate for the show.
Speaking of clubs, if you're a member of the W.E.N.T.W.O.R.T.H.M Club, there's still time to vote for the September Man of the Month.
- The nominees are:
- Alexander Skarsgard
- Jeffrey Donovan
- Jared Padalecki
- Ed Westwick

Thanks to everyone who commented on my last blog, Dancing With The Stars S9. Especially those who don't watch/hate reality shows. I really appreciate it. See ya later peepsies!

They're All Crazy Dancing Machines

Hey Peepsies!

Dancing With The Stars S9 will begin on Sept 21st. The celebrity cast was recently announced. I don't know why, but celebrities learning ballroom dancing is quite addiciting. And in the past few years the level of talent is absolutely amazing. During S8, TV.Com's DWTS editor asked me to do recaps. ![]()
The cast of Dancing With The Stars Season 9:

Aaron Carter & his partner Karina Smirnoff.
Aaron is an American singer & my pre-season pick for season 9. My biggest wish is for a Backstreet Boy to compete on DWTS. Since BSB is preparing for a new tour, they're busy, Aaron is a great choice & a fine compromise. Too bad his partner is Karina b/c I just don't like her. But she's an excellent dancer &I just know they will do well. Aaron has a bit of an advantage in that he is a performer who has incorperated dance into his stage show.

Natalie Coughlin & her partner Alec Mazo.
Natalie is an American swimmer & Olympic gold medalist. Her partner is Alec Mazo, who was the DWTS S1 champion partnering with Kelly Monaco. Natalie has two main advantages: being a champion athlete & having a former DWTS champion as her partner. I see her going far in the competition, top 5.

Mark Descascos & his partner Lacey Schwimmer.
Mark is the Chairman of Iron Chef America on the Food Network. He is an actor who has guest starred on CSI. Lacey who won So You Can Think You Can Dance? She is one of several SYTYCD contestants to find a home on DWTS. Lacey is one of my favorite pros on the show. Mark's advantage will be that Lacey is a great teacher & has a lot of flair. His acting experiance should be a plus with the more dramatic dances. I'm not sure Lacey will be enough to carry them all the way. I'm predicting middle of the pack at best.

Tom DeLay & his partner Cheryl Burke.
Tom DeLay is a former congressman & was forced to resign his position of House Majority Leader. His partner is 2 time DWTS champion Cheryl Burke, who partnered with Drew Lachey & Emmit Smith to win back to back championships. It doesn't look like Tom has any dance experiance what-so-ever & his only advantage will be having 2 time champ Cheryl by his side. My prediction is that Tom is voted off in the first week.

Macy Gray & her partner Jonathan Roberts.
Macy is an American R&B singer. I'm not a fan of her music so I don't know much about her or if she has any dance experience. Jonathan has never made it past the halfway point of DWTS as far as I know but he is a very good dancer. He had a great moment in S6 when he had to fill in for his injured wife Anna T and perform a Tango with Steve Guttenberg. I don't see them making it past the halfway point.

Melissa Joan Hart & her partner Mark Ballas.
Melissa is a well known American actress who's biggest role was on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. She has recently been focusing on raising her chidren. Her partner is 2 time champion Mark Ballas, who took Kristi Yamaguchi & Shawn Johnson to DWTS glory. Melissa reminds me a lot of Jennie Garth who competed on S5. She will probably surprise everyone and has a huge advantage in having a 2 time champ in her corner. I think a definate to make the top half.

Kathy Ireland & her partner Tony Dovolani.
Kathy is an American model & actress with a line of affordable clothing that is sold at K-Mart. Tony is one of my favorite pros and I'm wishing that one season he'll make it to the top & capture the mirrorball trophy. I don't think it will happen this season though. Even with a wonderful partner like Tony, I think Kathy will fall victim to the curse that most models who compete on DWTS have, no coordination. I don't see her making it out of the first half of the competition.

Michael Irvin & his partner Anna Demidova.
Michael Irvan is a retired football player who has won a Super Bowl Championship. He is a former teammate of DWTS S3 champion Emmit Smith. Anna is the new pro this year. She won the competition last season for her spot. In the past, football players have done amazingly well, with 5 making it to the top 3. It will be interesting to see if Anna can continue the tradition of guiding football players to the top. They should make it to the top half.

Ashley Hamilton & his partner Edyta Sliwinska.
Ashley is an Amercian actor who is the son of George Hamilton, an actor who is probably more famous for his tan than his acting &also a former DWTS contestant. His partner is Edyta Sliwinska, who has come very close to winning in the past, w/ Joey Lawrence & Jason Taylor. She is one of my favorite pros. Edyta is a very talented dancer & is the wife of pro Alec Mazo. I think Edyta and Ashley will make it far in the competition but I'm not confident in them winning. Top half, possibly top 5 material.

Joanna Krupa & her partner Derek Hough.
Joanna is a Polish model/reality star. I have never heard of her so I can't say anything about her ability. Derek is the S7 champ, partnering with Brooke Burke & the brother of 2 time champ Julianne Hough. Joanna's advantage is having Derek as her partner. Derek has taken each celebrity partner to the top 5 in every season he has competed in. They should make into the top half if Joanna doesn't fall into the uncoordinated model trap.

Chuck Liddell & his partner Anna Trebunskaya.
Chuck is an American mixed martial arts champion. He is extremely athletic & disciplined. This I believe will be a great advantage for him but I'm not sure about his flexibilty or coordination when it will come to the dance floor. His partner is Anna Trebunskaya, wife of pro Jonanthan Roberts. Anna is a very good dancer who seems to get stuck with mediocre partners. Chuck can go either way here. He will either tank or surprise us like Layla Ali did in S4 and run all over the competition.

Debi Mazar & her partner Maks Chmerkovsky.
Debi is an American actress most known for her cl@sic 40's look. She has guest starred on many TV programs, most recently on Burn Notice. She also appears regularly on Entourage. Not sure if she has any dance experience or is coordinated in any way. Her partner Maks is, again, one of my favorite pros. He is very talented & HOT! He is also engaged to fellow DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff.
Debi & Maks should look stunning together, with their height & good looks. I'm predicting middle of the pack.

