2006! I shall decide my favorite games. First I will announce the nominees and then I shall say the winner!
Wii - Wii Sports - This game is really great, it tests the wii's power and I was amazed. It reaches further then my expectation for a brand new revoloutionary machine. Swing a racket, put in golf, punch in boxing, roll in bowl, and swing in bat is exactly what you do.
Wii - Need for Speed Carbon - This is one of my favorite Need for Speed game of all time for now. It features 3 types of cars in case your opinounated. Newer customizations and the tier class just means you need better cars to win. When it's on the wii, the immersive controls take over from a steering wheel to a gas pedal.
Wii - Zelda: Twilight Princess - One of my reasons why I bought a Wii. It gives new gimmicks to aim a bow and arrow as if, swing your swrod to slay monsters, and innovative new puzzles that will make you try and try again. The biggest let down is the difficulty unfortuantely.
DS - New Super Mario Bros. - Another great Mario game from Nintendo. Reinventing the classic and bringing in the new is always a good mix to video games nowadays. Its short, but I won't say easy. Mini games are fun, but not the main point. You can do jump and stomp, but with newer gimmicks such as wall jump and ground pound gives it a new way to create new 2d adventures while reinventing a classic.
DS - Metroid Prime Hunters - Metroid Prime on a portable device? Well it's possible now. Despite it's broken single player mode, multiplayer is it's main game. This game also done what no other Metroid Prime has done before, it gives it ammunition with various weaponary. This Metroid game gives a more similair first person shooter action which is kind of a bad thing and good thing.
and the winner is.... Wii Sports! It may seem shocking that Zelda did not win in my opinoun, but believe me there is somehting about that game that I don't really like. It brings old elements and I think it is worser than wind waker because it brings back old not new. In my guess, Zelda came in 2nd.
