What is this? Ok so to put it simple Gibson filed a patent for "technology for simulating a musical performance" and now they are mad at Guitar Hero well for one what about Rock Band they pretty much copied GH? and they knew about GH since the first one and they liscenced their guitars how come now they decided to sue? Money, money, and did I mention money? Guitar Hero made over $1 billion since the 1st Guitar Hero and they are wiping with 100s since. Gibson said "obtain a license under Gibson's...patent or halt sales of any version of the 'Guitar Hero' game software." So what does this mean for us? No Guitar Hero: Aerosmith? I hope not they will probably just take option A and even if they have to pay $100 million they will still be able to wipe with 100s. I'm sure they are going to go after Rock Band next.
