Ahhh yes that little glimmer of hope they give you the 2 week vacation. It's not quite the summer vacation so you can't do as much as you'd like but you can't sit on your butt and do nothing so what to do what to do? Well I could study for my exams...get a job,,,yeah yeah I will be doing both those things but I will also be taking a stab at reviewing my games. Yes I've decided the only way I will play my games is if I set myself homework and set tasks to write about...yes incredibly sad I know I have 22 PS2 to finish they are my main priority and I obviously won't get them all finished maybe 2-3. I will be going in alphabetical order so the first cab off the ranks is Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana All the others will have to wait until December when I have 3 months of hehe. Looking back at some of my old reviews though I may have to delete them so I don't look bad. They were written when I was 15/16 and was well...a "noob" and make me look like a complete idiot and must be eradicated

I'm really looking forward to this though I looked at IGN's how to write a review (yes laugh all you like ) I think they had some good tips I'm only 1.5 hrs into At. Ir (I started tonight) but honestly that's the most time I've spent gaming in a while...even though I spent a lot of money on games So yeah this will be good!

Decided not to get the Wii so I had 7 wii games that would be useless to me so I could either sell them on ebay which would take a lot of effort and time which I don't have with uni so only option was to take them to EB For 7 games I got $150 in store credit which is low and I worked out that I spent about $250 buying them. It was stupid of me to buy them without having the console first. Lesson learnt. Reason I am not getting a wii is I have decided instead to get a the new PS3 slim model instead And I don't want all 3 im pretty sure that earns you an official mega nerd title Not that there is anything wrong with that *looks around at angry nerd mob ready to kill me* Hey look a shiny console! -Runs away just in time-

In other news Uni really sucks the big one I am just about ready to quit! The last two weekends I had to do 6 hours of non stop math tasks and this weekend I doubt will be much different Also I really wanted to see Ponyo tonight as I am a huge studio ghibli fan but my backwards town doesn't have it showing for some reason. I can't wait for mid semester holidays! just a few more weeks and I get a 2 week holiday I will be able to get my hair done, go shopping, hang with my old high school friends who I literally haven't seen in months (thank the lord for facebook as sad as that sounds ) oh and of course play games can't forget that .

Well this is the first year I've watched the E3 conferences. Microsofts was on at 3:30am and Nintendo and Sony's were 2am and 4am respectively!) So here are the impressions of a sleep deprived woman

Microsoft

Wow this was massively dissapointing! Coming into E3 being a huge 360 fan I was left really disapointed. Hardly anything good to show and down right embarassing with that new camera motion thing and creepy milo program. There was some good though.

- The sabotuer- I like the look of this one. Don't usually like shooters per se but I like the theme/setting so pretty exciting.

-1080p and video marketplace coming to Australia

Nintendo

Very pleased with this conference. Although they spend waaay too much time talking about sales and wanting to bring in more casuals (great just what they need to do focus on more casual games why not try and keep the audience you already have happy huh?. That vitality sensor thing is just absolutely ridiculous...

Even though I don't own a PS3 I like how they have remained the most serious out of the 3. Not putting out 100s of casual titles just to make money like Nintendo. 360 is still good for the more hardcore titles aswell but after that motion camera stuff I don't like the look of their future...But sony also showed a new controller and it was just as bad if not worse you just have to see the thing it is uuuugly Anyway here is what I enjoyed from the Sony conference

- Uncharted 2- Showed a really nice demo of actual gameplay not just a CGI trailer

-The Last Guardian- This one looks interesting really sweet feeling watching it

-God of War 3- Gameplay looks enjoyable, graphics look like a PS2 game....not very impressive

-Assassins Creed- Not exclusive but MS didn't play a demo so I listed it here. Game looks absolutely incredible

I'm sad they didn't show White Knight Chronicles. Maybe if a few more games start to come out and a slimmer version is released I would like to buy one though as it stands, including the games mentioned above, there are only 8 or 9 games I would even like for it.

They also showed the PSP Go- Very bad design in my opinion not much else to say I just the whole thing pointless...

Ok well today I finally did it. I traded in my PSP with 14 games and a movie and 7 PS2 games. All I got was $150 in store credit to EB and $50 cash from cash converters (EB doesn't take non-Australian consoles). Kinda feel ripped off but I tried Ebay first in lots and noone bought them so just had to do it this way. Dunno what im gonna use the credit for aswell. The only thing I BUY is points for XBLA and Genesis games...but I don't need that many points Should of taken cash but you get 20% less.

So do you guys trade in games? Do you think it's a HUGE rip off. That really isn't alot of money I mean you could make that in a few days and today I already spent $30 on pants and $40 on a jumper (which already has a hole ) so you don't get much for your money in other areas.