Mya & her partner Dmitry Chaplin.
Mya is an American singer & actress. She performed with Christina Aguilera, Pink & former DWTS contestant Lil' Kim on the single Lady Marmalade from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. She also appeared in Chicago & guest starred on NCIS. Dmitry made his DWTS debut in S8, partnering with Playboy bunny Holly Madison. Needless to say, Dmitry did not last long. He & Mya should be a better match. They may be the surprise of the season.

Kelly Osbourne & her partner Louis Van Amstel.
Kelly is an British actress & reality show star. Her parents are singer Ozzy Osbourne and reality show star/host Sharon Osbourne. Finally, Louis is back to compete on DWTS. The last time he competed was in S6 when he partnered with Priscilla Presley. In S8 Louie came back for some special performaces that he choreographed. Kelly, with limited dance experience, has a terrific partner & may surprise us. I'm predicting middle of the pack.

Donny Osmond & his partner Kym Johnson.
Donny is an American peformer who is most known for being part of the iconic Osmond family. He and his brothers formed the musical group The Osmond Brothers & he was the co-host of the Donny and Marie variety show in the 70's. Marie was herself a contestant in S5 of DWTS. Kym has previously competed with S4 runner up Joey Fatone & talk Show host Jerry Springer. Not sure what to think of the pairing but I'm predicting bottom half.

Louie Vito & his partner Chelsie Hightower.
Louie is a professional snowboader who competed in the 06 Winter XGames. Chelsie made her DWTS debut in S8 & took rodeo champion Ty Murray to a surprising 4th place. By all accounts, Louie is a darkhorse, but with Chelsie's determination, they may surprise us all. My prediction is bottom half but again, they may surprise us.
There's the lineup for DWTS S9. I for one am very excited. DWTS is one of my guilty pleasures.

Now that Aaron Carter is officially on DWTS, I've been in a Backstreet Boys mood. I'm such a boyband geek.
I saw BSB in concert last winter and they were a pleasant surprise. I was really hoping that the show wouldn't be filled with a lot of unnecessary dancers, costumes & crap that would take away from the music. BSB has definately toned down their live show & I totally enjoyed myself. They're releasing a new album, This Is Us, 10/6, & are starting the European leg of a new tour in the fall. I would definately see them again if they came to my town. ![]()
New single- Straight Through My Heart
One of my favorite songs- Incomplete

Up For Some Action and Real American Heroes

Hey Peepsies! How's your week going? It's been mad crazy and busy at work this week. In a way that's good because that definately means I'll get paid. lol: I get paid no matter what, but more customers is a good thing and when you think about, customers are ultimately responsable for my paycheck. It's nice to have a Friday off during the busy season. *wipes brow* My kids have one more week of summer camp after today. After that they have one more week off from school so I'll have to sign them up for a few days of mini-camp and try to get a couple of weekdays off from work. Evan went to NayAug Park in Scranton (Home of The Office) on Monday and Tyler is going bowling today. They look forward to the CYC summer camp every year and I'm so glad it's available. It really eases my mind when it comes to day care in the summer since both me and my husband work full time.
We finally got a letter from my step-son Steven, if you didn't know, he's away at boot camp until December. He's adjusting well and apparently is getting high praise from one of his drill instructors for diligently following instructions.
Evan and Tyler each wrote him a letter back. They're so funny cause they asked if he was having fun.
They also told him he was the best brother in the world. Awwww.

This past Sunday the boys and I saw GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra at the drive-in. We didn't stick around for the second movie since it was Transformers 2. We already saw that and had to get home early for work and camp on Monday. This summer has been a great one for action blockbusters. I'm an action movie fanatic and have been in heaven. GI Joe did not disappoint.

I remember being a kid in the 80's and watching the cartoon version of GI Joe. When I found out the live action movie version was being released this summer I was so excited. All the main characters were in the movie, including my favorites Snake Eyes and Duke. ![]()
The main plot centered around an arms manufacturer who was selling his newest weapon to both sides. The weapon is a nanotechnology based warhead capable of destroying entire cities. GI Joe, an secret militarty operation that employs the best and brightest soldiers and technology, is dispatched to neutralize the threat. Standing in the way is The Baroness (Anna) and Cobra Commander, the former fiancee of GI Joe Duke and her brother whom was believed dead. The movie moves along at breakneck speed loaded with tons of action sequences and awesome special effects. There's even a smattering of romance as Anna realizes she has been "brainwashed", implanted with nanomites, comes back over to the good side and reconnects with Duke. I'm not going to give away the entire movie, but as it concludes you can assume there will be a sequel. Yipee! ![]()
![]()

Above are some of the stars of the movie. 1)Channing Tatum as Duke. Dennis Quaid as General Hawk. 3) Ray Park as SnakeEyes. 4) Byung-Hun Lee as Storm Shadow and Sienna Miller as The Baroness/Anna. 5) Christopher Eccleston as McCullen/Destro. 6) marlon Wayans as Ripcord. 7) Rachel Nicols as Scarlett. 8 ) Said Taghmaoui as Breaker. 9) Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Heavy Duty. 10) Karolina Kurkova as Cover Girl. Also starring but no piccies
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as The Doctor/Rex/Cobra Commander and Arnold Voosloo as Zartan.
Below are some screencaps. There's an underwater scene that at first glance on screen looked like an aerial scene. Quite amazing. The mechanized suits Duke and Ripcord wear are pretty cool as well. One of the scenes was shot in Paris and it's quite beautiful, before the Eiffel Tower collapses anyway.

I actually didn't think I was in the mood to discuss what I watched this week but after I posted the banners I got really inspired. So be warned, mega spoilers ahead.

Saving Grace and HawthoRNe had two wonderful episodes again this week. See previous blog on my feelings for the current season of these two shows. Click Here

The Closer is having another great season as well. Brenda's niece Charlie has been staying with her and Fritz. Charlie's a bit of a wild child and her parents have all but given up on her and has totally frustrated her grandmother, Brenda's mom Willie Ray. So Brenda and Fritz have agreed to give her a chance, or two, or three. Strike one had Charlie making marijuanna brownies and Brenda ate a few of them. Fritz, a recovering alcohalic, completely flipped out and kicked her out. The plane ticket was purchased and Charlie's bags were packed. Brenda, who initially didn't want her there in the first place, convinced Fritz to give her another chance. Her reasoning was that everybody else has given up on her and if they do she'll never come back onto the right path. Fritz has mentioned quite a few times this season his desire to start a family and Brenda feels that this will be a learning experiance for them as well.

