so on my trip to gamestop today i realized one thing.. the place was f-ing packed. on top of that the people there are complete idiots, but thats another story for another day. anyways i made great use of the buy 2 get 1 free used deal. here is what i got: resistance fall of man, haze, killzone 2, heavenly sword, gran turismo 5 prologue, and infamous. i think that is a fairly good start to my collection. i really wanted to get demon souls cause i heard it was good, but its still expensive. then i was also gonna snag resistance 2 but they didnt have the casing, only the game, and i dont really like buying a game like that. it doesnt really matter though i should be held over for a while, and i should have enough money put away to get both those and a couple more games when i get time in the next few months.

To get this party train rolling, College!

It's been a bundle of fun and I've basically been assimilated into the college life. Weekends filled with beverages and football, weekdays filled with school work and the constant battle with everyone's dreaded enemy, the snooze button. I've moved into a townhouse with 3 of my friends from last year. This is honestly some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. You'd think that as a political science major, I'd have copious amounts of time to spend playing games and things of that nature, but I've found time to be at a premium for some reason.

I really should be doing better in a lot of my clas.ses, and I'm working on doing so. I'd inform you all of my grades but that's for me to know and my parents to never ever find out. Suffice it to say, I'm an average student when I could be a lot more. This happens in more aspects than one, particularly when it comes to cheering for my Number 4 Ranked Hokies. If any of you have been following college football, you may have heard about the Virginia Tech-Nebraska Game which VT won 16-15 in the final seconds of the game on 82-yard and 11-yard passes and the 31-7 beat down VT issued the University of Miami in the cold and the rain. To all of you people that know what I'm talking about: I WAS THERE!! Having season tickets on the 50 yard line is something else, let me tell you. Particularly when you give your team up for dead, promise to eat your own shoe if the quarterback pulls through in the last minute, only to watch him prove you wrong, as if he really did want to see you eat your own shoe. Also: massive rainstorms can turn your clothing into 30 pounds of dead weight and give you a strong enough cold to make you miss 2 days of classes. (Totally worth it)

In non-sports news:

• I really don't know how I'm surviving. I'm eating pasta for dinner 6 nights out of 7 with the other night being pizza. If anyone has any quick healthy and tasty meals, I'd love to hear from you.
• Having my own room again is a godsend, even if I took up most of it by using 2 twin mattresses to form a king.
• I've developed a strange love for all things Rhodesian/South African. Don't ask me why, I do however know why I love having their flags hanging in my room.
• I bought a pith helmet while uh....slightly tipsy. (Visible in flag photo, look on the pillows.)

In gaming news, I bought Beatles Rock Band and one of the Guitars. Originally Gamestop sent me a ps3 controller instead of an xbox one, but the local store was kind enough to provide me with one in exchange. Great times have been had, hell, even my mother stopped by and played rock band with me and the guys at one point. Just goes to show that music and video games can bring people together. I've also pre-ordered Modern Warfare 2, and I honestly can't wait to play it. The new features, weapons, modes, etc is just too much for me to take. My favorite weapon in the world, the venerable FN FAL, has been confirmed to make an appearance, much to my excitement. I might lose my social life and academic responsibility when it finally arrives at my townhouse.

I've rediscovered my love for CoD4 yesterday and today. There's something satisfying about watching someone keel over as my G3 bucks on the screen. Been playing with old friends, my brother, my cousins, and random people. It's been a fantastic time and really reminds me how I lost so much time to this great game. I can only imagine how MW2 will turn out.

Few entertainment notes:

• District 9 is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
• The Hangover and The Goods: Live Hard Sell Hard follow it closely.
• Vortex by Larry Bond is easily my favorite novel of all time.
• I've been spending a lot of time (embarrassinglyenough...) playing the Text Based RPG "Nationstates." It's like writing a cooperative novel.
• Taylor Swift reminds me of an angel.

My 8800GTX is finally packing it in, after 3 years of constant thrashing. So I'm getting an HD5870 to replace it, I'm looking forward to trying out DX11 in the future with Windows 7.

Hello to all my friends here on gamespot. I have not been on gs alot lately because my personal life is in a tail spin. I have fallen into a financial black hole. As a result of this i am unable to keep the home that i'm in and am forced to find a new place to live. Fortunately, i am clear that if things don't change quickly foreclosure will be beating down my door. So I am acting now rather than waiting for this to happen.

I must find homes for many of my pets even tho i will be able to take some with me. I have a family member who is having some medical issues and i am praying that things will not take a turn for the worst.

I'll be on gs when i can, i miss all of my friends here at gs and would like nothing better than to hang around here all of the time, because gs is alot more fun than the real world. This is life however and this to shall pass.

I'm definately not leaving gs i'm just not going to be on as much for a while. When thins settle down i'll be more active.

I missed out on a new emblem and i'm not even concearned about this, because emblems are great but just not as important as food on the table and a warm bed to sleep in.

I will be checking in as often as i can untill things settle down.

