My 2007 Nintendo Game of the Year!

It's been a while since I made another blog (one year actually) and now here I am with my second blog.

Let's start off shall we?

DS - Dragon Quest Monster Joker - What an awesome game. I spent countless hours level grinding like crazy on this game. It has great graphics for a DS. I like the combat system and its been the same eversince which is just fine. There are some great new features that has been added such as scouting and a different way to breed your monsters. Everything is new in this game actually, but they kept the things that doesn't need a change. There are hundred of monsters, all in shapes and sizes.

DS - Pokemon Pearl/Diamond - Every single Pokemon game sequel gets even better especially when they get more species of Pokemon added to the still growing list. The graphics has been refined, nothing spectacular, but suits it nicely. No major changes into the gameplay actually, but more minigames and a wi-fi features really gave a boost into this game. The new set of pokemons adds more into the deep gameplay the pokemon series has. I say this is the best addition to the Pokemon series ever.

DS - The Legend of Zelda - The Phantom Hourglass - I have to say this game is the best Zelda handheld ever. I really like the cel-shading in the Zelda games because it looks like it is made for everyone. It has a nice storyline and the newly implemented controls works very well suprisingly. Thanks to the touch screen functions of the DS, the Zelda gameplay has become more challenging and exciting as ever. The new dungeons were nothing extroadinary, but were good dungeons and they will provide challenges to anybody. Great game, all fans should defintely have it.

DS - Mario Party DS - Always wanted to take the party on the go? This is exactly what this game offers. Mario Party DS is exactly the enjoyment of any Mario Party series, but it is portable. It takes advantage of the DS touch screen features to make very enjoyable minigames. It has multiplayer options (of course, it should), but it lacks online play unfortunately. More boards, more events, and more characters! You may see some recycling in this game, but that shouldn't stop you. It would be an even better game with online play, but not this time I guess.

and the best 2007 DS game is... Pokemon Pearl/Diamond! Plenty of tough competitors here and Zelda almost takes the cake, but it was missing out a few things that I hoped for. The pokemon series just have extensive gameply and replayability, something I'll take over anyday.

I'll be doing the Wii shortly as this all I can do for today! Thank you!