Tonight is the 2 hour season finale of Mental.
Jack's sister has finally turned up and Jack has been clashing with his step-father on what the best course of action and enviroment would benefit Becky's recovery the most. Jack wants her to stay in LA so he can oversee her treatment and his parents have already decided that she should be moved to Florida so they can be near to her. A hallmark of Mental is the personification the patient's illnesses. Becky's schizophrenia is personified by a young man with whom she speaks with. Hopefully tonight we find out who this young man represents in her mind.
MENTAL SEASON FINALE TONIGHT 8/14/2009 ON FOX 8PM

I've also started watching Flashpoint again. I really have no idea why I even stopped watching, it's really a very good show. Last week's repeat episode centered on a school hostage situation. The hostage taker/shooter was a boy who was being harassed by some jerky jock bullies. It was extremely tense, emotional and pertinant to current events. I just need to remember to DVR the show in case I don't have time to watch. FYI, the series is filmed in Toronto Canada.

The In Plain Sight season finale aired on Sunday. It was another great episode in a stellar sophomore season for this excellent show. Mary was protecting a political "refugee?" that the US government was hiding in order to turn the balance of power in some South American country. The woman decided to move herself out of the mansion the gov't put her up in to a really crappy, dangerous neighborhood because "her people" lived there. Mary being Mary and willing to put herself in the line of fire to protect her witness gets shot. As Mary hangs on to life by a thread, her family and co-workers are wracked with grief and emotion and race to find the shooter. Wonderful performance by Frederick Weller as Marshal Marshall Mann. Marshall's emotional breakdown was gutwrenching. Thank goodness for In Plain Sight as a summer series to combat the boredom and monotany of reruns but it's going to seem like a lifetime for the new season to begin.

Last week the mid season finale of Burn Notice aired. I thought it was quite good and cannot wait until it starts back up in the winter. Fi was the damsel in distress, her brother was in town and Michael realized that Fi was more important to him than he thought. At the conclusion of the episode Michael was contacted by a new nemesis. Can't wait to see who this new player is. ![]()
Paul Blackthorne guest starred as Fi's old enemy come back for revenge.

True Blood has certainly exceeded my expectaions this season.
I am officially obsessed.
Eric is now my favorite character, followed by Godrick. Godrick is so captivating. The only thing I'm really disappointed with is the dragging out of the Marianne plot. Maybe if they didn't incorperate it into every episode I may not have tired of it so quickly.

27 days until Supernatural Season 5 begins! Let the squeeeing begin. I've recently started a Supernatural rewatch in anticipation. The CW has also been airing two S4 episodes on Thursday nights. ![]()

One of my all time favorite bands is the Eagles. They're an american rock band that has been together for 40 years. I saw them in concert in 2004 during their Farewell 1 Tour. The title of their tour was a tongue in cheek reference to musical acts who do "farewell tours" but end up not retiring and tour again.

The Eagles are known for their impecable harmonies which they practice on a continual basis.
Their biggest hit Hotel California
One of my favorites, from the Farewell 1 Tour, Lyin' Eyes
From their most recent release, Long Road Out of Eden, How Long
I've also recently leveled up, level 15 Ginsu Knife. The reference is from the commercials/infomercials for the "japanese" knife set tht are supposedly indestructable.
I hope everyone enjoys the weekend.
Later, peepsies!

Congratulations to Rebecca (Clemontine) for her "Stargate Introductory Guide" blog being featured on TV.Com's home page. Linkage She worked really hard on it and it's so nice to see that hard work pay off.
The nominations are official. Don't forget to vote for your favorites in mackymacaspac's Memmy's.

True Blood has been absolutely brilliant this season. I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Eric as each episode airs. I'm also wondering what his interest in Sookie is. Very curious. We finally met Godrick, briefly, at the end of the last episode and I can't wait until the next. Finally, Jason is starting to show some of his old self. My wish has come true and he started up an affair with the minister's wife. Was that wrong of me?
Hoyt and Jessica make such a cute couple. My theory about Marianne was right, I knew she was after Sam for some reason. We just need to know why. And she's also the horned creature that attacked Sookie.

A very pleasant surprise for me this summer is HawthoRNe, airing on TNT Tuesday nights. I'm not the biggest fan of medical dramas, I have no idea why, I just don't watch them. But HawthoRNe has my attention every week. The biggest draw for me is the focus on the nurses as opposed to the doctors. We rarely see nurses get any attention on TV and that's a shame because they work their @$$es off and get very little credit. There are a couple of characters I don't care for. The blond Barbie Candy has no point. She seems to be there to provide eye candy and someone for Ray to drool over. Ray is the lone male nurse and I do like him a lot. The other character I'm not a fan of is Kelly. She's new to the profession and gets really frustrated and cries a lot. She's much too whiney for my taste. Jada Pinkett-Smith, Will Smith's wife, plays the main character Chistina Hawthorne who is the Chief Nursing Officer of the hospital, who is so dedicated to her patients she often gets herself into hot water and bends the rules quite a bit. She's a widow struggling to raise her rebellious teenage daughter on her own. Michael Vartan, formerly Vaughn on Alias, plays Tom, the only doctor who is a regular character. He seems to be the one who has to remind Chistina that there are rules that need to be followed and puts her back on the straight and narrow. Bobbi is one of my favorite nurses, she's very compassionate and no nonsense at the same time. She is also intriguing in that she has a physical handicap, she has an artificial leg, and has a unique perspective in treating some of her patients. Sarah Lancaster, Ellie from Chuck, guest starred in this week's episode. It was a small part but showed a different side to the actress, much more dramatic than her role on Chuck.

Season 3 has definately been the best season of Saving Grace by far. Grace has grown so much as a person since the beginning of the series. In the first season there were many times when Grace was just plain unlikable. She was extremedly promiscuous and slept with anyone and everyone. She was always totally wasted and I wondered how she even made it to work every day. She fought Earl tooth and nail. In the second season she began to at least accept Earl as a part of her life and let him guide her along. She even made more of a commitment to Ham as a partner and in their relationship. This season Grace is much more compassionate and she really looks to Earl for guidance and protection. Grace is providing comfort to her best friend Rhetta in the wake of auctioning off her family farm and discovering her husband has strarted and affair. She's also in search of a woman whom Earl wants to help in the same way he's helping Grace.