After several years slowly burning my eyes out of thier sockets, I think maybe it's time to move on. I'm afraid recently the appeal of Gamespot has worn a little thin, even with the undeniable thrill of posting another generic comment about the person above me to bring me back each day. I've also lost interest games a lot too, which would begger the question of what point there would be in putting time into a gaming website. It's also that great part of life where I work my arse off for a bit of paper with letters (hopefully A's) on it, which isn't making things any easier round my way.

In short, ladies and gentleman, i'm getting out of here.

Since I probably won't be around to look after my unions anymore, the leaders thereof should feel to demote me, denounce my name and spam my inbox with hate mail and lewd messages also.

But that's not the funny thing, I went to throw the ball and for those who watch London Tipton (ya that's right I've seen her from time to time I'm that hard to figure out lol) I did something like her lol. I let the ball go and it hurtelled into another lane haha no strike though sadly , I kinda froze there for a second like "opps..." haha.

I just stumbled upon Gamespot for the first time in a very long while. How long, you ask? Well, my most recent message in my inbox was from around September of 07. Hopefully I'll get involved in Gamespot and all its fun again... I remember having some good times on here way back when. Plus, my computer is pretty much my best friend here on Christmas break.

Hmm I have not posted for a while. Just to say I have only found not so recent games to play :/, One thing I found is that developers need to make for RTSs. However there is not much to say involving that right now. College start September 3rd officially. So Have a good day. Once again a short post... I added two games to my rated list that is it...Aye I did not even know that Gamespot had a format update. The change seems ok, but it seems to work out. (I need to change my banner)

So far everytime I try to use steam something either doesnt work or goes wrong. I have recently had my account hacked and have lost about 100$ worth of games. Although I was able to track him down and corner him, this is the user: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197987414777

Also the program is fairly frustrating to delete, even when you uninstall the program it will still pop up every single time you boot up your computer. This is very frustrating and I would much rather just be able to play them straight from the game like WoW or BF1942. This is mainly the reason why I play more console games and refrain from using the computer.

Overall if ANYONE has a phone number or a way to contact steam other than posting a "question for the staff" please let me know.

So - with me being a die-hard fan of Command & Conquer, you might expect me to be completely pumped up with excitement over the fact that there are 3 C&C games in development for release within the next year right now. But then again, maybe you've already realised what this blog's about and think the exact opposite.

I dunno, I just can't help wondering if EA are perhaps overworking the C&C franchise a little. Okay - with Tiberium Wars the fans were clammering for a continuation to the Tiberium Universe, and they got it - kinda. Sure it wasn't what some of us were expecting ... but the basics were there at least. It ended up being a sort of average - but admittedly brave - stab at reinvigorating the series ... which was nice to be sure. But then - the inevitable expansion was announced ... AND a new game in the FPS section of the series ... AND a new continuation to the second universe of the franchise. Am I the only one who thinks that EA are very soon going to run out of ideas and the series will become stale?

Don't get me wrong - this could be just what the series needs - giving ALL the fans something to cheer about ... those of us who wanted to see where the Tiberium plague goes from here ... those of us with the tongue-in-cheek Red Alert series as our favourites, and those of us who want a different take on the whole thing. But then again - I get the feeling that EA are still working for the money, and not for the fans as much. There are still problems with Tiberium Wars - problems that the community are trying desperately to sort out, with very little help from EA. The 1.10 patch has taken many months to sort out, and though it isn't as important as some of the earlier, quicker patches, the fact that we know there IS a patch around waiting to come means that, I'm sure, many people aren't comfortable settling down into a particular strategy, for fear of having to change it once the patch eventually comes through.

Now, I myself never really thought that a Red Alert 3 would work, considering the whole point of it would be that the Allies and Soviets fought a world war ... AGAIN. That story just gets old after two times, ya know? Fortunately, EA seems to have some brains behind them, and have made a spectacularly brave attempt to take us back there anyway - however, some of the community seem to have misinterpreted it still. As far as I can tell, EA's story for RA3 means that RA2 never takes place - not, as some people think, that RA1 never happens. But then again, the way it looks, it seems that RA3 is going to be just as out-there as RA2, which I personally never cared much for myself. Could it just be a nicely-wrapped up way of making us play the same game just with better graphics ...

As for "Tiberium" ... well I'm sorry but I refuse to play a game with such a crap title to it. It sounds interesting story-wise ... it appears to open up the next chapter in the C&C universe - the Scrin Invasion. But since there is little info on this at the moment, we'll have to wait and see.

I just hope EA aren't expending all their energy and ideas right now, in order to win the fans back in the short-term, only to run completely dry in a couple of years time - thus losing all those fans all over again. I do agree - the series needed a shot in the arm to reintroduce it back to the gaming community, but hopefully that shot won't kill it all over again.

Hey all GS members. I am greatly sorry that i was absent for such a long time. I been taking care of my dad, getting a job and busy turning 15. Yes i am 15. Many of you thought i was 21 or higher, and was in a ps company. Well that is my brother. Just thought i should get that out b4 any problems where incountered.
