After a crazy week, some great (and well deserved) rest...
The week before last was crazy!!! I had two huge tests, math and chemistry, and I hardly slept at all cause I was studying so hard for them... I concentrated more on math because it is my weakest subject, and I think it was a big mistake, I probably didn't do very well on the math test, and if I score less than 3 I'm already on exam at the end of the semester... In chemistry though I did reasonably well, eve if I left two questions without answer, but I could've done a lot better if I had studied for it just a little more![]()
After that the week ended perfectly, with a party to celebrate the 35th birthday of the Chemistry Academic Directory (or something like that), each course has it's own, with and elected president, vice-president, and other members. The party was great and I got just a little bit drunk, cause I went straight from the chemistry test and I hadn't eaten anything for a long time![]()
This week we had a regional holiday only in my state, to celebrate the Gaúcho traditions. It is a crazy holiday, cause it is suppose to commemorate de Farrapos war between 1835 and 1845. People from our state fought to be independent from Brazil and lost, so I don't see the point to celebrate a lost war. But now it is more of a day to eat the Brazilian barbecue, listen to local music and celebrate the gaúcho traditions. The holiday was on Thursday but I skipped c_lass on Wednesday to rest for longer, even though I had to go to c_lass on Friday, it was a great rest and I slept most part of Wednesday and Thursday
And the icing in the cake was that my in-laws are away since Tuesday, so me and the Bf have the house to ourselves for the first time in almost a year
Too bad they are coming back Sunday night, and another week comes, this time with the grades from my tests!!!!![]()
And how was your week, guys???
CAN'T BELIEVE CSI AND CSI:NY ARE BACK THIS WEEK!!!!
Huge Hugs and Kisses for all

Happy Independence Day Brazil!!!!!
So Friday was our independence day! In a famous scene by the Ipiranga River on 7 September 1822, Prince Pedro, riding his horse, tore the Portuguese blue and white insignia from his uniform, drew his sword, and swore in the presence of his guard of honour: "By my blood, by my honour, and by God: I will make Brazil free." Then he cried "It is time! Independence or Death! We are separated from Portugal". Those words constituted Brazil's Proclamation of Independence. The "Independence or Death" cry would become the motto of the Brazilian emancipation. And since then, we celebrate our independence
There were big parades in every major city around the country, and unfortunately I couldn't atted the one in my town because I'm going crazy, studying for a math test I have on Wednesday
But I managed to get some pictures of the Biggest parade the one in our Capital, Brasilia.
Here are the Brazilian President and the Fist Lady, Lula and Marisa.
Some policemen at the parade, making a pyramid (how can they stay that way in a moving motorcycle is beyond me
)
A little of our folklore
And some aerial acrobats, the "esquadrilha da Fumaça" or the Smoke Squad

After the parade, the President received a Chopper Motorcycle, as a gift from the Senior family, from the American Chopper TV Program. They donated the Bike to be auctioned and the money is to go to the president's Fome Zero (Zero Hunger) social program.
The design of the Bike was based on the lines of the Government Palace and the Congress Towers, in Brasilia

My weekend was terrible, I studied most of the time, and to top it all I have some kind of allergy in my eyelids and they are killing me!!!! They itch so much!!!! The doctor gave me some eye drops that I have to put every two hours, day and night for six days!!!!!!
So I'm even more sleep deprived than I was before![]()
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!!

Happy Friends Day!!!!
Well, I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in Brazil today we celebrate FRIENDS DAY... not the series.... we usually send cards, or emails to our closest friends saying how much we like to have them as friends and go out with our friends to have a drink and hang out. It's very fun, even though most ppl go out with their friends every time, today is a day to get even closer to your friends and celebrate you friendship.
So I want to share this with you all and tell all my tv.com friends how much I like you all guys, it's been really fun to meet you all here, and even though I've been absent from the forums I really love you guys and miss talking to many of you that don't come very often to my blog.
HAPPY FRIENDS DAY TO ALL!!!!
Hugs, Kisses and a round of drinks, on me, to you all![]()