Mental is still one of my favorites this summer. Last week, Jack's sister Becky finally reappeared.
WATCH MENTAL FRIDAY NIGHT AT 9 ON FOX

Tonight is the summer season finale of Burn Notice and it looks like it's gonna be explosive.

Season 5 of Supernatural starts in 35 days! Yipee!

Another one of my favorite bands is Live. They hail from York Pa which is about 2.5 hours from where I live. They had most of their sucsess in the mid 90's and still continue to record, tour and are sone of the most resected rock bands/writers in the industry. Chris Daughtry has said that Ed Kowalchyk is one of his biggest influences.

Their latest album is "Live at the Paradiso" which contains two new studio tracks, one being the fabululous Forever.
One of their biggest hits is Lightning Crashes from their Throwing Copper album.
Another great song is The Dolphin's Cry off of the Radiant Sea album.
Penny (tusiopsseries) said she will be putting up the 15th W.E.N.T.W.O.R.T.H.M. Club meeting this weekend. If you enjoy yummy men feel free to join, we'd be glad to have you. Last month's meeting EDIT This month's meeting

Do You Take Sugar? One Lump or Two?

Hey peepsies! Finally, I'm finally feeling the motivation to blog.
Work has been very busy, the phones have been ringing off the hook. Last Saturday was my cousin's son's graduation party. I feel old cause I remember Billy as a sweet little boy and now he's a man.
I stayed a bit longer at the party than I planned, it's good to spend time with my family, I don't do that often enough. The bad thing was I got mooned by my uncle and now I'm traumatized for life. ![]()
Today is July 4th/Independence Day. Happy Birthday America!

There's going to be cookouts, parties and fireworks all weekend. I have to work
but I think I will take my boys to the drive in. We'll see either Transformers 2 or the Ice Age /Night at the Museum.

Sunday was the Def Leppard/Poison/Cheap Trick concert I've been so excited about.
What a night I tell ya! It was a beautiful day all around until we arrived at the venue. Montage Mountain is an outdoor faciltiy with a lawn area, where our tickets were for. As soon as we got there it started raining.
We were also told no cameras allowed!
I contemplated sneaking my camera in but I saw security personel patroling the facility and they were confiscating cameras from repeat offenders.
No piccies, sorry.
It rained for two hours and we were all pretty much soaked. Like a miracle, as soon as Def Leppard hit the stage, it stopped. Whoo-hoo!
The first opening act was Cheap Trick.

They played their biggest hits and the crowd really got into the set.
Next up was Poison. One of my favorite "hair bands" from the 90's.

YouTube vid from the concert- Every Rose Has It's Thorn
Do You Wanna Get Rocked!? The main attraction, Def Leppard!

I can now die happy, I saw Def Leppard live in concert! The totally rocked the Mountain! They did a 30 year retrospective with all their biggest hits and the single from the new album Songs From the Sparkle Lounge, C'mon C'mon. And in my personal opinion, Rick Allen is the best rock drummer in the biz. The man can outdrum anyone, with only one arm!

*sighs* Just a question (and Memmys)
Hey Peepsies!
This is going to be lame.
I had a really busy weekend at work and of course after work had to run out here and there and everywhere, so I'm beat (still). I'll do a real blog in a couple of days. (Def Leppard was awesome BTW).
The question--
Since there's nothing on TV tonight, what DVD should I finish off?
1) Chuck Season 1
1) True Blood Season 1
Keep in mind I've never seen any of them before.

Hey Peepsies! It's Summer! Edit+Michael Jackson

Hey there peepsies! Finally, Summer is official. Like peepsies? Mackymacaspac invented it and now it's one of my new favorite words. ![]()

Ahhh, summer. the boys are out of school and that means the CYC Summer Camp. I've been sending Evan and Tyler to this Summer/Day Camp for four years now and they love it.
Every year they look forward to it and are now talking about becoming counselors when they get old enough.
Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm they're there and it runs for 10 weeks. There's lots of activities, swimming, crafts, field trips and plain ole fun.
A couple of things Tyler made. I don't know what Evan does with his stuff.

And yes, that says "Evil Tyler".
Like mother, like son. ![]()

Piccie of my lazy kitty, Midnight.

Three years ago, Midnight "adopted" us. She "belonged" to the family across the street but they didn't take care of her. She was always outside and was never allowed in to even get food.
We fed her a few times and she would come in to visit or get out of the weather. After a while, she never left. Now she's very spoiled and rules the house.

Here it is, my now weekly Official "Unofficial Watch Mental Campaign". I'm hoping to get more peepsies to at least give Mental a shot. so far I've convinced a few peepsies to watch and haven't heard "I hate it", which to me is good news. I've also temporarily changed my icon and banner.
Episode 1X5: Roles of Engagement. The patient is a famous actor who had a psychotic episode on a late night talk show. The evil Dr Carl Bell wins the role of attending physician, he drew the highest card, and immediately decides the problem is drug addiction. Ian displays evidence of hallucinations and severe mood swings and Jack is skeptical. After getting a copy of the script to Ian's next movie, Jack realizes that it's a publicity stunt and Ian is faking, brilliantly. However, Jack is not 100% convinced that the entire performance was faked. He looks at the footage for the talk show and realizes that there is a problem and Ian may be a ticking time bomb. Jack hypnotizes Ian who reveals a dark secret from his past and agrees to start therapy. Nora is celebrating the anniversary of her divorce and during a girls' night out, Veronica reveals that she's having an affair with one of the other doctors. Nora also confesses that she and Jack had a fling a while back and that she's still attracted to him.

Watch Mental Friday Night at 9PM on FOX

Episode 2X9: What's Bugging Mary. Stellar episode! Very emotional and raw. Mary's sister is arrested for interstate drug trafficing and murder by the evil, vendictive and annoying Agt OConner of the FBI. Last season OConner started a vendetta against Mary and her entire family which carried into this season. Mary and Brandi's mother finally decides to take a stand and act like an adult and mother to her daughter. She calls Brandi's boyfriend Peter who was able to get his lawyer to represent Brandi. Mary, not being able to stand aside either, recruits the entire WITSEC office into investigating OConner's supposed evidence. Despite some abuse from Mary, Eleanor finds a lead in New Jersey, where OConner is from, and Marshall goes to investigate. (Marshall actually says 'I'm Marshal Marhsall"
) It turns out on the day of a drug raid, OConner swapped assignments with another agent, had an affair with his wife and the agent was killed during the raid. OConner was transferring his guilt into the vendetta. Evil! ![]()
Hopefully this the last we'll see of Agent OConner. In this eppie, Mary finds out about her father and half-sister. Christian DeLaFuente also makes an appearance as Mary's boyfriend Raphael. He seems to be getting a larger role this season which is nice.

