FINALLY lvl 21.........
seems like it took 6-8 months to clear lvl 20 here on GS. it only took me about a year to get up TO 20, who knows why so long on the actual lvl 20.

2 Ubi-Soft titles looking good...
Ubi-Soft is working on quite a few games that look to be pretty promising. I'm most excited about the new Splinter Cell and The Settlers: Rise of an Empire. I played the first Splinter Cell for a little while and got tired of sneaking around all the time. The story line of the new SC sounds compelling - trying to "run away" from the FBI, etc and having an interactive environment sounds more fun to me.
The Settlers sounds like a good RTS. I love the medevil period. Hopefully Ubi will release a demo of this game around release time.

no embelem for watching super paper mario marathon?
i was hoping for an embelem for watching (two hours of) the super paper mario marathon, kinda like my e3 embelems.... but even if GS doesn't hand those out, it was fun to watch anyways. that game is gonna PWN!!!!!!!!!

i expected there to be a drought of wii games, as what happens with consoles fairly soon after launch. developers have games ready for launch, then have to start making more. other developers wait to see if the new console actually sells....and when it does, they start making some games for it.
the xbox 360 elite it pretty dumb. yippie...hdmi blah blah. what about the crappy 120 gig HDD???? those cost about $50.... and with all the videos M$ is now offering (and still all the game demos).... 120 gigs seems a little low...

wow. ...it's been a while........
what is up with me? i haven't really been on GS much the past 2 or 3 weeks. i suppose work and a little freelancing on the side, oh PLUS the 4th of july weekend has all been in the mix. funny thing though.... the only thing i've done on GS in the past 3 weeks is post a few comments on the news articles and also d/l'd the 400+ mb WoW patch. 3 weeks ago i was 2% on lvl 16. now i'm 2% on lvl 17. funny thing about that..... i raised a level faster when i nearly did nothing compared to when i would actually try to get % points. go figure....

a few promising looking games (halo 3? what's that), and the rug pulled out from sony with bald man's (fake) tat of the GTAiv logo, not that i care to ever play it. then moore was owned by r* with it not being exclusive to 360.

Hey, why did my good taste icon disappear? Well, at least GS gave me an 'old-school' gaming icon. Because, yes, I've been gaming since before it was cool (post pong, pre-NES).