Last night was an excellent episode of Saving Grace. Episode 3X2: She's a Lump. The title reminded me of a song by the Presidents of the United States of America, called Lump. A recovering alcoholic is found hanged at the local AA meeting place. In the course of the investigation, Grace must go undercover as a recovering alcoholic. She befriends the sponsor of the victim and gets her drunk in order to get critical information from her. The woman was sober for almost four years and was, understandably, very angry at Grace. Meanwhile, financial troubles are affecting Rhetta, the medical examiner and Grace's best friend, and she is forced to sell the farm that's been in her family for over a century. Neely is still in a coma and Grace has been visiting her regularly. She's not sure what to do, but Earl is pleased anyway. Haha, in one the first scenes, Grace tells Earl that "she's a lump" hence the title of the eppie. I LMAO. During one visit Grace tries to make all kinds of goofy noises and such in hopes that Neely can hear her or wake up. It was very touching and normally out of character, Earl's good influence.

Well, it was bound to happen and the announcement was made Monday night. Jon and Kate Gosselin are getting a divorce! That was probably the most interesting thing in the entire 1 hour episode. Again with the extravagant purchases. The Gosselins bought "Crooked Houses" for the kids, four of them. Crooked Houses are custom built club houses, seriously, in these tough financial times why would a family that knows what it is to worry about putting food on the table but something like that? I felt it was unnecessary. I felt the same way about the custom built chopper, hard earned money down the drain. How I miss the good old days when we saw the daily life of a real family who had the same concerns the rest of us have, only with more kids. Next week is a "retrospective" on the Gosselin's 10 years together. Hmmm, can we say uncomfortable?
Some piccies. A few from happier times and one more recent. As you can see, Jon and Kate don't want anything to do with each other.

Apparently the show must go on. Jon is moving out and has ben rumored to be apartment hunting in New York City. Kate stated Monday night that she has no intention of not spending holidays and birthdays with the kids. Can we say nasty divorce? And the interviews for the show will be sone seperately. Duh, it's been like that all season.

Last blog, ela and I were talking about how we love the late Johnny Cash. If you haven't, I recommend that you watch Walk the Line. A wonderful movie about the early career of Johnny Cash and his courtship with June. Johnny Cash was a man ahead of his time. His music is extraordinary and timeless. I consider him country, but he really can't be contained in one genre.

My favorite Johnny Cash song Ring of Fire
Johnny and June singing Jackson
From Walk the Line, Joaquin and Reese singing Time's a Wastin'
Earlier tonight, the world found out about the death of pop icon Michael Jackson. Personal stuff aside, Michael Jackson was one of the most influential artists in history with dozens upon dozens of hit songs and millions of records sold. I remember getting my copy of Thriller when I was a little girl. I want to remember Michael as the brilliant singer and songwriter that he was.

The Jackson Five Never Can Say Goodbye
The Jackson Five ABC
My all time favorite Michael Jackson song Billie Jean
Michael Jackson Thriller
I wanted to include last week's Burn Notice, but the site I use for screencaps isn't working very well tonight so I can't see if I can snag any caps.
I got disc 5 of True Blood S1 in the mail today from Blockubuster, so I'm almost finished watching. It's a really good show, and like MovieMark said, kinky. But we like it like that.
I still have a couple of eppies of Chuck S1 to watch and from what I hear, they're gonna be great. Last week I watched the series premire of HawthoRNe on TNT. It was okay and I have episode 2 on my DVR. If I like that one I'll discuss it next blog. Michael Vartan, from Alias, co-stars and that's a big reason I tuned in. Jada Pinkett-smith is the star.
The other day I noticed I went up a level. Level 13, Regal Beagle, a reference from the show Three's Company which aired in the late 70's and early 80's. The Regal Beagle was the pub the gang hung out in. I also surpassed 1,000 forum posts. Yay me! If anyone wants a birthday mention, cake and a present, just let me know. Send me a PM about a week in advance. I'd be glad to oblige for my TV.com peepsies!

Weddings, Birthdays and Chuck, Oh My

How is eveybody on this lovely, lazy Sunday afternoon? Here in the states it's Father's Day. to all the dads out there-

Yesterday, my step-son's brother (confused yet?) got married. My husband and I get along very well with his ex-wife, I even work with her. Mike has been a part of the family since he was 2 years old and he's a great kid. Mike and Amanda's wedding was beautiful and I wish them all the luck in the world.

The last picture is my step-son Steven and his girlfriend Kayla. Kayla's really sweet and I still don't know what she sees in him ![]()

Today is my newest TV.com friend's birthday. Happy Birthday Tish! I'm so glad I met you and am sure we will become very good friends. Some presents--I hope you're not sick of cake and I'm positive you're not sick of Adam! Sorry if the piccies are wet *wipes drool from chin*

I know this is really old, but bearded Adam is so HOT!
Silly Casey from Chuck Season 1.

And a little vid I found on YouTube. Adam

One of my new favorite shows is Chuck and I've been having a Season 1 Chuck-a-thon all weekend and have seen Epsisodes 1X1-10. Chuck and Casey are definately my favorite characters.
My son Evan likes Chuck and Morgan because they're really funny. Currently, my two favorite episodes from S1 are Chuck V the Truth and Chuck V the Imported Hard Salami. I love those eppies because that's when Sarah starts to show her true feelings for Chuck and the fights they have. Their fights are masks for their feelings for each other and they wouldn't have them if they didn't care for each other. And Chuck V the Imported Hard Salami has the first real kiss between Sarah and Chuck. Awwwww. My favorite moment from S1 thus far. Of sourse Casey has some great moments and my favorite is in the same eppie when he gives Chuck the rose and tells him he needs it in order to get laid.

I've been watching True Blood on DVD and it's very good. Sexy and suspensful with some humor thrown in. Uh, it's one of those shows I can't watch with my kids around so it's been slow going, an eppie here and there. Jason is definately the funniest for me. He's such a horndog! His tightie-whitie dance in Lafayette's living room and his, eh-hem "problem". And now I'm up to the part where's he's becoming addicted to V and Tara is p!ssed at him. Sookie also broke up with Bill and went out with Sam. Although I like Bill's character, I'm really not grooving on the actor. Haha, I don't even know his name. There's just a big disconnect for me. Oh well. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Eric. Oh, and Lafayette is a hoot as well. I love the "AIDS burger" scene. ![]()

I've been really enjoying the new season of In Plain Sight.
Ep 2X7 focused on Mary's partner Marshall and one of his witnesses. The witness was in WITSEC because he testified against a contractor who used sub-par materials to build a bridge which collapsed. It turned out while he was in protection, he was living a double life and going over the plans for every single bridge he ever designed. He realized he had a made a small mistake in his calculations early in his career which affected all of his designs. He ended up blowing up one of his own bridges along with himself. Turning the focus onto Marshall was a welcome and overdue change of pace. He and Mary have such gret chemistry but sometimes it seems a little one sided because all the cases usually revolve around her.
Ep 2X8 focused on some poor schmuck who was always in the wrong place at the wrong time. I need to point out a goof in the episode. The opening scene is set in a prison in Stroudsburg Pa, which is an hour away from me and I know it well. Well, they spelled the city wrong, Stroudsberg, and I'm pretty sure there's no desert in the Pocono mountains of Pennsylvania. Any way, although the witness seems really shady, Mary gets him a job with one of her good friends who ends up dead, he really is some poor schmuck who's always in the wrong place at the wrong time. More importantly, Mary has a haf sister! Laura Prepon fom That 70's Show plays the half sister and she's perfect for the role. I hope to see her again in the future.

I am totally obesessed with Harper's Island. Saturday Ep 1X10: Snap aired. There are only THREE more episodes left and then it's over forever, that's what I hear any way. Supes, I know your'e an episode behind me so I'm not gooing to reveal too much, but you still may want to skip this anyway.
Well, a lot of us HI fans' theories werre completely dashed when 2 of our main suspects bit the dust. Someone has also returned from the dead, which probably puts Abby in danger.

I can't wait till next week to see if my current theory holds any water. Too bad I'm not enjoying the HI forum as much anymore as someone there is just being a jerk and refuses to let anyone have fun with our theorizing. I've been thinking of leaving the forum alltogether, but I think I'm just going to try to ingnore this person and hopefully that works. Wish me luck.

As a lot of you know by now, I love music. All kinds, except for most rap and anything where they scream and yell so much you can't understand what they're screaming. Last year I went to see Brad Paisley, Journey/Heart/Cheap Trick, Daughtry and Backstreet Boys. This year I've already seen New Kids on the Block and next Sunday is Def Leppard/Poison/Cheap Trick. Nickleback is in July and I'm saving up for Dave Matthews Band in September. I may also get tix for Styx/REO Speedwagon. My hubby plans on seeing Asia again this summer.

In 2007 I saw Keith Urban with my friend Tammy, the afore mentioned husband's ex-wife. I told ya we were friends! We also saw Brad Paisley and Daughtry together. Keith puts on an amazing show. Even if you're not a country music fan, you might like him because he's more country/rock. A few days after the concert I was listening to a radio station I normally don't put on and the DJ said he went to the same concert with a friend and he loved it, and he hates country music. Youtube video of one my favorite Keith urban songs, Raining On Sunday. Not from the concert I saw tho. Keith
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I have to go back to work tomorrow. ![]()

Uhm, something a little serious to start off. I've been getting back into watchng the news lately and saw the what's been happening in Iran. I knew they had a presidential election coming up but was unprepared for the reality of the sham that occured. I have to say that I thank God every day that I live in a country were my single vote has a voice. I've been voting every year for the past couple of years and take my boys with me to show them how important it is to exocise that right. They've even had a mock election in November at school.
It's a real shame that in a country like Iran, where I've heard approx 80% of eligible voters actually vote that something like this can happen. Here's what happened. The presidential election happened. Iran is 100% PAPER votes, which means MILLIONS of votes must be counted by hand. THREE HOURS after the polls closed, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was delared the winner! IMPOSSIBLE!
Millions of votes counted in three hours, don't think so. And of course, as soon as the citizens call Ahmadinejad on his fraud, he shuts the country down.

Now that I've depressed everybody, something fun TV.

Mental: Episodes 1X2-4. I got a little behind and watched the last two episodes back to back last night. It's a decent show but sometimes I forget it's on and it's a good thing I DVR it. It's actually been getting better every week.
1X2: A Beautiful Delusion. The patient is a pregnant woman who, upon an ultrasound, we discover is not pregnant at all. Jack wants to admit her to the psych ward so he can find out why she has convinced herself she's pregnant. Her husband arrives, and he's an OBGYN. Turns out, he's the loony. He's so determined to have a child that he convinced himself and his poor wife that they were having a baby.
Jack is getting calls from his missing sister and he's determined to find her. And two of the doctors are having an affair.
1X3: Book of Judges. The patient is a famous author, played by the legendary and recently deceased David Carradine, who has been in a cataonic state sever since recovering from a lightnig strike that klled his wife. Jack and Veronica try a type of mild electroshock treatment on Gideon and get slight results. But the daughter, Niobe, is still skeptical. during aqua therapy, Jack notices unusual behavior that a catanonic person shouldn't have. He becomes convinced that Gideon is faking in order to hide from the guilt of a recently discovered affair and his late wife's death. Jack pretends to start the electroshock again and Gideon comes out of his"catatonic" state.
1X4: Manic at the Disco. The patient is an 8 year old boy who has cut himself with a knife. Jack notices that he is "out of it" and he's pretending to play a video game. Carl decides to take on the boy's case case because the father is a wealthy, influential man. During the first session, Conner freaks out and smashes a bunch of valuble knick knacks. Jack takes over and is convinced Conner is bi-polar but can't prove it because the parents refuse an MRI and say there's no history of mental illness. Jack tells Conner that "playing" the game is a good way to fight his violent tendancies for now and tells him he should have a "secret backpack" to assist him in the game. The father finally confesses that his own mother was bi-polar and treatment is finally possible and Conner can finally lead a normal life. Jack finds out where his sister's last call came from, near a church, and he goes there to possibly get a chance meeting with her.
Mental has been getting better every week. I really don't see it going past one season though. EDIT: WOW. I didn't mean to scare any one from watching Mental. I guess I'm being really cynical. Too many good shows get canceled prematurely that I'm just assuming it will happen with some. I'm really enjoying this show and hope it gets renewed for next summer. We need some good, qualtiy shows during the off season. I really can't spend my entire summer avoiding bad reality shows. I think I will start a "Watch Mental Campaign". WATCH MENTAL-FRIDAY NIGHTS @9PM ON FOX I tuned in to see Chris Vance, he used to play James Whistler on S3 of Prison Break. Jack s definately my favorite character. he really cares about the patients and will do anything for their wellbeing. I already totally dislike Carl. He's nothing but a conniving, backstabbing, social climing slimeball who's more concerned with money and social status than the patients or the hospital. The administrater Nora is likable and she has the tough job of balancing the patients' needs and the hospital's needs. She's also a cancer survivor who's trying to reconnect with her teenage daughter.

The Closer. Episode 5X2: Blood Money.
As I anticipated, the second episode of the new season was better than the premire. The case focused on a kidnapped finacier who is being investigeted for fraud. The ransom demand was in a really strange amount which raised a lot of questions. One of which is this a real kidnapping or a plo to escape prosecution by the "victim". The victim's car is found with a lot of blood in it and the driver is also no where to be found. Now two people are missing and are either one alive? The kidnapping was real and the driver, Mario, used to work for the victim. Mario was apprehended and the kidnapping turned into a murder. Meanwhile, Kitty's still sick and Lt Provenza is acting strangely.

Jon and Kate Plus 8
I wasn't even sure if I was going to continue watching this show.
Last season I got extremely frustrated with the departure of the original premise of the show, a day in the life of a family with multiples, to extravagant trips to all points of the globe.
They did three whole hours of the Gosselin's trip to Hawaii for their wedding vow renewal, complete with Kate buying a dress from New York City's biggest wedding dress boutique.
And then came the rumors, controversy and Jon and Kate gracing every gossip magazine on the stands. Bleh. But alas, I've been a loyal fan from the beginning, I feel as if the kids are my own sometimes. I've practically watched them grow up and watch because of them.
So, I broke down and continued watching, albeit by DVR. The Closer airs at the same time and I need to prioritize. The season premire three weeks ago was very tense. It was the sextuplet's 5th birhdays. It was at a park and Kate rented a bunch of boucy houses for the kids and their friends. She also had a clown. A few uninvited guests spied from afar with their telephoto lenses.
Jon was conspicuosly late. He arrived in his brand new sports car and he and Kate barely interacted with each other. during the interview, which is always taped just prior to airing, they did not sit together and again was very tense. I'm really not going into detail since that whole tabloid situation is ugly.
The next two episodes aired in one night last week. It was Kate's birthday. Funny enough, she has the same birthday as my sister-in-law Patti. Jon happened to schedule a ski trip in Utah that week. Yeah, right, it was an accident. Puleeze. Kate and all the kids traveled to Baltimore MD to visit Charm City Cake. Duff made a birthday cake for Kate and all the kids decorated their own individual cakes. Next ep, Kate and Mady went on their own little trip to San Diego California while Jon held down the fort at home in Pa. Kate and Mady had a lot of nice girl time. Alexis fell down in the woods and had to go to the doctor's. That was a good little clip because she got to drink a milkshake for lunch and her brothers and sisters were jealous. Again in the interview, Jon and Kate sat on the chair together, but Mady was between them. This will become a running theme.
This week's episode was combined with a new eisode of american Chopper, which I haven't watched in years and I happen to still love. I may start watching it again. Jon had a custome chopper made for him. The Tuetals came to the Gosselin house for a meet and greet and they hung out together for the day. The kids and Kated loved Mickey, he's such a big goofy teddy bear. Later in the week, Jon went up to the Orange County Chopper shop and assisted in the construction of his chopper. Paul Senior razzed on him like he does with his own sons and everyone became fast friends. when the chopper was done, the Tuetals hand delivered it along with a custom pink scooter for Kate, which she donated to the Ronald McDonald House for a charity auction. Jon's chopper was absolutely amazing, it had all the kids names painted on it along with a "Crazy 8's" decal with the birthdates of his kids. Really nice touches. Haha, Kate took Mikey to the spa and they had some "girl" time together.
Although I love the OCC guys, this ep really reminded me of how I'm becoming disallusioned with this whole show. Going away from "the day in the life" and being very extravagent. OCC custom choppers cost about $100,000.
During the interview, Jon and Kate did not sit together on the chair. They also interacted with each other a little as possible.

Saving Grace
Last night was the season 3 premire of Saving Grace. Grace Hanadarko returns for another season of redemption. This year Earl introduces Grace to Neely, a woman who also needs redemption. Grace's intervention into Neely's life causes great pain and injury and opens up a big bucket of worms. Homegrown terrroists are discovered on Oklahoma City and they plan on setting off a chemical weapon at a slain Police officer's funeral. Meanwhile, Grace and Ham are caught on film in a comprimising situatuion. That turned out to be an elaborate practical joke masterminded by Butch, who also announces his engagement. Earl, played by the extremely undrrated Leon Rippy, had an extremely emotional scene with Grace immediately after Neely was shot. It's the first time I've ever seen Earl break down like that, it was very raw and one of the best scenes of the episode.
That's my week so far. I've got some DVD's to continue/start on. I also DVR'd a couple of funny episodes of The Office last night. There's also a good repeat of Supernatural tomorrow. Hmmm, I think I'll make a big pot of Pasta Fajoli tonight, it's chilly today and that'll hit the spot. Yum yum. That'll give me some good energy to do some Harper's Island recaps.
Thanks for reading! Later.....

The Right Stuff in the Summertime
Hey everybody! ![]()
At 5:00pm today I officially started my vacation. I'm not going anywhere, just relaxing and getting caught up on things I've been putting off. Tomorrow I'll be making about 10 dozen cookies, for work of all places. The General Manager's meeting is this week and I've been neglecting to make cookies the past two months, 12 very unhappy men and women.
I need to make some meals to freeze for my father before he starves to death
, that's what he tells me anyway. Hmmmm, as long as I can keep away from the computer and TV.com, I may be able to get some scrapbook pages done as well. I've REALLY been neglecting that particular hobby. I haven't scrapbooked since my last vacation, last year! I should also clean my kids' dump of a room, haha, it's about that time of year. My stepson's brother is getting married on Saturday
Mike is in the Army and his future wife Amanda is in the Army reserves. And I have three recaps to write for Harper's Island.
Last Wednesday my boys and I went to see New Kids on the Block at Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain near Scranton Pa.

It was Evan and Tyler's first concert ever.
A late night for them and they almost made it through the whole thing. Evan amazes me, he actually fell asleep for about a half an hour, with all the noise! ![]()
Evan
Tyler
The first opening act was Jabbawockeez. They won America's Best Dance Crew in 2008. they previously competed on America's Got Talent. I've never heard of them, not much of a MTV fan, but they were very interesting. We got a kick out of their performance of Beyonce's Single Ladies. click
They also performed to New Kids' (You Got It)The Right Stuff ![]()

Next up was Jessie Mcartney. He's not someone I would normally go out of my way to listen to, but I really enjoyed his performance. He sang his biggest hit, and the only song I know, Beautiful Soul click and a new one I really enjoyed was How Do You Sleep click

New Kids On The Block! I almost didn't get tickets for the show, but the local radio station was having a special sale on lawn seats and LiveNation had no service fee Wednesday so I got the tix for about $10 each
We also got upgraded when we got there cause they had a few reserved seats left ![]()
I'm really glad I did cause I never went to see them back in the day and regretted it. They put on a great show and the crowd was so enthusiastic. Lots of love. They performed a mix of their biggest hits and songs from their new album, The Block. Music video for Summertime click
A nice man behind us put Tyler up on his shoulder to get a better view.
Jordan and Joey up on the bigscreen.
Danny breakdancing. Pretty good for an old man. ![]()
Donnie. Hot stuff! ![]()

Video for Tonight click (check out the leggings Jordan is wearing
)

Joey, check out the hat. ![]()

The New Kids performed a song between the 100 and 200 sections of reserved seats, Danny was about 15 feet away from me!
Poor tired boys, I don't how they did it. Fell asleep ![]()
Donnie and Jonathon.

Video for Hangin' Tough click

A little Then and Now.
My fave, Donnie Wahlberg. Now an actor and director.
In 2002 he starred in the short-lived police drama Boomtown and in 2007 he starred in The Kill Point alongside John Leguizamo, pictured below. He's also co-starred in many movies, including Saw II-V, The Sixth Sense and Righteous Kill.

Joey McIntyre, who has suddenly become a real hottie
& a close 2nd to Donnie. Joey competed in the first season of Dancing With The Stars and I saw him dance on an episode of Live with Regis and Kelly. ![]()

Jordan Knight. His voice has not changed a bit in 20 years. He can still belt out the falsetto that so few can do. Jordan recently appeared on the VH1 reality show The Surreal Life. Also a hottie, age is his friend. ![]()

Jonathon Knight, the shy one. Jordan's brother. Jonathon has been keeping a very low profile and lives and works in his home state of Massachusets. He has not performed live since he left NKOTB in the mid 90's. I checked his bio on IMDB, he was born in the same month and year as my hubby, OMG!

Danny Wood. Danny has been doing a few bit parts in some inderpendent films and appeared on some talk shows. Prettty much keepng a low profile.

My next concert is in two weeks, June 28th. Def Leppard/Poison/Cheap Trick ![]()

I'm such a 80's/90's gal. ![]()

Again at Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain. That facility is having all the good concerts this summer, it's outdoors, which is nice cause you have your space put on the lawn.
TV
Burn Notice. Episode 3X2 Question and Answer. Michael has a new nemesis in Detective Michelle Paxson. Michael's new clients need him to find their kidnapped son. it's also Michael's birthday and Madeline is planning the birthday party Michael never had as a kid, cake, presents and all the trimmings. Det Paxson is hot on Michael's case, she found out about Michael's secret stash of illegal explosives and is bound and determined to take him off the streets. She thinks Michael's a criminal and is watching his every move. Mike, Fi and Sam use the "back door" to get at the secret stash of C4 in their storage room. Well, they make a back door. They cut through the back wall of the room with a "water saw", pretty neta stuff. I wonder if it's a real tool.
Mike finds the boy, reunites him with his parents and alse ends up bringing the estranged couple back together. He even finds time to attend the birthday pary his mom has planned for him. Awwww.
I think this was a better eppie than the season premire. Det Paxson looks to be an exciting new character and I can't wait for more interaction between her and Mike. ![]()

Harper's Island. Episode 1X9 Seep. Wow, this series is really getting good. I can only recall only one meh eppie . Since then, it's just been getting more and more tense as secrets are coming out into the open and major characters are getting killed off. This week, Abby finds out what could be a shocking revelation that could tear her whole world apart. Two characters are killed off and the Sheriff may have another secret. I'm not going to reveal too much, if you want to know you'll just have to watch. But I can't keep this under wraps, lots of Chloe and Cal action. Chloe gets to see her man save a life.
And I'm 99.5% sure I can eliminate them from being the killer, during the two murders, they were busy gettin' busy ![]()
These pics are from Ep 1X5 Thwack, the site I use for HI screencaps is only up to that particular episode
Supernatural fans will recognize Jim "Uncle Bobby" Beaver as Sheriff Mills and a now brunette Katie "Blond Ruby" Cassidy as the bride Trish Wellington.

I really haven't watched too much TV this past week. I've been busy weeding through my pictures and gathering screencaps for future blogs. I have True Blood S1 disc 2 to finish. And yesterday I bought Season 1 of Chuck!
Yay. I have Season 3 of Prison Break backordered. Tonight I'll be watching In Plain Sight. Tomorrow is The Closer and Jon and Kate plus 8. I'll probably do at least two more blogs this week, I just need to figure out the subjects.
Hmmmm, from the thunder I hear, it sounds like it's gonna pour. It's been downpouring off and on for the past week. Today we had perfect weather and Wednesday was near perfect for the outdoor concert. It was just really muggy. I love the sound of rain. ![]()
